Skill Update?[edit]
Haha, NO! :D — Raine Valen 23:26, 4 Nov 2010 (UTC)
- grrr I hate the first week of the month... (Xu Davella 23:27, 4 November 2010 (UTC))
It's almost half a year ago since we last got this promised bi-monthly skill update. InfestedHydralisk 23:28, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

- Fun stuff. It would be nice if we'd see a preview of 3 skills at least or if they'd say "Hey! That will happen in Summer 2013, stop thinking about it!" Markus Clouser 23:33, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Heh.[edit]
So much for the skill update after halloween.80.192.156.3 23:28, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- Last time I checked, it's still after Halloween. In fact, it will be until approximately 5 months and 26 days from now. The Live Team is very swamped at the moment with Halloween, Wintersday, Cantha New Year, Skill Updates, and the new content coming out in Cantha. Give them some time. Blood Red Giant Mani Mortus 23:34, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- They promised a bi-monthly update, and after like half a year, we haven't even got a preview. They could atleast inform us of something. InfestedHydralisk 23:36, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- I think most people have given up on Arenanet following anything they say. I'm just starting to think they're smoking too much pot or doing too much crack and have no idea what they're saying ... or something... seriously, with the amount of bs with the updates they've got to be doing something illegal. ~~000.00.00.00~~ 00:21, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

^--You are making that sound like something bad...--Batousai 00:24, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Basically Anets support is shit, it always has been and always will be. On the surface it looks great, but when you actually experience the updates, they are usually horrible. First there was Izzy; please, if someone can name one good thing Izzy has done besides leave name it. After Izzy came what I call the void, the guy left such a hole (quite literally considering his "size") and destruction in the game that nobody could realistically fix it. A bit like a person with a tumor being treated by a "tumor-whisperer" or other psychic. When the real doctor finally arrives all he can do is say is: "Sorry, you only have till the release of GW2". DISREGARD THAT I SUCK COCK; NO REAL BALANCER EVER ARRIVED ON THE SCENE LIKE THE DOCOTOR IN THIS ANALOGY HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!11111!!!1 79.203.87.133 00:43, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

- So god-awesome that it can't get bi-monthly updates done. This comment will be followed by at least one 8====O sucking fanboy stating that I can't expect that from a game without fees. Well ya know what, how about anet just tells us exactly that; "Sorry guys, money is gone, no more updates, cya in GW2" which is basically the truth and would do a whole lot better than all the shit updates and promises. Okay pumpkin? 79.203.87.133 00:43, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
- Lets play ArenaNet says. It is exactly the opposite of MadKing says. ArenaNet says: Bimonthly Skill Update! ArenaNet says: 7 Heroes Team! ArenaNet says: Guild Wars 2! ArenaNet says: Botters get Banned!(Go to JQ, if you fail to notice the obvious botters, you need some really urgent help) ArenaNet says: New Hall of Heroes Map! 173.32.190.24 00:49, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
- are people seriously upset or surprised by arenanet not following through on promises at this stage of guild wars? new content comes when new content comes, not when arenanet says it will. can we please stop adding 'this isn't a new content arenanet sux' to every update ever 67.183.108.144 02:44, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
- Well people wouldn't complain about bad "updates" if there are no bad "updates". Seriously, if Anet would stop with the "Monthly tournament rotation" stuff that nobody cares about because all good PvP'ers left the game (because of the good bi-monthly skill updates, *cough*), and would spend their time by getting us some REAL updates... - 128, Raine's comment was directed to you (and a few others, but mostly you). Here's why: Your argument has the same structure as "I dislike our current president. Therefore, I should stop voting." Obviously, this is the logic of someone lacking large portions of their brain. Ignoring things may work for you and your job at wal-mart, but it doesn't work for people who want to change things. Criticism is how game companies improve, which unfortunately, Anet hadn't learned until very recently. ~Shard 01:01, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
- That is a horrible analogy. GW isn't a democracy, and you don't vote on anything. It would be more like "I dislike my colleges professors because they don't know what they are teaching, I'm going to change to a college that has professors that actually know what they are doing." Anyway, I'm pretty sure 128 and some others were talking about those people who literally sound like they are being forced at gun point to play the game every day. The basic message is "If you think the game is dead and beyond repair, don't bother us with your babble." You can't honestly tell me that the majority of the IP's up there complaining, are only doing it to be annoying. Believe it or not, there are many people that get off on bitching about things they don't care about. Kairu 05:56, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Yes Kairu, because not complaining and not being critical is obviously a good idea, lets give some examples of what not being criticalgave us.
- Not being critical/complaining gave us:
- Witch hunting
- A flat earth
- Hitler (also, Godwins law)
- Mussolini
- (insert dictator)
- Bad human rights
- The lousy proffesor from your example
- Your lousy example
- Fanboys
- GW anno 2009-2010
- ...
- However!I have to congratulate the non-critical people on supplying us with their delicious tears. QQ qq QQ qq QQ qq82.169.222.223 15:12, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- Did you even read what I said? Where did I say that critisism was a bad thing? All I said is that the majority of the IP addresses up there won't be happy with the game no matter what is done (Within the scope of what is possible). They are in the category of users who just get off on complaining. You could give them exactly what they wanted, and they would just move on to something else. As for tears... Seriously? I think it's mostly just annoyance with idiots that you are hearing, not tears. Kairu 19:59, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
In the comment before the one you made above. Also, delicous sweet tears onomnoms, please give us more. You were implying that I can hear tears now as well? Please do tell me how! I wish to enjoy your tears on an audiovisual level too. On a more serious note: Pointing out people complain =/= how to balance the game. Sincerely, Mr QQlicous 82.169.222.223 20:17, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Complaining.999999 = 1[edit]
In any place we could go, we will always find people who will complain for everything. Guild wars is not a exception, the funniest thing is about what they complain here... ear cats suck, spectracles suck, new costumes suck, skill update sucks, no update sucks. but they will never leave with dignity, they hate the game, they hate anet but they are still playing a game that brings too much suffering to them. And yes I'm complaining about complainers which makes me a complainer XD --Batousai 02:46, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, since most complainers are IP's, I've always wondered if they're just A.Net's competition trying to stir up discontent. Especially since the majority of people I know in game love 80% of the updates, and are generally fine with the rest. Blood Red Giant Mani Mortus 03:02, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Seven Hero/ Full Hero Party update[edit]
So when is it coming? is it hard to code to make it happen? can we please hurry it up and put it into place? I'm enjoying LOTRO free2play at the moment, but comes back to GW every once in awhile. I would stay here again 24/7 if that update is implemented. --Ridz16 23:10, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

- Even if you could only chose 3 of your heroes to be placeable individually, that'd be cool. It be just like having henchies in terms of flags only you chose their builds and can micro skill usage. 86.174.14.126 17:36, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

I don't believe you are going to get to run all over the game with 7 heroes in your party. -- Wyn talk 23:55, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- If they only did it for those missions, lots of people would complain. If lots of people complained, anet would do something about it. I really can't see it happening for just one area, though I like that better than it happening in every area. :\ — Raine Valen 0:01, 13 Nov 2010 (UTC)
- You can look forward to filling out your party with Heroes as another feature of the free update build that will include Embark Beach. source Give me the source of the blog where it says it will ONLY be in the new outpost. Notice I underline the word "filling" which means if an outpost only have 4 slot then its logical to be able to fill that party. --Ridz16 03:31, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
- I have no clue where I read it, and I could be wrong. I guess I'll just be really, really, really disappointed if they make full parties of heroes available gamewide. I mean, what's the point then? Just release Guild Wars as a single player, game that has little if any interaction with anyone else, hell, why does it even have to be online at that point? They could just package it as a run of the mill single player game. Removing the personal interaction with other players will totally destroy the entire concept of the game imo. -- Wyn talk 04:17, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
- I agree with you, but I also see that fact that most people H/H everything anyway. Game interaction went out the window when the game got so big that the player base was spread out too thin. Kairu 19:26, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
