Introduction

Legio Romana -- founded August 14, 2006 -- is a mainly European - American, Luxon aligned guild. We are basically a PvX guild as we play what we like, whenever we like. We have a smooth website with a forum, democratic event voting, a fully upgraded Guild Hall, and heaps more! We have members from all corners of the world, Europe, North and South America, Oceania, and Africa.

We have many members that have completed all of the PvE parts of Guild Wars and many of the more elite mission, dungeons or hard mode portions of the campaigns. Title-hunting is a popular activity for some of our members. Many members have also participated in the PvP aspects of the game at all levels. There is little that we have not participated in, so we can help you master the Guild Wars game too.

General Information

So what is Legio Romana all about? We're a guild based upon the Roman theme, with two Caesars - based on the Eastern- and Western Roman Empire. Caesar Mar Eyskor runs the American half of the guild and manages guild and alliance events for the American continent. Caesar Aurelius Sancti runs the European half of the guild. Next we have a Senate with experienced-in-game Senators and of course the most important part, the Legionnaire - the backbone of Legio Romana.

Just as the people were the core of Rome in the ancient days, so is the brave legionnaire the foundation upon which Legio Romana was built. We value member input through the use of the Senate. This means faction farming or attending events isn't mandatory, although experience proves that the fun factor increases exponentially with the number of attendees. We provide help on your way in the game and want you to join in with guild or alliance hosted events or random occasions of fun.

We are also a realistic guild and understand that people simply can't be online every day for various reasons, be it school, work, family or all three at the same time! If this is the case, leaving a simple absence notification on the forum will exempt you from being wiped during an inactivity sweep! We believe inactivity sweeps are needed once in a while as nobody likes to look upon an inactive guild roster. We are currently doing this after approximately 2 months of inactivity. We do want to avoid leaving members out in the cold, therefore we set up a standing invitation for these members to rejoin.

Rome And Its Allies

Legio Romana is part of the Ravenz of Darkstone [RoD] alliance. Led by an American guild, Legio Romana tries to be a European counterpart within the alliance, thus trying to have at least some people online regardless of what hour of the day it is. Say for yourself, nobody likes to talk to themselves in guild or alliance chat, right? ;-)

We still have a few slots free in the alliance. We would prefer a few more European timezone guilds to counter the currently higher number of American timezone guilds. Please feel free to contact us if your guild wants to join our alliance.
