- Where the heck is this stupid pony?!
- When I find this pony, Joko's minions are the last thing it should be worried about.
- Defeat Palawa Joko's Elite Pony-Hunting Squad.
- See Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta for your reward.
Reward[edit]
- 2,000 Experience
- 1,000 Gold
- 50 Trick-or-Treat Bags
Walkthrough[edit]
Start from Venta Cemetery and exit to Turai's Procession. Follow the path to initiate dialogue by the Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta. After he tells you about the "peripheral pony particles" and his plan to capture Gum Drops, the Noble Steed, continue to the first marker on the map (on the right of this page). You'll encounter Awakened mobs on the path throughout this quest.
After attempting to catch Gum Drops for the first time, he will run away; at which point you should continue to the second marker. After reaching the second marker, Gum Drops will run away again. Proceed to the third marker on the map. When you reach him the third time, he will slip away yet again. Follow the path to reach the fourth marker on the map.
At the fourth marker, Gum Drops will run away again for the final time. Proceed in the direction of Gate of Desolation, and you will encounter Palawa Joko's Elite Pony-Hunting Squad, who have captured Gum Drops. After a little dialogue, the initially non-hostile Krastos and his group will turn hostile, and attack your party. When you kill his group, watch the dialogue between the Emissary and Gum Drops and the quest will update and be complete. Return to the Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta in Kamadan to complete the quest.

Dialogue[edit]
Initial dialogue[edit]
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta
- "Of all the worst possible things that could happen, this is... The. Worst. Possible. Thing! The rituals we've been doing to break the seals on King Thorn, they've broken the seals on the royal pony pen instead! Gum Drops, our lord's most mighty invisible steed, has broken into the mortal realm! If I don't find him and return him to our liege post-haste, my pumpkin head will be baked with cinnamon and nutmeg! Nutmeg! Can you...nay, you MUST help me locate this royal steed before it gets into trouble or worse, gets caught by that scoundrel Palawa Joko! If I know Gum Drops, he'll head straight through Turai's Procession on his way to the Bone Palace. King Thorn has specifically trained him to seek and destroy anything that smells like mummy."
Intermediate dialogue[edit]
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "At last, you're here! I was getting ripe just waiting for you. This Elonan [sic] sun is not doing my pumpkin head any favors."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Since only King Thorn can see Gum Drops, we'll need to rely on this sensor created by the maddest scientists of the Lunatic Court."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "It detects the level of "peripheral pony particles," or PON-3, in the air and gives us an approximation of the location of the eminent equine."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "I'll follow you and let you know if we are getting close. Hurry, we have to find Gum Drops before Palawa Joko finds out he's here."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Ah, well this was easy enough. Now we just have to..."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Oh drat, you scared him off. Could you try and be less...I don't know...dreadful? I mean really, that outfit would scare off just about anyone."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "So, here's the plan: I'll distract Gum Drops with some soothing words and then you put the harness on his neck."
- <Party leader>: "How will I know where the neck is?"
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "It's the part between the head and the body. Have you never seen a pony?"
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Alright, one more time. Don't worry, I'm actually pretty good with..."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "...animals."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "I've got a saying for situations like these: "When some pony tries to run, show them that you're fun.""
- <Party leader>: "Does the Mad King know that you make motivational rhymes when he's not around?"
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "No, but if he finds out, I'll know who to blame."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Come on Gum Drops, just come here. I'll let you nibble on my head a bit."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Confound this pony! It's driving me to insanity! Well I mean...more insane than I was before at least."
- <Party leader>: "Do we really need this pony detector? Can't we just look for hoofprints?"
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Don't you know anything about invisible equines? The hoofprints are also invisible!"
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "*gasp* That's it Gum Drops... *pant* You're going to... *wheeze* LOVE ME!"
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Or you're going to run away again, that's fine too."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Just in case we run into any Elonan [sic] ponies out here, I'm told that Gum Drops has a mark shaped like a pumpkin on his flank."
- <Party leader>: "Is the mark also invisible?"
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Of course it... Oh yes...right. Never mind."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Palawa Joko's Elite Pony-Hunting Squad. We're too late!"
- Krastos: "Indeed you are, fools! Now that we have the Mad King's invisible pony, the tables have turned in this little war."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "If you harm one invisible hair on that pony's head, I'll make you wish you had never been reanimated!"
- Krastos: "Was that supposed to be a threat? Ha! And here I thought your pumpkin face was the only funny thing about you."
- Krastos: "Come on, mummies. I think it's time we added a loudmouthed emissary to our hostage list!"
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Looks like we got the last laugh there!"
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Alright, Gum Drops, are you going to listen to me now and come back like a good pony?"
- Gum Drops, the Noble Steed: "..."
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "*sigh* MISTER Gum Drops."
- Gum Drops, the Noble Steed: "!!!"
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta: "Looks like he's finally willing to listen. I'll escort him back to the Mad Realm now. Meet me back in Kamadan later so I can thank you properly."
Reward dialogue[edit]
- Emissary of King Thorn of Kryta
- "Well, that was close. If Joko had gotten his decaying hands on Gum Drops, he'd have turned him into invisible glue! However, I suppose that accidentally releasing Gum Drops wasn't entirely bad. I mean, I'm no mathemagician, but if the rituals we were performing set the pony free, they are definitely having an effect on the boundaries between our worlds. Clearly, we need to double the ingredients in the rituals. Or maybe double the number of worshipers. It's got to be one of those. Here, just take your reward and enjoy the festivities; I've got doubling of some sort to do."
Notes[edit]
- The undead spawned by this quest use their Scarred Psyche builds instead of their regular Nightfall/The Desolation builds.
- The PON-3 Detector is tied to the Emissary's location. If he gets stuck on eg. a resurrection shrine, the meter doesn't progress even if the rest of your party goes and stands next to Gum Drops.
Trivia[edit]
- The quest name and much of its dialogue are references to the television show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and its fanbase.

Thing!", "I'll catch that pony in ten seconds flat!", "You're going to... *wheeze* LOVE ME!", "When some pony tries to run, show them that you're fun.", and "If you harm one invisible hair on that pony's head, I'll make you wish you had never been reanimated!" are paraphrased versions of popular quotes from the show.
- "I'm told that Gum Drops has a mark shaped like a pumpkin on his flank" is a reference to a pony's cutie mark on its flank that signifies its special talent.
- (DJ) "PON-3" is the name of a popular minor character in the show.
- "Confound this pony! It's driving me to insanity!" refers to "Confound these ponies, they drive me to drink!", a phrase commonly used by the fanbase to describe the process of becoming a fan of the show.
