Regular Item[edit]
So are these just for the Canthan New Year or will they become a regular item? Wynterarwynrose 11:55, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- I think it's safe to expect these at all future Canthan New Year festivals. -- Dashface 07:31, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
Upcoming Celestial Miniatures[edit]
At least we know now how the Miniatures are going to look like for the years to come . -- Arduin 12:14, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- well since they follow the what is it Chinese new year animal calendar thing we already did know...and in what orderAurenX 18:23, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yet we didn't have the actual models of the Celestials, thus miniatures.. -- Arduin 05:39, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
New?[edit]
For what I'm concerned, they're going to add and release new animals to GW, since GW hasn't introduced: Horses, Sheeps, Snakes, nor Dogs. Will they be left as Celestial appearnce, or will ANet introduce the new animals to GW? Haunted Shadow 13:17, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hehh I like the thought of Anet introducing some additional random critters appearing throughout the game, but I doubt that will happen. --Adul 13:36, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- Sheep is confirmed to use the Dolyak model, and I imagine the Dog will look more like a wolf. Can't think of anything that approximates the other two, though. 68.118.250.100 14:17, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

- There are indeed some new models. Adaptations of the Krait and Kirin. -- Arduin 14:31, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

It would require a tex mod to confirm, but I'm quite certain those aren't "new models", but rather they're the same "old models" with certain extraneous parts merely assigned the good old alpha channel texture. Would make far more sense, particularly considering the hippo incidentand the GWEN armor releases. BattleSage 14:50, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Let me be the first to make a celestial cock joke. Sorry. -Ninjatek 15:13, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
I thought[edit]
that this was going to have unlimited uses. I won't bother then. --smøni 19:47, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- Tbh, just save them for like 3-6 months and then sell them for 1k/ea when everyone else is out. They don't have much other use seeing as the builds are mostly terrible and summoning stones are a joke when PvE is so easy. Karate Jesus 20:50, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm. I never use the 200+ stones I've already got. --smøni 18:44, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
This is cool[edit]
But then we already knew anet wouldn't care about this game long enough to keep the last interesting bit of CNY novelty alive. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 23:40, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Best/Worst Celestial builds[edit]
What is your best and worst of the builds used by these celestials? 121.7.31.181 16:51, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
- ox and rat are win, also dog as a tank. others fail--88.24.12.200 16:59, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
- Actually the dragon is far from fail. (Ixillius 15:37, 24 February 2010 (UTC))
Fleshiness[edit]
I'm in Shards of Orr and I'm noticing my Celestial Dog (summon) isn't getting poisoned by Poison Jets. Perhaps none of these summonables are Fleshy? Manifold 19:59, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
- That seems like it would make sense. ThrainFile:User Thrain Sig.pngcontribs 19:59, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
- The rat does not inflict itself conditions (Signet of Agony, Poisoned Heart), but though all summons are affected by the condition-NPCs at the Isle of the nameless. Do those NPCs have a kind of special ability to ignore fleshiness? --aRTy 20:33, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Single Use only[edit]
It has been brought to my attention through these particular Summoning Stones being offered on GW Auctions that they, unlike other Summoning Stones are not everlasting and only have single use marked with the first line reading "Uses remaining: 1". This factor is, of course critical to use as well as price. I have updated the Wiki in-game description to reflect this different feature. Bearz 13:13, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Different? Actually the Igneous Summoning Stone is the very only "Everlasting Summoning Stone", and this one is also an exception regarding usage since level 20 characters are unable to activate it. (It is also shown in the infobox to the right, so you hopefully don't mind if i remove that first line of the ingame-description again - but thanks though for your mindfulness :) ) —ZerphaThe Improver 13:18, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- No problem. Wanted to make sure that it wasn't overlooked but now I see that it is in the Infobox - that's fine! Bearz 13:29, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Is there a Summoning order?[edit]
I was vanquishing tonight, and decided to try out the stone. After a couple afk moments from my team, we ended up using three stone between us. Dog, pig, and rat, in that order. This is the same order as the yearly rotation. It was different people doing the summoning. Coincidence?--Pyron Sy 02:42, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- I think so. This isn't enough data to call it a pattern. Get a pattern like that a few more times and I will raise my eyebrow. Rose Of Kali 11:46, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
I'll run a few more tests and see how it turns out. It would be very interesting if that was the case.--Pyron Sy 12:14, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- I got a Monkey, and then an Ox. Manifold 19:49, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- Well, there goes that theory. :P (Was it in the same zone used by the same person after the sickness wore off?) Rose Of Kali 20:46, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yep. Manifold 16:44, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Chinese Horoscope[edit]
Aren't the summons all Chinese horoscope signs (and thus worth mentioning in the article)? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_astrology#Chinese_zodiac Zahra 12:10, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- Canthan New Year already mentions it. Rose Of Kali 18:03, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
One-stop-shopping page[edit]
- → moved from Talk:Angchu Tengu Ally#One-stop-shopping page
Should the Celestial summoning stone's respective summoned creatures be merged unto their respective pages; similar to the Angchu Tengu Ally/Imperial Guard Ally/Shining Blade Ally page-layouts? --Falconeye 23:21, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
