It's not small for a real sword, actually. I kind of like the realistic ones. Any sword over about 5 lbs. is just too heavy to wield effectively with one hand. Not too hard to hold, of course, but to swing it around and maneuver it one-handed (as in Guild Wars), five pounds is about the limit. I'd hate to see what a fellblade would weigh, though it's definitely pretty. But you're right in that people who haven't held a real sword and tried to use it would think, "Dude, that sword is beastly! I want my warrior to have a weapon that huge, it's wicked cool." Or, converseley, "Dude, that sword is tiny! Only a big wussy or lesser wimp would use something like that." You people are kidding, right? This sword is HUGE. It may not be as wide, but it's easily longer than a fellblade. Indeed--other than perhaps the Runic Blade--it is the longest sword I have seen in the game! I'm using it caster-modded on my monk, and it's as long as she is tall; when she swings it during the cast animation for some spells, the tip drops through the ground. Origin of Appearance

I can just see a slight resemblance in the horn-shaped cross guard. In all other aspects I think the Emerald Blade looks different. Note that the horn points in the cross guard of the sword on the website point towards the hilt, making it impossible to grip and wield such a sword, while the cross guard's points of the Emerald Blade point towards the blade. Changing Appearance Based on Location

The note stating that this weapon "changes appearance based on location" is fairly erroneous and only half true. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10263252&page=51 This weapon, like ALL weapons and ALL armors changes appearance depending on the ambient lighting in that area. This is no different from the changes of appearance of any item. Look at how the armor in those pictures showing "different colored" emerald blade ALSO changes colors slightly. I suggest we remove that note. Although people may want to see multiple screenshots just because it is a new item, it does not justify this note. This note implies that this item is different from other preexisting items. - TK Hawkins

Rephrasing and Resizing

• Limiting the concept art here to 64 px makes it too small to see the artwork, and none of the other winners were limited thus, so I bumped it up to show more detail.
• Rephrased and repositioned the comment about the coloring to make the page easier to read.

the movie The Forgotten Kingdom has a merc that wields a sword with emerald runes on it... looks a lot like this one
