This skill is ok. Raptaz 13:54, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

does this skill count itself as a fully charged? 21:09, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
"[snip] for each other fully charged [snip]", most likely not. ;) — Galil Talk page 21:15, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

I like this skill, I use it on Koss or Goren and then disable a few low cost adrenal skills. With FGJ this can be spammed every single hit for pretty sweet dps Coruskane 13:17, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, pretty nice skill, but +40 dmg can be topped off with power attack (only setback is it needs 5 nrg not 4 low-cost adrenals. Ninjas In The Sky 14:50, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, topped off with strength 15 (!) and not Hammer Mastery 12... and the only setback is most disturbing. You can spam this while you can't do so with Power Attack and if you put in a well-known cry for justice or mark your foe with fury this is gonna be weird, with Flail (which feeds it by the way) even more. I'd say this is best (and Devastating Hammer, too) under the Hammer Elites. Noctarch 23:05, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Ok... I dont normally flame about skill changes... but I am about this one... REVERT!!!! this is such of nerf of what it once was... doing +40 damage with every attack for 30 seconds is WAY better then this peice of crap change... REVERT!!! SabreWolf 04:17, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

That's it, I'm running an A/W with this, Bull's Strike, Caltrops, run buff, protector's strike, and hammer bash. KD every 4 seconds if you move and KD every 4 seconds if you don't.

For you PvP people, great skill change... for PvE people... not so much... so I am half right -- SabreWolf 06:32, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

No one really uses Hammers in PvE, unless they run some crazy build that doesn't involve this skill. =) Biz 09:03, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Earth Shaker says hi. 04:00, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

well i am a somebody... that that somebody used to run Enraged Smash with FGJ and 3 other Adr skills... which the old Enradged Smash would do +40 dmg with every hit i made, causeing over 100 dmg with every hit from the hammer, with an increased DPS... so ya, that was somthing... infact... they nerfed/changed both low adr repeatable skills Whirling Axe... so there was a theme here... interesting build above this post btw -- SabreWolf 14:05, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Dragon Slash did that too, only faster, took up one slot, and gives you shield access. Earth Shaker with Crude Swing and Whirlwind was really the only reason to use a hammer in PvE for chain AoE KDs. Racthoh 22:08, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Dragon slash was elite. However, I think dragon slash with the endless rage build was better for PvE. StatMan 22:40, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Enraged Smash is elite, too >.>" -- 10:44, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Use it with SY! maybe? 22:21, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Sadly, the introduction of Brawling Headbutt rendered all hammer warriors in PvE redundant. Brawlin' 'butt gives you all the advantage of a hammer warrior elite while still allowing you to cause an axe spike with deep wound or abuse Dragon Slash with FGJ, and still carry a shield. The fuck. Did Anet become mental? This is Bulls Strike + Mokele Strike + random overpowered damaging skill. And that with 5 recharge. I herd Anet lieks powar creep indeed. Dark Morphon(contribs) 17:15, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Yes, cuz buffing both the skill and the counter isn't power creep.Crimmastermind 23:01, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Exactly, Crimmastermind. Glad to see you understand the situation. 07:19, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Well, at least the 40 damage is conditional. xD -- Halogod35 TALK TO ME NAO plz. :D 07:38, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
The old version was better. Using this with some mindless adrenal skills and for great justice was fun. When I didn't feel like taking the effort play warrior properly in PvE, it was easy to just spam this over and over. Now it's a ridiculously overpowered skill that actually requires conscious thought processes to use. I hope they revert it. Not often used != bad. --Jette 15:42, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Thumpers with Tiger's Fury supported by Paras with the new Incoming and/or It's Just a Flesh Wound. Hell with this many KD's they won't even need an IAS. 16:31, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Then just don't move when they hit you. Especially if they will catch up with you if you move anyway. Or use Ward of Stability. It's not rocket science. 10:12, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
"Don't move when they hit you" was always a great counter to Bull's/Prot Strike. Vili User talk:Vili 10:15, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Why do I have the funny feeling some of the IPs that are showing up everywhere and praising the new update are run by ANet employees? I won't say they actually are, but coincidences are usually rare. -- 10:34, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Related Skills[edit]

Wouldn't Mokele Smash be a related skill, costs energy, gain adrenaline on hit. I don't know how to add i'm a newb at wiki 10:18, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

i added it in there, but it prob get taken out for not KD'ing, but we'll see...--—Daɽkɘʃʂ ӍcÇɧɽiʂtmaʂmonǥɘɼ. 14:36, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

D slash probably also is related, since it gives adrenaline and it does +damage. Only differences are that d slash costs adren, it's a sword attack, and it doesn't kd.

No, that is way too far different. Mokele is ONLY missing the KD. ~~ User:Frvwfr2 frvwfr2 (talk · contributions) 23:14, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

People are going to be using this for the Bull's Strike like effect. The +damage and adrenaline are icing on the cake. Am for removing Mokele's from related. 21:13, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
But what if they're looking at this skill and thinking about a hammer adrenaline machine? They might then want to look at moleke. --JonTheMon 21:27, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

nothing really, for a skill to be realted, it has to 1, KD while moving, or 2, be a hammer skill that gives you adren...everything else is pretty much not related. --—Daɽkɘʃʂ ӍcÇɧɽiʂtmaʂmonǥɘɼ Christmas Sucks 20:12, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

This Seems Like Fun[edit]

Pair off with a ranger packing Quickening Zephyr. Build to 6 adrenaline then chain Hammer Bash, This to recover your adrenaline, Auspicious Blow to gain back the energy cost of Enraged Smash. I am not a hammer expert, but with the Stonefist Insignia, your target should be at least getting up at this point, and Hammer Bash is recharged, adrenal-wise, and with a 2.5 second recharge thanks to QZ, Enraged Smash is ready to cycle as well. Guildwarsrunner 06:03, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Not to mention, there are tons of skills which can be cycled with QZ, not that much of a combo...imo this skill is better used with Staggering Blow in order to get Heavy Blow ready for use when you build back adrenaline using this elite. User:The Lolslayer
