Heroes should be able to use them....Bive (talk · contributions)

Should be Heroes?
I agree with the fact there should be 3 Heroes per prof, some of the Henchmen in Factions and Proph should become heroes in an update, and they're henchy's replaced with somone else...like Nika as an Assassin, or Mhenlo, Evennia. Zachariah Zuan 14:57, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- In my opinion, the only NPCs that currently exists that should become a hero need to be NPCs that are not storyline NPCs *it'll throw the lore out of place* or Henchmen *unless they are removed from being a henchman*. A Paragon Hero I'd like to see would be The Lost. He it only in one quest chain in the Realm of Torment, and afterwards we hear nothing of him *and his team*. Anet could easily add in a short quest where the Forgotten no longer trust him and order him to follow the player. There are also the idea of new NPCs being made heroes, as well. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 22:26, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
- I'd love to have a Margonite hero, but I'd rather have the Apostate. I rarely use Paragon heroes (because in PvE they can't run the only good build and in PvP I do not use paragons because I am not a faggot), but find uses for monk ones all the time. Not to mention that even when I do use a paragon, I use Morgahn because Morgan Freeman = win. --Jette 22:38, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
- The problem with the Apostate, is that he's a monk. People, of the majority who voice their opinion on this, are wanting 3 of each kind. In other words, 4 more heroes - 1 Paragon, 1 Assassin, 1 Ritualist, 1 Mesmer. And I disagree that Paragon heroes are useless, I use Morgahn almost all the time (in my usual hero set up, it's Tahlkora, Morgahn, and Olias, with Pyre sometimes replacing Morgahn and Razah sometimes replaces Olias). Also, maybe people have stated that they want a Paragon Margonite as a hero *or just want their wings* (again, it is many of those who have stated anything). -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 23:05, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Hero exp bars and level-ups.
There really needs to be a way to view your exp bar for your heroes. Not knowing how close they are to the next level is kind of annoying. Also, there needs to be a message printed when a hero levels up. All I have to rely on are the visuals, since I play with the sound off (music). And even then, they're kind of hard to see, since I'm a bit preoccupied with the fight and all. Plus there's a lot of explosions in the battle that look like the glow when you level up. Linking to PvX
What's the policy on linking to PvX for good/great builds - in this case, for heroes (http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Great_working_hero_builds)? I think such a link would be both relevant and helpful. Threid 01:30, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

What's the point of unlocking them in PvP?
Seriously. Can't use them in GvG, HA, and now HB is gone. So, I'd like it if they'd just remove the whole panel from the Priests of Balthazar, else some people will be rather sore about their lost faction for no purpose. Either re-add HB, or get rid of this, or remake HB in a format that can't be so easily exploited (3 v 3 with each player commanding 4 heros without any participation in the actual battle? Hmm?). 75.181.168.70 00:58, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
- A PvP player might like to have heroes immediately available to make a campaign loleasy instead of grinding through it like a normal player. Vili 点 01:00, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
- Zaishen Challenge and Zaishen Elite? Not really PvP, but still in the battle isles and usable by pvp characters. Cress Arvein 01:01, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
- That's not how heroes work Vili. Cress brings up a good point, so I guess the (somewhat less) worthless tab is there to stay. 75.181.168.70 04:48, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- Oh. Then they are pointless after all. Vili 点 04:52, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- Scratch that, they're absolutely worthless now for unlocking. Gg Anet. 75.181.168.70 08:05, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

- Storage. 5 insignias, 5 runes, one weapon and an off-hand. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 09:19, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Plz don't remove access to PVP char heroes!
Although most use is lost know since you can't use them in gvg or ha anymore, don't remove them completly or deny access to them. I'm one of those players that use there weapon slots as extra storage room for weapons and offhands, tx. S_Serpent (talk) 11:00, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
- You only get two extra slots per hero... are you really that strapped for space? -- Hong 04:41, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- It would be relevant if he has stuff on the heroes already. This is the incorrect space for ANet suggestions, however. –Jette 07:24, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
I don't get it
What is the point of completely removing heroes in PvP? I do agree they have advantages such as never missing interupts, but apart from that.. they're useless. They run like idiots in aoe spells and their positioning in the field is generally just not as good as a real player is. Either add heroes back to HA/GvG or make HA back to 6 players plz cuz its impossible to pug 8 players at dead hours, and henchies suck dick. 218.188.39.33 04:34, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- My guess - Prophecies and Factions characters can't have heroes? But don't ask me why they were removed, not complemented by henchmen. —Faalagorn☎/✓ 00:44, 14 November 2009 (UTC).
- Heroes were removed because it is PvP, not PvE. PvP = Player team vs Player team. The reason it's hard to get a group of people is because PvP has eroded away to a memory of it's former self, not because heroes were removed. They were also removed because they are too effective at chaining hexes, maintaining things (TF), removing conditions, interrupting, etc. -- Tha Reckoning File:User Tha Reckoning Sig2.jpg 00:49, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
Dont really care what the heros where too good at people where always better, the way i see it me and alot of people I know that quit this game no longer play it just because heros can no longer be used in GvG. Most of my friends quit this game and i have had some 30-40 top 300 guilds that have only worked out because heros had access to GvG. I dont see any real reason for removing them. This was something i would refer to as a mistake and I played GW from proph till they removed heros from GvG. I put over 12k hours into this game and I would still be playing it if Heros where still around. Why I though it was okay before the heros came out to play this game... Simple because much more people where playing it and it was much easier to get things done.
- If your gvg team relied on heroes that much, they weren't that good anyway. Nobody plays GW anyway, and it's not because they removed heroes. The moral of the story is nobody cares, essentially. -- Tha Reckoning 23:31, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- in respect to henchmen, the healer hench is often better than a real player, and at any point of the day going to HA international ditrict there is always people looking for parties, if you cant find one maybe you should think wether its cause you QQ to much, this is after all a game, heros or no heros in pvp (player vs player)the game will carry on as it always hasSpark-TBa 11:25, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
3rd Mesmer?
So, 3 of every core profession, 2 of every campaign specific profession, except the mesmer. Did somebody over at anet miscount? deltaalphanova 23:19, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- Derv! Kyubiko 17:13, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
"2 of every campaign specific profession" 3 dervishes Melonni, Kahmu and M.O.X., though MOX is conditional, but most people have all games now though :p --78.150.19.93 02:25, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
