So...[edit]

so...kahmu is an enemy of the Norn or what? :s

He's renowned because the Norn value prowess in combat. Honestly, man, read up on some of these things. Kstarfire 18:17, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

A Hero Mitchel 15:09, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Or maybe An Hero. =P Calvin 04:11, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
No, no no, 4chan memes are too messy for guildwars, especially this one. --Ckal Ktak 13:30, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Rules 1 and 2... Come on guys. And that's now how you use 'An Hero'. User Tr33zon Signature.jpg Tr33zon (Talk - Contribs) 23:08, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Kahmu isn't An Hero, but Prince Rurik, King Jalis Ironhammer, Kilroy Stonekin and Dehjah are, as are Brother Mhenlo and Master Togo in some missions. -- Gordon Ecker 23:40, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Wrong. An Hero is killing YOURSELF. User Tr33zon Signature.jpg Tr33zon (Talk - Contribs) 23:27, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
If it counts as suicide in Ankh Morpork, I don't see why it shouldn't count in Tyria. -- Gordon Ecker 05:13, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Skills[edit]

Are those skills the ones he's using in the norn fighting tournament or when you get him as a hero? Are they the same in both cases? Chriskang 11:52, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

His hero skills, I've put his tournament skills on the Norn Fighting Tournament's talk page. -- Gordon Ecker 12:30, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

They're the ones he has when he is unlocked as a hero because he uses Avatar of Balthazar in the tournament. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Guillotine X V .

Skills for non-NF-owners[edit]

It should be noted that if you don't own a copy of the Nightfall campaign, you cannot access Nightfall-skills. Kahmu comes with a set of those. You may equip him with his skills, but you cannot command him to use a specific one. You can command him not to use it, and of course you can get the ten Derwish skills avaible in GW:EN. The rest is up to secondary class or buying NF.

Slightly disappointed of that mighty dancing one, 85.178.220.204 11:08, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Hoodless[edit]

Although there are other heroes who have hidden headpieces, I wonder if there's a reason in Kahmu's case. He's a fierce fighter who's bested opponents across all the continents--perhaps he's arrogant enough to think that he can forego the traditional symbol of respect and humility. 404notfound 08:14, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Always better when your opponents do the respecting and humility for you, I suppose... --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Ĵĩôřũĵĩ Đēŗāķō.>.cнаt^ 09:02, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Melonni doesn't have a head-piece either. Does that mean that she doesn't respect the Gods of Tyria as well? Wheres the reference? 99.245.143.39 01:00, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Hmmm good point. Forgot about Melonni not having any headgear at all. Oh well, yet another example of miscommunication between various teams in Anet. If you're asking for the reference on the reason behind the headgear, I remember reading it in either the manual or a maybe in one of the magazines. Can't remember. -- ab.er.rant sig 01:11, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
It's a tradition, maybe they're just not traditional. -- Gordon Ecker 01:21, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Sort of like a religious thing, I would expect. Some people in real life are more religious then others; why wouldn't it be the same in-game?
Another thing; Kahmu's not in Elona anymore. Melonni, she's one of the only dervishes on Istan. Perhaps it's a more prominent tradition on the mainland. --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 21:16, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Lol... Yea because all the noob dervishes definitely know how to hide their headgear... /sarcasmoff --63.226.231.41 17:06, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

I wear the hood because a. my hair is guly and b. dervish robes look shitty without the hood and shoulder thingies. 68.50.167.100 18:04, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Zasalamel[edit]

Kahmu kinda shares physical similarities with this guy from Soul Caliber 4, does he not? Firoas. talk 22:52, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Fixed your link. Hm... I'd say the biggest difference is the presence of pants on Zasalamel. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 15:41, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

If he were white would you be making that reference?--75.94.77.148 09:18, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

I would say yes, not because of appearance is there a similarity, but because of some of Kahmu's quotes are very similar to Zasalamel's - if not the same (haven't looked at Zasalamel's quotes in a while). I think, that because of skin, hair, and quotes, it's point blank that Kahmu is a reference to Zasalamel, unless Zasalamel is a references to something else in those same (and possibly more) aspects. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 00:29, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

I would say that GW's idea of a dervish and Zasalamel both come from the same general idea: The grim reaper. But both Kahmu's and Gehraz' quotes seem rather Zasalamel-ish to me... Except for the whole "wind"-theme about Gehraz, which would rather fit Talim... SPOILER! Gehraz is the son of Zasalamel and Talim! :P Paddymew 06:16, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Help![edit]

i'm having trouble obtainin khamu, i am a fire oriented ele and i've got alot of necro skillz. does anybod know of a decent build from those to help me beat him?

the only way i actually beat kahmu was using that ursan bear blessing. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Naufrageur (talk • contribs) at 03:30, 5 February 2009 (UTC).

I can't even manage that. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.193.143.94 (talk • contribs) at 09:11, 16 February 2009 (UTC).
Kite him around using "You Move Like a Dwarf!", cast parasite when his avatar is off, turn ursan on and pound him to death. Paddymew 06:17, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Trivia...[edit]

Tell Grenth that Kahmu sent you is, in my mind, a play on the famous Zorro quote "Tell the devil I sent you"…should this be added? Taka Ragranok 07:55, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Or maybe it's from the episode of The Simpsons when they go to Itchy & Scratchy Land. The robots go haywire, and the guy in the mouse costume says (as his helicopter takes off), "When you get to Hell, tell them Itchy sent you!"

That is to say, there are many possible references here. Sometimes I think the developers choose these so that anyone will be able to recognize it from somewhere. Or maybe not, I don't know. --RoyHarmon 03:16, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

"Sometimes, when the air is just right, I can almost smell the markets of Vabbi."[edit]

Got this one while in the sewers of Kaineng City. Har har. -- Hong 12:48, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Unlock instructions[edit]

I hated how the previous instructions were worded, so I rewrote it. Undo etc. as necessary, but I think the change I made is fine. 24.13.211.110 06:11, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
