Talk:Pyre Fierceshot
looks similar to the charr that screams in the game play trailer(I think it was that trailer 68.104.205.160 03:05, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- You mean the official trailer, and that's because it is him. He's also the one who shot that Charr in the neck while Gwen was narrating about "unlikely and unpredictable allies." Capcom 17:55, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- He rocks my socks! I love Pyre, can't wait to have him in my party! But the other Charr are still evil. Dancing Gnome 20:27, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
He used Concussion Shot on the other Charr. That reminded me of Hot Fuzz when Simon Skinner gets the spike though his mouth. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Guillotine X V .
Son of vatlaaw doomtooth :/[edit]
so we killed this guy in pre searing...think we gonna have trouble :p--81.240.154.111 14:45, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
- Wait, what!? That's awesome! It's story points like that that make me giddy when it comes to GW. I had the same reaction when I found out Warmaster Tydus was in the Norn Fighting Tournament. --Valentein 20:33, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
- I take it that Doomtooth and Fierceshot are titles of honor and not traditional family/clan names. --Sinharath 08:09, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, that seems to be the case with most Charr. --Santax (talk · contribs) 08:36, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Pyre could have changed his surname if that's what they are. He hates the fanatical Charr who worshiped the Titans and invaded Ascalon. I doubt he'd want to keep his father's surname. Capcom 07:27, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, that seems to be the case with most Charr. --Santax (talk · contribs) 08:36, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

- Let's just hope he's smarter than his father. Barrage + Ignite Arrows anyone? --Curse You 06:28, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Speaking of which, they better reference ol' Vatlaaw when you meet him. Maybe have the party leader go, "Oh, Vatlaaw Doomtooth? Oh yeah I remember that guy. Didn't we totally kick his a-" "WHAT?!" "RURIK DID IT!" File:Esig2.jpg Eldin 20:58, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Charr are brought up away from their parents, Vatlaaw was Pyre's father. lol
ah, if he is the son of that guy, may be we shud bring him on a tour to ascalon cities and see what will the NPC guys say when they meet this charr (especially tydus) lolz.
- Where exactly does it state that he's Doomtooth's son? [Z.] 11:31 a.m. August 28, 2007
- I seem to remember killing his daddy pre-searing..
Sounds like...[edit]
Teal'c, from Stargate: SG1. - 12.218.12.61 20:59, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yep. -- Gordon Ecker 04:03, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
and you unlock him how?[edit]
Kinda missed the mention of unlocking him in the article.--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:76.184.241.144 .

- As Drago said, please sign your comments on talk pages in the future by adding ~~~~ to the end. Registering is always nice, but by no means required. As for your question, he's unlocked during one of the Ebon Vanguard missions/primary quests... I don't remember which one, but I think it's the one you rescue his warband. - Tanetris 21:06, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Notes/Trivia[edit]
I see that they there were combined but really some of the Notes are infact trivia. I think they should be seperated but I want to here what people think.
- example of Notes - A duplicate Pyre Fierceshot will show up as "Charr Ranger".
- example of Trivia -"You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I get and beat you with until you understand who is in command!" can be directly attributed to the character Jayne from the Firefly TV Series. Other references to Jayne include the boss Jayne Forestlight and the hammer Vera dropped by the aforementioned boss. Ifive 17:18, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- The note you used as an example was the only one that can be clearly defined as one. The other three could also be trivia :/ —ZerphaThe Improver 23:04, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Wouldn't be surprised if he's the mascot for any of those Osteoperosis awareness campaigns. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.156.14.74 (talk • contribs) at 08:11, 27 July 2008 (UTC) (UTC).
Trivia and Reference[edit]
"Other references to Jayne include the boss Jayne Forestlight and the hammer Vera dropped by the aforementioned boss." Well, this can be mentioned, but it shouldn't be directly mentioned in the article, right? —ZerphaThe Improver 22:56, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Rabbit[edit]
Did anyone notice some special dialogue if you take him to the "Rabbit Pit"? One of his quotes says something abaut RABBITS. —ZerphaThe Improver 23:00, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Voice actor playing him?[edit]
I have a slight hint of the voice actor playing him. On www.imdb.com, it says Steven Jay Blum is the voice actor of Justiciar Hablion (The White Mantle foe we slayed on the Bloodstone mission in Prophecies). Pyre and Hablion share the exact same voice when I listen to them. Anyone agree Blum is the voice of Pyre Fierceshot? 165.21.154.15 07:17, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
GW's Thrall?[edit]
Is it me or is this a setup to GW's 2 and he will be sort of a Thrall for the Charr Race when you can play them in GW's 2? I mean the similarities are just amazing about how much this guy and Thrall of Warcraft have in common. well, what are ya'lls thoughts about this? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Morcelu .
- A thrall is a slave in my books, what's your definition? :s — Skuld 03:28, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- I think he's referring to Thrall the orc of Warcraft. But I don't see much similarity between those two characters at all. -- ab.er.rant 14:16, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- They're both leading their brutal battle-hungry race in rebellion against the demon-worshiping priests that led their people to destruction. That's about the whole of the similarity though. - HeWhoIsPale 14:19, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Birthright![edit]

Charr Hide[edit]
It would be a nice joke if he would react to a player wearing a Warrior Charr Hide armor in some manner. Maybe something like "I see you like charrs so much you carry them always with you" :-)--Serina 14:40, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Given his temperament, he'll more likely say "How would you like me wearing your hide..." -- ab.er.rant 05:05, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ok this is even better^^ --Serina 12:07, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
vs Charr[edit]
If this hero fights in PvP areas, do charrslayer or +10 against charr shields work? I don't think so since disease already spreads (and so he's counted as human) -- Karasu (talk) 23:10, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
Weapon Clipping[edit]
For the fun of it, I tried slapping some different weapons on Pyre to see how they held on his body, and I found that daggers clip really badly with his hands, namely the Brass Knuckles I was using on him. Although it was quite silly to see him running around bare-knuckle boxing everyone, even with the slicing sounds. Other weapons that did not fit well were scythes and staffs I tried, which both appeared dwarfed on him. Vekk's weapons scale to him, but some of Pyre's do not appear to do so. On the other hand, his own default bow is enormous, and a Felblade looked quite imposing on him. I wonder how he looks as a bunny thumper. 156.34.46.115 17:34, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, he holds Bows quite high, well above the grip on most bows. He looks ok holding his own bow and Shadow Bows, I have not tested many others though. If the bow is quite large and simple, he will hold them properly. Otherwise, he holds them 1/3rd of the way from the top. FleshAndFaith 20:10, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
Glitch[edit]
Pyre died on the way to doomlore shrine. When i killed the group near him he rezzed as an ally and started attacking me. Any1 else experienceing this?--3608 22:31, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- Probably a bug if he attacks you ;S Reaper of Scythes Talk 22:42, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
Battle Quote With Gwen[edit]
When Gwen is fighting alongside Pyre, he says, "Sure, Mouse. You can have your homeland back when your people learn to eat ash and sleep in fire!" I don't know how we should format this with his other quotes, but it makes sense that certain dialogues appear when two heroes are together that should have it. PowerGamer 21:26, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
- Disregard, I found it on the page. He's speaking to the main character, as well. -5 to proofreading. PowerGamer 21:28, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
