Eleites?[edit]

Normel monsters on shing Jea are now using elietes i am 100% sure it was never like that. confermation if this was a mistake and that the programing from hard mode transfered to easy mode? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:66.225.141.109 .

They've always been using elites. -- ab.er.rant sig 21:59, 21 April 2007 (EDT)
On Shing Jea, normal mode? I don't think I've ever seen them use elites in a lifetime, except for a few bosses, I think. when did this happen? I'll have to check it out.... --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:70.88.161.146 (talk).

Prophocies[edit]

I have a proph. character in Cantha now and I want to get her to Shing Jea Island b4 the Canthan New Year, but I am not sure how. Could anyone help me with this? Where do I need to go, is ther a quest? --Shadowphoenix 23:51, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Kaineng -> Bukdek Byway -> The Marketplace -> Kaineng Docks -> talk to First Mate Xiang -> Seitung Harbor -> Saoshang Trail -> Shing Jea, no quests needed --User rayd sig.pngRayd 00:00, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks --Shadowphoenix 00:03, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
It also tells you in the 2nd paragraph of the article. It used to be more obviously placed, but it's better this way apparently. :p Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 16:18, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Don't let me stop you from adding the subheading back. I just find it highly inappropriate; and if someone starts adding a "getting there" to all the other region articles? Kinda redundant and difficult to keep spoiler-free for some. I also strongly feel it's just an issue of people not wanting to bother with searching. Shing Jea Monastery#Getting there and Seitung Harbor#Getting there clearly tells the how-to. -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 08:41, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
I'll leave it. I guess with such a large user-base, it's a choice between expecting people to search, and having them ask questions. My guess is they probably answer their own questions before anyone replies half the time anyway. :) Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 09:22, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Screenshot[edit]

Is it me, or is the screenshot used in the region infobox actually a screenshot taken in the Isle of Meditation? -TalkWhy? 20:43, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Good point. That is the Isle of Meditation. But then, it's themed on Shing Jea Island, so it gets the message accross. ;) Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 10:45, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Map %[edit]

Any idea how much cartography completion a character should have by the time they leave Shing Jea? Seems like a good note. (See Istan#Notes) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 96.230.125.253 (talk).

Other users have added percentage completion to explorable areas. Just add them all them, if they're available. -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 00:07, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Complete exploration of Shing Jea Island should see you at roughly 23% of the Cantha exploration title track. Thats not exact, but its quite close. Puk 13:11, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

The Map[edit]

Turn it 90 decreases left and it looks little like British isles. 85.131.56.200 12:03, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

No cornwall or Ireland though... Oh, and the continent is in the wrong place..--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 04:10, 16 November 2011 (UTC)

How do I reach the islands?[edit]

How do I get to the small islands to the south-southeast of Tsumei Village and to the south-southeast of Zen Daijun? File:Shing Jea Island map clean.jpg makes them look like someone has explored them. - Brian Kendig 15:17, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

I believe that is Shing Jea Arena (outpost) for level 1-10 characters... MrPaladin talk 15:23, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
However, you can get there at any level.just cant enter at levels 11 ^ --Neil2250 , Render Lord User Neil2250 sig icon6.png 15:53, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! - Brian Kendig 16:50, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Trivial[edit]

I suspect that Shing Jea comes from the chinese name of, "Singapore", which is a tiny island nation in the Pacific. Singapore's name in Chinese is "Xin1 Jia1 Po1" (in PinYin) which sounds like Shing Jea Po. Discuss. DarkSpirit 14:38, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

Could be they made the meaning of the name first (Shining Jewel Island) and simply did some alterations form there: Shining=Shing (remove the in); Jewel=Jea (replace wel with a). Konig/talk 22:39, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
