Why...[edit]

haven't I tried kneeling at the statue? Seems the obvious thing to have done, yet I've never bothered. Time to put my desert wellies on, methinks... User Fox.jpg Fox (talk|contribs) 07:27, 18 April 2007 (EDT)

O_o why have I never seen this? Currently on 98.2% exploration - maybe there's another .1% right there! --SnogratUser Snograt signature.png 18:54, 22 April 2007 (EDT)
Wow, there's actually a statue of Glint in the desert? I wonder what the old lady thinks of that. Blasphemy! -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 18:58, 22 April 2007 (EDT)
IIRC, you are in a ruck with jades in the area where you need to branch off to get to the statue and that combined with your desire to get to the nearby teleporter tends to draw you away from heading off and looking in this little gulley User Fox.jpg Fox (talk|contribs) 18:58, 22 April 2007 (EDT)
Fox's reason seems correct. But WOW! Just how many people knew of this before? Also, attempt kneeling at the statue (perhaps you must be ascended/completed The Dragon's Lair). File:Esig2.jpg Eldin 15:21, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Can we be sure?[edit]

How can we be sure that this is actually a statue of Glint, and not some other Dragon? With Guild Wars 2's storyline with the Ancient Dragons, perhaps this is the Dragon of the Desert? There are statues all around Tyria (Drakkar is in the lake of Drakkar Lake, Primordus is in the lair of the Great Destroyer, the Water Dragon is in between Dalada Uplands and Grothmar Wardowns, the Light House Dragon of Shing Jea is in Port Kaimu), which probably link to Ancient Dragons as well, perhaps this is another? --MarinBloodbane 10:27, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Its been there since GW release so it cant have a link to GW:EN or GW2. But if you wanna be certain, ask Emily ~ KurdUser Kurd sig.png 10:31, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Well, on one hand, it could be as they seem to have though up campaigns years in advance (seen with the references to Cantha and Elona throughout Prophecies), on the other hand, Glint is the only dragon who lives in the Crystal Desert and all the bigger dragons are alot more fearsome looking.--§ Eloc § 23:18, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

theory[edit]

What I can come up with, is that Glint maybe the prophet that guided the Margonites to Ascention, or maybe he played a role in creating her own prophecies.

"he"? What "he" are you talking about? Abaddon? Paddymew 11:20, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Temple thing (also book spoilers, so uh read with caution)[edit]

It's been a while since I read the book, but is this not the location of the final battle Edge of Destiny has against Kralkatorrik in which a handful of major characters die? I apologize if I'm not remembering correctly, but if I am the temple is located beneath/inside of this statue. 24.13.43.231 18:25, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

The Dragon's Lair (outpost) is where they are - at Glint's little sanctuary. You can also tell by looking at the GW2 map; the Dragonbrand (which marks Kralkatorrik's path) ends at that outpost. Konig/talk 22:32, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
