Actually it should go into the localization feedback Feedback:Localization bugs/Russian -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 02:11, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
German translation is always the best if you want to laugh. They did not update anything this time, so Signet of Suffering says: “For each hex on target foe, that foe takes 2...13...16 damage (maximum 6 damage).” If you didn't think, it was the worst skill in game before (and even elite), now you do. And Eremite's Zeal states two different ranges for both energy gains, nearby for the first, adjacent for the second. In fact, they are both earshot. --numma_cway 02:50, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Attunements[edit]

Finally, the ele attunement skills have been needing the shorter cast time for years. Looks like a nice skill balance overall. -- User Kirbman sig.png Kirbman 01:26, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Aura of Restoration is 20 sec recharge now, but that was not documented in this update. Bug, or intentional? 84.90.202.144 01:31, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
I don't know about you, but all I read under the Dervish section was decrease, decrease, increase duration, decrease, decrease... 91.177.154.246 01:54, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
The update is good for eles, but still needs more improvement to be close to an esurge spike in HM. I don't really understand why they don't want to splite invoke, chaining and a couple of other air so that in pve do more damage while in pvp do less damage and maybe have higher cooldown in pvp. The problem I see now is that Invoke almost = Chaining (the damage done it's extremely close and the 1s activation time between them don't justity the fact that invoke it's an elite...)Thedukesd 02:51, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

disease?[edit]

i don't fully understand why disease effects were lowered? someone mind explaining why? it was already extremely low...so yeah 96.13.34.106 02:52, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

It was overpowered in PvP. --Falconeye 04:14, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Sounds more like a fragility spike-worthy thing to me now86.88.86.253 06:45, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
how is disease overpowered when the user suffers as well, and if you missed the point: doesn't last long. now it is how the above person said, it is MORE powerful for enabling frag. 96.13.47.81 14:22, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Avatar of Grenth adds immunity to Disease, so the user would not take the heat. 128.119.156.66 03:20, 25 March 2011 (UTC)0

The problem, 96.13, is that a Dervish could easily maintain disease on ~half of a team in pvp, which, when combined with all the other crap they do, is a lot of pressure. 2 sec being peeled off doesn't seem like much, but AoGrenth wasn't really all that badly OP'd to begin with if you ask me. It's a minor change that'll make a fairly significant difference.--Gerroh 00:56, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Ledge farmer no more[edit]

The ledge farmers were much like the fellows who walk the roadsides picking up cans for recycling. The rewards were never great, but with enough investment of one's time, one could get a modest return. I know, it's an MMO supposedly, but part of Anet's genius has been that it actually catered to all stripes, from those who enjoyed meeting new people in PUGs to those of us who just enjoyed playing the game with our spouse or the occasional solo farm or mission. But with the ruination last month of raptor farming and now of ledge farming, we solo farmers are feeling increasingly isolated and under siege. Even the chat in the ToPK outpost after the update was particularly vicious toward those of us who thought we had discovered a slow, but sure way to eventually obtain that obsidian armor. "Now you noobs will have to join groups and actually play the game" was perhaps the most polite observation. I play the game. I enjoy the game immensely, in all its aspects. I just added my fortieth title to my Hall of Monuments earlier today. Part of that enjoyment was showing people new to ledge farming how to do it, sharing something I knew in a game where so many profess to know so much more than I do and to be so much better than I am. Well, you've won, you with your speed clears and Terraways. You've gotten Anet's imprimatur, so go ahead and feel superior. And I, well, I know my place, and it's not on a ledge, fending off foes by myself and finding that little bit of satisfaction when that glob finally dropped. Sjhshh 03:53, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, the response at ToPK was pretty hostile. I really don’t care for Anet’s method of handling problems like this. Botters do ledge farming. Solution? Get rid of the botters? No. Remove the creatures that drop ecto from the 1st level. Sure, the botters go away, but real players have to go too. Why the “baby with the bathwater” mentality? Yeah, it’s nothing new and we’ll just have to suck it up I guess (again). But were the real players really hurting anything? And if the botters are banned and they decide to purchase the game again to bot again, doesn’t that help Anet out? I would’ve liked the banhammer to have kept swinging and let the rest of us get that occasional ecto than just let the botters win again. Sardaukar User Sardaukar sig.png 05:07, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Not everyone enjoys PvP, zaishen challenge, or UW. Some people found their niche in ledge farming and were having a good time. Why should they be happy that their favorite farm was collateral damage in ANet's perennial battle with botters?
@Sard/Sjhshh: on the other hand, ANet (along with any other MMO developer) is never going to find it easy to just get rid of the botters. There's really no way that they can indefinitely afford to allow easy-to-bot areas to exist immediately outside of an outpost. This isn't a win for botters; they don't really care if your farm is nerfed.
Of course, ANet could take a moment, when they make things difficult for botters, to acknowledge that these actions also affect honest players and that not everyone gets a kick out of adapting to change.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 17:22, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Barbed Signet[edit]

Are you guys ever gonna figure out what to do with it? --BriarUser Briar Sig 3.jpgThe Spider 04:18, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Yeah tried it out a bit and for PvE Barbed Signet goes nicely with Signet of Infection followed up with Oppresive Gaze ofc and Necrosis. You get a nice combination of Bleeding, Poison, Disease and Weakness, take some damage and utility for the remaining slots. For PvP i have yet to try it out tough, but it works...much better than it's Elite version. Damysticreaper 13:16, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
The elite version is more useful in PvP play, but yeah the new Barbed Signet finds great viability given it's, obviously, inherent AoE condition dealing ability.128.119.169.132 19:09, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Consume Soul[edit]

I decided to test the effect of the change on PvE by taking my warrior main and her 7-hero team and vanquishing Morostav Trail. As you can see, it's a rather spirit/minion-heavy build so there were plenty of opportunities for the warden ritualists to spike me down.

From this sample size of one, I can definitively conclude that the change hasn't had any discernible impact on the difficulty of the game. I wiped once at Sunreach Warmaker—the first time in this area since 7-hero groups were introduced—but that was due to over-aggroing that notoriously crowded location; despite this, I still finished in a new best time for me (42 mins without any running skills). The change also shouldn't affect speed clear teams, since they don't use spirits for the most part. -- Hong 05:56, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Signet of Suffering[edit]

Still not worthy of an elite status. Period. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 08:35, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

So they made it the pre existing barned signet lol. No comment on creativity.

Isn't it worse than Barbed Signet now? Barbed Signet can now cause AoE bleeding while Signet of Suffering can only bleed one foe and you need to use another skill for it. Damysticreaper 11:50, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Worse? No, the thing is barbed signet has the bigger drawback now since you sacrifice HP, bleeding can be countered much easier by a blood-necro with one or two Life Siphon plus you can cast this long before the fight starts. Not to mention that barbed signet has a longer recharge. Lou Wolfskin 14:49, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
It is worse not because of precast wich doesn't matter with no activation time and 4 sec recharge or bleeding vs sac wich can be easily countered with life steal. You still require a target no matter how you look at the function ,barbed signet immediatly target while suffering inderictly requires a target trough a second skill. Even tough it sounds nice how you say it it still isn't worth taking because barbed signet does to job plenty good and isn't wasting you an elite slot in adition it's AoE so ofc you lose a bit more health. But simply said it's worse because it does the same job barely cheaper than a by play more effective non elite wich has better synergy with more blood magic skills (mainly oppresive gaze) and title skills (signet of infection). Damysticreaper 15:16, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Barbed Signet is now a 1 second cast 10 recharge bleeding signet... it is much worse than the previous barbed signet (which is now signet of suffering). 94.6.54.123 18:03, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
It was already inferior to Signet_of_Deadly_Corruption Signet_of_Deadly_Corruption. I didn't think it was possible to make this "Elite" any more underwhelming... obviously I was wrong. --ilrUser ilr deprav.png 01:06, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Another failure of Anet creativity, copy & paste, ruin an bad elite to the worst. Why don't they just simply nerf Barbed sig and leave sig of suffering alone...? --TeaCat._. User RedTeaCat TeaCat.jpg 12:28, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
Looks like Signet of Suffering is not bad, just not elite-worthy. If it were a plain skill I'd maybe take it. 86.147.32.30 09:56, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

yeah now all this skills are pretty much dead again in pve[edit]

Did anyone else's Guild... vanish?[edit]

My guild just vanished into thin air. No cape, no tag, no NPCs in the GH, no guild chat.... but the GH still exists and the guild window under G is completely blank. If I wasn't in a guild then the window would say so, but it's black, nothings in it. I'll be writing to support probably, but want to know if anyone else has this issue? Roar! Got a reply from support if anyone's interested:
"We are aware of the issue you describe. We are working on a resolution as we speak and the issue should be resolved shortly. As a work around for now, to access your guild hall you can go to any American District and you should be able to see your guild hall." Roar! Poki#3 (talk) 22:15, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
A message from Gaile about this: Ok, just checked on this and the problem most likely was a cross-Atlantic connectivity issue that resolved itself. Error counters that programmers can view have dropped to zero. If you DO experience this again, please submit a support ticket so we can get it on the radar real quickly!

Im still experimenting this issue, but now it seem to be somewhat random or not consistant at least. Half the time everything is fine, and for the other half entering the guild hall does the bug (grey out everything), im having several accounts and they all get affected by this, funly enought, if somebody was clean in the hall instance, others will still have access to services even if bugged out. I dont think everything was resolved. This also affect american people been in a europeen guild btw. 82.224.68.40 08:10, 27 March 2011 (UTC)nobody
