• Optimus shares his spawn point in the Abaddon's Mouth mission with Cairn the Destroyer, Cairn the Relentless, Mercia the Smug, Sarlic the Judge, and Willa the Unpleasant. One of these bosses will always spawn alongside Optimus.
• As his name translates to "highest ruler" (as described below) and because he acts as the leader of Mercia the Smug and Lazarus the Dire in Rise of the White Mantle, it is possible he is the leader of the Mursaat.

• "Optimus" means "highest" in Latin and "caliph" is the Romanised form of the Arabic word "khalifah", which means "successor" or "representative" and was used to describe the leader of the Muslim nation. Thus, Optimus Caliph roughly translates to "highest successor", "highest representative" or "highest ruler".
