Lazarus the Dire is a powerful Mursaat. He is encountered during The Justiciar's End, an Eye of the North quest.

He's one of the last survivors of the Mursaat that were slain by the Titans a few years before.

• Although he is a Necromancer in the Rise of the White Mantle, in The Justiciar's End he is an Elementalist like the Aspect of Lazarus in Eye of the North.
• The Lazarus in Lazarus the Dire is most likely borrowed from the the Biblical figure of the same name, who was miraculously raised to life by Jesus after being dead and buried for 4 days according to the Gospel of John, chapter 11.
