- The name was changed to distinguish them from the two new types of candy canes introduced during the Wintersday 2006 event, Rainbow and Wintergreen in the December 15, 2006 update.
- Use in difficult PvE areas and in hard mode to avoid being kicked out when your death penalty reaches 60%.
