Brechnar Ironhammer is the brother of King Jalis Ironhammer of the Deldrimor Dwarves.

Brechnar is first seen in the Borlis Pass mission where he allows players entry into Grooble's Gulch, of which he is the lord. Later he appears in the Thunderhead Keep mission where he decides to join the players on their journey into the Ring of Fire Islands. In the Ring of Fire mission, he leads a group of dwarves creating a diversion to allow the player's party to get past the heavy Mursaat defenses at the start of the mission. Hopelessly outnumbered (and regrettably uninfused), his team is torn to pieces by the Mursaat. Following players' triumph in passing the Mursaat Fortifications, Vizier Khilbron appears and cremates his body - the party utters prayer.

• The Mursaat do not actually kill Brechnar. When they are aggroed, Brechnar simply runs away and dies.
