Walkthrough[edit]

During this quest most of the normal bestiary are replaced by level 40 titans. Before tackling titan groups for the first time, it is important to know the correct order to kill the titans. Frost Titans spawn a Titan's Malice and an Icy Brute. Titan's Malice spawn a Titan's Heart and Icy Brutes spawn Dark Titans. Frost Titans are powerful AoE elementalists, but they should be tackled last because of the amount of enemies they spawn. Icy Brutes and Dark Titans pale in comparison to Titan's Malice, Panic mesmers that effectively shut down entire caster groups, and Titan's Heart, competent healers. Titan's Heart should be spiked down first because they make killing the other Titans difficult and they don't spawn any enemies upon death. Titan's Malice should then be taken out next and their spawn immediately afterwards. The Brutes and Dark Titans can be mopped up before targeting the Frost Titans and his respective spawns.

Armed with this knowledge on how to beat the Titans, fight your way through Tasca's Demise to Mineral Springs. Take either the upper or lower path, both have many Titan mobs to fight through. Note that many mobs patrol, and it is easy to over-aggro and wipe. Spawns of patrolling groups do not patrol with them, so you can pick off those smaller groups at your leisure. The Avicara also fight the Titans, but they are seriously overmatched, and need your help to defeat the Titans. Eviro Sectus's group is larger than most other mobs, with several Frost Titans. If you wipe, his group will patrol back and forth in a small part of the canyon area, allowing you to kill the lone Titans that spawn. The spawns don't have to be killed to complete the quest, just the original Titans in Eviro's group. DP removal is very helpful for the quest as a whole because it is very easy to wipe. If you have cons, they are also helpful.

Make sure your group puller has a speed boost. Else the Titans can quickly snare and kill him before he can escape.

Skill considerations: One of the greatest challenges comes from the Frost Titan's new skill, Smash of the Titans. This skill does around 300 AoE damage, AoE knockdown, and removes all enchantments from one foe. This means that tanks that rely on enchantments (such as Shadow Form, for example) will be ineffective. Also Bonders will have trouble keeping the team bonded. An effective strategy is to use a Soul Twisting ritualist with Shelter, Displacement, and Union up 100% of the time in order to keep the team healthy with other healers to back him up.
