Interrupt Bot

Since you're actually checking wiki atm

[1] Hopefully I can get your attention and someone at anet can take a look at this--TahiriVeila 23:38, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Already noted. Already relayed. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 06:40, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Hey Gaile

Do you instantly archive everything you don't like, or just what makes your employers look bad? -- Tha Reckoning File:User Tha Reckoning Sig2.jpg 04:08, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

I archive those threads that the author, himself, admits were trolling. You did, I acted. The end. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 04:11, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
I see. Have you ever considered going into politics? -- Tha Reckoning File:User Tha Reckoning Sig2.jpg 04:12, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
I don't think its good to only give a update on what you're doing every time you need to get elected. But thats just me,I know shit about politics :) Lilondra User Lilondra Sig.jpg 21:25, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
I was just commenting on the fact that I get the strangest feeling (could just be me being crazy) that she'd be good at a job where she'd be responsible for lying to large numbers of people, and for gliding over the nastier aspects of the people that pay her, or not mentioning those aspects at all. -- Tha Reckoning File:User Tha Reckoning Sig2.jpg 21:34, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
I get the strangest feeling that ^^that went a little too far. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 22:39, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Why? It's a positive thing to be good at what you do. -- Tha Reckoning File:User Tha Reckoning Sig2.jpg 22:40, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Not a brown noser, feel free to move this

Gaile, seriously. Do you or A Net actually care about bots anymore? Because there seem to be more and more every day. The trouble is, anyone in PvP already knows who they are, and I bet they get reported about 500 times a day, yet nothing ever changes. It's OK if you don't care about them, just let all of the players in HA know that, so they can adjust their play accordingly to deal with 8 rupt-bots. Any communication about this would be good rather than "report all bots on the botwatch page" because as far as I can see, nothing actually gets followed up from there. We don't care if you don't mind the bots, seriously, we won't be mad, we just want some response from the game's developers. If you can't beat such third party applications such as GWCA, might as well just close PvP now than lose your playerbase who might buy GW2.

Cordially yours Rolain1 07:00, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

PS oh and seriously, a Mesmer buff in PvP? Does Izzy actually play this game or does he just guess what needs changing? You'd think that with all the qqing about mesmer bots that goes on, you wouldn't make them even stronger. Guess anet likes having Keystone bots running around.

Rolain1 07:03, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Blinding Surge (and blind in general):

...ruins PvP. It stops 50% of all professions (especially in smaller arenas like RA & CA) mindlessly by 1-1-1-1-1-1-smahing your finger onto the applicable number/skill slot it's assigned to. All that in just one skill. So imagine 2-4 blinds? I personally tested a E/Rt build that used 4 blind spells: B.Surge, B.Flash, Blind Was Mingson, and Weapon of Shadow. This build alone stopped every single physical team from doing anything while creating an uproar of foul language, effectively taking them out of play while the rest of my team rick-rolled them. It's just not fair to have blind be this good that it forces players to roll casters, only to face rupt bots and STILL LOSE, hence never making any progress in PvP. Has the "blind" condition ever been discussed by the GW1 LT? Or at the very least all the most troublesome blind spells? Blind needs a serious redux, and my personal suggestion would be to lower the miss rate to anywhere between 75-50% so that when combined with block stances, blurred vision, and weakness, it won't be as overpowered on the melee classes. There's a plethora of ways to stop melee. Blind and weakness are by far the most troublesome when recharges are extremely low. Let's keep the reciprocity going. <3 :) --Ulterion 06:20, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

There's also a plethora of ways to stop caters. Anet already had a blind-nerf a while back with Ebon Dust and a couple other skills that were considered OP, and people seemed content with that. You sound like you want blindness to be smiter-boon'd, because a character can bring 4 blind skills and the other team doesn't happen to have anti-caster. PvP is rock/paper/scissors, you can't just remove scissors because paper said so. Counter the blind-bots. And it looks like the bigger underlying problem is still rupt bots, not blind. angels tread among

Hello, this is just to say my good friend got his account banned, and i would like to say on his behalf that he plays constantly. He actually introduced me to gw about a year and a half ago. He was banned for a topk run that he tought me, we used to do it together. i know he has put in around 8 thousand hours, so it is a bummer for him to have had to start a new account. his origanal character was Softly Spoken Ms. I guess he has tried to contact you as Angels Tread Among--Troyounce 20:12, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Not sure if you can help him out, but i thought i would try. I will vouch for him. Have a great day either way, and Have fun.  :)--Troyounce 20:12, 26 August 2010 (UTC)io orell
For all account issues, players first should reach out to the support team for assistance. Nearly always, the issue is resolved through the team. The resolution may be a change in outcome or an explanation of why action was taken on an account (and why it will be upheld). When you say "I guess he has tried to contact you as..." is that "you" me personally, or is that "you" the Support Team? Hopefully he has contacted Support and they have helped him or are in the process of doing so. If he has exhausted all points of discussion with Support, I can take a look at the matter. I see that your friend has posted on the Support Issues page and provided his 12-digit Incident Number. I have responded there, as that's the best place for such a discussion. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 02:36, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi. With all respect, I don't follow random, unidentified links. If you could tell me a little about this link, perhaps I can take a look. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 18:33, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
Its basicly Two syncing idiots Echochaining Aura of the Lich to make around 5 minions of high level then using illusion of something to kill themselves in a random arenas match (i think), Then, after they die and the minions are killing the other two teamates, they report those two inoccent teammates for leeching and then the syncing idiots log off.(Also; theyre on Vent.Irrelivant though)--Neil2250 User Neil2250 sig icon6.png 18:37, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

People do this in FA too (or used to, I think they fixed it). It's just another way of griefing, like using vengeance and UA. Karate User Karate Jesus KJ for sig.png Jesus 18:59, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
People's creativity in causing other people distress on the net never ceases to amaze me. --LaniaUser Lania Elderfire pinkribbon.jpg 19:38, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
1. They aren't idiots, and if I said who they were (which is pretty obvious) you should get a NPA slap Neil. 2. We asked Gaile if griefing like this was ok and she said "People can play how they want, even if it isn't very smart".--*Yasmin Parvaneh* User yasmin parvaneh sig.png 00:03, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Here, I found the actual quote:
"If you bring Resurrect you are clearly hurting your team and should be reported. Like how when I Arcane Echo Aura of the Lich then Illusion of Weakness myself to death, causing my minions to attack my own teammates, I get reported and it's perfectly valid. They need to add a category in the report feature that says "F A I L" --adrin User adrin ecto sig.png 22:43, 23 January 2009 (UTC)"
"@Adrin: Yes. Reporting someone because you don't like their skills, their play style, or their choice of hairstyle is dead wrong! The system is intended to be used only for reporting issues such as leeching and harassment. Playing foolishing (or dying your armour unwisely ;) ) is not against the game rules and is not something on which Support will take action. No one on the support or development teams would judge gameplay, weapon use, skill choices, etc., and pPlayers should not misuse the system for reports of this type. And in relation to Yu5cef's concern, if someone conspires with his teammates to use /report for reasons other than a breach of the User Agreement, that's abuse of the system. If proved, such abuse may result in far more than a simple hex. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 01:19, 24 January 2009 (UTC"}
There's your answer OP.--*Yasmin Parvaneh* User yasmin parvaneh sig.png 00:22, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Sure, reporting someone for their playstyle is wrong, griefing notwithstanding. There's a distinct difference between unintentionally being bad and deliberately setting up a half-synchronized team and sabotaging that team for shits and giggles. Care to guess what it is? (Hint: lawyering Gaile's statements won't help your point.)
Here's a quote from the Rules of Conduct (the first rule, in fact): "While playing Guild Wars, you must respect the rights of others and their rights to play and enjoy the game. To this end, you may not defraud, harass, threaten, or cause distress and/or unwanted attention to other players." This video clearly qualifies. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 01:50, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Sorry for not being specific what I wanted to know was your view on these playeres which we all quite know one is Shard, the part that I want to be clear about is when they kill themselfs, they report the other players on their team, which one of them says "don't forget to report their team mates", I want your view On this specific part. 85.243.232.50 12:06, 12 July 2010 (UTC)JennaStar

I have asked for a review of this situation. I cannot say what the outcome might be, but I do agree it is worth investigating. Thanks. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 03:15, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Yasmine please be quiet. You can't NPA someone because they were idiots on youtube. An idiot on youtube is an idiot on youtube and they deserve to be judged if they went through all the trouble of being an idiot on youtube. It is build wars nazis who ruin PvP not the person who brought Resurrect. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә User Aliceandsven 3.png ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 04:12, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Character names?

I have two questions for you regarding character names. I haven't been able to find the answers scanning through the EULA and when i sent in a support ticket asking these questions a few omnths back i only got copy/paste automated answers that weren't related to my question at all. My first question regards character names on banned accounts. One of my former accounts was banned, at the time it was banned i had a rollable pvp character holding a name I planned to use for a pve character on a different account. Would it be possible for a CSR to delete the character on my banned account so that I can use the character name on my newly purchased account? My second question regards purchasing character names from other players. If myself and another player come to an agreement whereby i trade ingame currency (platinum or ectos) in exchange for the other player deleting a particular character so that I may use the character name, does any possibility exist that myself or the other player will be punished by arenanet? Thanks for your help, i've always found that you're actually able to understand and aid players unlike the inept CSRs that handle tickets. Just realized this isn't the right place to post this, sorry!--24.63.116.169 01:30, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Face your doom!

[2] I shall enjoy watching Arenanet fail as players flock to a game who's development team has consistently produced top sellers and knows the meaning of customer support! muahaha. ^____^

This too

shall pass... Yseron - 90.14.96.153 19:07, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
