Was about to do this quest, saw that there was a patch. Checked for notes and there weren't any yet. Patched, started quest, decided to try skipping Cairn, cleared out Shaemoor and spent a lot of time trying to find the group I missed. Eventually checked back for patch notes. Asuran Beacon

Wake up ArenaNet. Game Mechanics which punish half of the game's classes are poor game design. A skill slot would have been dramatically better so that people with martial weapons can join in with the fight as well. I don't see such a large difference there. I've completed the quest a couple of times both with weapon and caster classes, and in all of these cases I just picked up the beacon and dropped it off at the first enemy group I have run into. I found it more burdening keeping the bundle around than what it would benefit me. I do understand that you are far more limited holding a bundle as a weapon wielding class though. 78.92.6.111 19:15, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
