- Notes are already up.
- Can't believe I got kicked out of RA for this bs. 66.215.80.139
- No skill updates either. Sigh. 91.155.151.110 21:35, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

- Had a look myself, only new images are these [1] [2]in different sizes, and they definitely don't look like hats to me. -Yuki Winterchill 21:44, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- Second one looks like it could be cool, but wow, that first one is very weird.
- First one looks like some cat ears. EDIT: or a set of werewolf ears --Curin Derwin 21:56, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

- How can you get more Halloween than black cats? I like them! Okay, werewolves are Halloween too. They could have made them instead of the goggles. --'Mai Yi' talk 22:07, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- Black cat ears, bat ears...it's all good. But Blammo! Steampunk Goggles! Markus Clouser 22:08, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- Damn Germans being faster than me, still can't find the inventory icons! D= -Yuki Winterchill 22:10, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Hats[edit]
Step One) Make great costumes, put them both on sale
Step Two) Make extremely minimal free festive items
Step Three) Make money

Weird coincidence....[edit]
rofl, last nite while on costume brawl outpost, I was like "where is Tolkano, wtf, why they put Priest of Balthazar no one hardly use it!!! phail anet phail" next day they patch it, and added tolkano, lols~ im impress anet.--Ridz16 02:12, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
- I will make that sentence a little more grammatically correct. "Haha. Last night I was in the Costume Brawl Outpost, and I could not find Tolkano. I said to myself, 'Where is Tolkano? Why did ArenaNet only place a Priest of Balthazar here? Not many players use that NPC. ArenaNet must have made a mistake.' The next day they patched it by adding Tolkano. Haha, I am impressed ArenaNet." --'Mai Yi' talk 19:15, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

...rather pay for proper updates than this kind of shit T.T. I'd pay for a big monthly skillupdate... 82.169.222.223 09:52, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
- You may want to consider a game with a monthly fee then. elix Omni 10:08, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
- Or pay for a game in need of updates. I'll stick to not-paying for a game where the skills are usually the same when I wake up the next morning. --Manassas 10:16, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

- That would work, except then he'd still have to play against BB and hexway shitters every time he wanted to HA. If you bring a knife to a gunfight, it doesn't magically become a fun and balanced knife fight for you. — Raine Valen 18:06, 29 Oct 2010 (UTC)
- For some people, the added challenge would make it fun. Fun doesn't have to mean winning always, I've had more fun in games while loosing than I've ever had winning by steamroll. --Curse You(talk|contribs) 01:34, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- I totally disagree with troll-ish comments from ppl hiding behind an IP address. And yes anet are doing a good job considering there are no fixed monthly payments... servers/electricity/maintenance/staff cost money, and they dont farm it in UW ;) -- Pixy | Talk 10:36, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- Given how infrequent skill updates are, I'd rather have them sooner and new content later, even if they were just obviously bad skills which were only slightly improved (in fact it'd be better to improve things slightly over and over until they become balanced than to guess and make bad skills into OPed ones and vice versa) - these shouldn't need much thought or testing tbh. Still, I have to agree with the last couple of posts. 81.159.26.136 16:46, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Conclusion[edit]
Anet spent its time on making hats everbody seems to hate, time better spent on skillupdates.
- Hate? Best halloween hat for a while, better than the shitty facepaints we keep getting. Cat ears are win, just a shame I can't wear them with my glasses! -Yuki Winterchill 21:12, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Cat ears on all my characters! --'Mai Yi' talk 22:41, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Same, my assassin is so Kawaii now! -Yuki Winterchill 23:54, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- The only shame is that you can't wear them on your headgear. Waar Kijk Je Naar 05:06, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- The goggles would be awesome if you could make Vekk wear them... but they still look rather charming on smaller female characters (my mesmer looks like Rita from Tales of Vesperia now) FleshAndFaith 07:24, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Now that halloween is over, expect the Dervish Update, Embark Beach and all of the other wonderful trappings Anet has been talking about... Maybe. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 03:35, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

They'll probably buff scythes knowing anet and they'll give some shit reason like "we felt that te scythe was not diverse enough, so we gave wounding strike extra functionality by adding +dmg". Anet is just too busy sucking GW2's 8===0
- I think it'll be more along the lines of "Grenths Grasp; All adjacent foes take 'x' amount of damage, (original effect), and when this enchantment ends, it cripples adjacent foes.", "Onslaught IAS/IMS to 33%", "Vow of Strength is now calculated by the amount of enchantments currently on you - up to 30% extra damage (even with conditions on)" ;D If they fuck over my Zealous Vow, I'm gonna rage hard. --122.111.226.139 13:18, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- I Hope it wont be a "lol look at the dervishes steamrolling everything and being totally unkillable" update. last time it ended up with everyone except dervishes using the skills (Armor of Sanctity being used mainly by monks as a non elite mist form etc.--Miriforst fox 14:45, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

- If they nerf both Aura of Holy Might and Asuran Scan, they can buff whatever they want. 24.197.253.243 22:20, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- " I hope you realize how absurd you sound saying that Dervishes may be given even more damage buffs." Maybe you should take a look at what Anet has "balanced" in the past. Almost every time it ends up being something ridiculously overpowered or broken. Look at the mesmer update, there was literally no calling for mesmer buffs at all. There was a lot of calling for mesmer nerfs, and Anet answered that by giving a shutdown class more damage than damaging classes, while buffing the shutdown too. Do you really expect the people that did that to exhibit any sort of common sense when it comes to a dervish update? -- Tha Reckoning 17:42, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- I'll agree with Reck here on Mesmers but only b/c I expected them to give Mesmers more utility so they'd be better Team Supporters. One example that actually was tested by the TK: They made the energy gain from Spirit of Failure apply to your whole party which woulda been awesome. Shared Burden, Instability, & Stolen speed are also rather nice but they didn't quite go far enough when compared to the Brainless raw Spammy power of Panic & Keystone. & More damage is just dumb, I shouldn't be able to nuke entire groups of Dryders & Behemoths in UW myself with just Wastrels+Wastrels spamming and Panic while taking barely any damage. It's a degenerate meta that exploits bad A.I. --ilr 18:53, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Guild Wars[edit]
It all started in a place called Ascalon,
Where a race called the Charr invaded us.
A brave prince said "Hold the wall, or we're dead."
But we couldn't hold it long, so to the south we fled
To Fort Ranik, all the people were panicked.
The kingdom was falling like the Titanic.
I asked the man near the catapult, "What do you need?"
"I found some parts in the nearby wreckage,
Are you looking for these?"
Through the ruins, to the Academy, to a place
Where the prince would rather be.
You see, his father has got a few problems,
the problem is that he can't solve them.
So he said "You're no longer my son."
"To the Shiverpeaks, fool, get your butt on the run!"
To Kryta. To Carlotta the Spider.
The Arch to the Henge, along with Stefan the Fighter.
Meet the White Mantle, defeat the White Mantle,
Go to the desert and flee from the scandal.
Reach for Elona and Rivers of Thirst
Ascend after Dunes by doing your worst to yourself.
Then fulfilling by Glint's grand design,
For the prophecy states at Perdition you'll find
The Vizier is a fake, he's really the Lich
Slay him, take the scepter, and finish this.
So that chapter closes, to the arenas I journey.
Defeating Koreans in every Tomb tourney.
Guild versus Guild since I have my own hall.
Spikers and Spirits, I'm smiting them all.
Try to take favor then offer to Grenth,
Farm up some ectoplasm then spend every cent.
Salvage some runes, heal with Divine Boon
Level to 20 on all of my toons.
