The Band of the Phoenix [BotP] is a North American guild that has been around since release day of Guild Wars. That's not to say we're a powerhouse in the community, because we are not. The Band of the Phoenix started as just simple way to keep track of friends in Guild Wars and grew/shrunk many times over the (going on) 5 years of its existence. We have gone through only one Guild Leader change, when one of our co-founders left the guild for another MMORPG who's name won't be named. Our other co-founder and current officers have been playing the game for more than 5 years and have a lot of knowledge in Guild Wars to share. We are currently in the [SRG] Alliance and are trying to build up our guild with other, like-minded players.

Guild Rules

These are the rules & regulations for the Band of the Phoenix guild. Adhere to these and the Alliance Rules of Conduct. We are not a super strict guild, but definitely do not want utter chaos. Recruiting
Please follow the rules followed by the Alliance. As a member of the [SRG] alliance, we have promised to adhere to those standards.

Guild Chat Rules

All Chat/Trade Chat

• Please follow the Guild Wars Rules of Conduct when typing in All Chat or Trade Chat.
• There is no recruiting in Outposts or Towns.

Guild Chat

• Cursing: Cursing is fine; if you're frustrated we understand
• Abbreviations: We have no issues with abbreviations. You're fingers busy keeping your party alive? Why not?
• 1337(leet/elite) speak: Go for it, no one can understand it and it takes too long to type it but have at it if you must.
• Racial slurs: Not tolerated. This is the 21st century people.

Team Chat

• Team chat is an interesting issue. The safe bet is to follow the Guild Wars Rules of Conduct when in a team whose party members you are unfamiliar. Since PUG'ing is a great way to find new memebers, it's a good idea to not tarnish [BotP] before you can talk to prospective members after a quest/mission.
• If you are teaming up with Guild or Alliance members, gauge if you are comfortable with them. Otherwise follow the Guild Wars Rules of Conduct and you will be fine.

Guild Events

If scheduling for the Alliance please check their calendar on the Alliance Forums. Otherwise, be sure to list it in our Current Events page by the Data and time scheduled. Reporting Issues

Alliance officers/members are encouraged to screen shot problems in chat if they plan to bring the problem to the attention of officers/guild leaders/the alliance leader. It helps when making decisions because screen shots show what went on.

Recruitment

We like to speak to all potential members in-game before we recruit into the guild. You can talk to any of the members below in-game. CASH alliance guilds do not recruit by advertising their guilds in chat in outposts. They recruit players who have made a good impression on them after meeting them in game (for example, on teams) or by replying to good 'seeking guild' threads on forums like Guild Wars Guru and IncGamers. Alliance officers should get a feel for a recruit's personality before inviting them so our alliance chat isn't the testing ground for their behavior and they should recruit mature, polite, friendly players who will fit in with our alliance chat.
