History
Ignis Argentum [Cor] was formed January 9 2009 from a previous guild wanting to follow up on ideals not possible with the former name. Our main focus is to have fun together, to have a friendly and relaxing environment for each and every member.
The founders of Cor started off as friends in a guild wars movie making guild. When the leader of that guild decided to move on another member was left in charge in his place. Not long after that it was decided that this movie making guild was to become the leader of the alliance due to the guild leading that alliance died. A vote was taken and Chihiro Tamashii was selected as the guild and alliance leader. The movie making activities started to decline after a while and the members became more focused on playing the game. Some non movie making friends of the members in the guild started to join and the name of the guild started to become a problem because it was hard to get new members to stay due to the name focusing on movie making people. There for a vote was made to remake the guilds name and purpose hence Cor was born.

Our purpose in the world of guild wars
Our purpose is simple, we want to have fun. Not have fun on someone else's expense but rather have fun together so that everyone can feel the joy spreading throughout the group. Off course we have some nut cases that makes fun of themselves, but no one is to make fun of someone else. We really do want to believe that everyone can have fun together and want to spread the joy even to others outside the borders of our guild.

Our guild name
Ignis Argentum is latin and means silverfire. Our tag [Cor] is also latin and means centrum, soul the very essence of once being, the heart ...
We wanted to have a name that would make anyone around the globe to feel welcome to our guild so we no longer would have a problem with others not wanting to be in our guild because of our name. Since latin has been an essential part of many parts around the world we though it would give a more global and warm feeling to everyone.

So who are we?
We are a mostly PvE focused guild doing things in both normal mode as well as hard mode. Together with the alliance we are doing a variety of different activities like eye of the north dungeons, missions and vanquishing. From time to time when we shout out on the alliance chat to get groups for fissure of woe, underworld, the deep, urgoz and other things of what ever we feel like wanting to do. Also we are encouraging our members to come up with ides for events they would like to have, whether they are able to hold them themselves or if the leader or an officer have to lead the event.

We do have some members that enjoy doing some PvP for the fun of it when they feel like it but we are absolutely no PvP experts nor regular PvP players.

Some people in the guild are going for a various of different titles, the most common once are protector titles and guardian titles. Although a few of us are crazy enough to attempt to get the very attractive "God walks among mere mortals" which is the title for having 30 maximised titles.

Alliance
We are allied to the Kurzicks and a part of the [CASH] alliance, trying our best to spread joy to everyone in Cor and throughout to the entire alliance.

Communication
Our website and forum is a way for us to communicate, to keep all members informed with the latest guild news, and in game events. We are also using our forum to socialize, get to know each other, discuss gaming and non-gaming related topics. We have artists, video makers, writers many other hidden talents in our guild and want to encourage our members to be able to share there talents and perhaps even give some tips and tricks to get even better. Who knows maybe we can even help someone in our community to get known to the big scary world.

We are also hosting an alliance teamspeak for our guild and alliance where every member in our alliance are welcome join in on at all times. Teamspeak adds up even more on the gaming experience as well as socialising.

Many of us are also keeping in touch through skype, msn and simular programs since many of us has become quite good friends.

Our guild rules are based on common sence and are there to prevet quarrels.

What kind of people are welcome to our guild?
Players of all levels are welcome to our guild, newcomer to the game or old veteran, it does not matter. We are always looking for mature friendly players we can enjoy playing the game together with, to grow from a small guild to whatever destiny has planed for us.(spooky spooky)

We mostly recruit people who we have meet through playing the game, but anyone who fits the criteria for being nice and friendly are welcome to apply for a membership. If you are interested in joining our guild just contact one of the officers in game (see contact information).
