I think you didn't tick the box that said "Raw Signature". Also, I can't get mine to link. :( KΦΦbes talk 15:22, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Signature Color[edit]

How do I add in color to the Signature Text? Assassin-tango-icon-20.pngMaster FastAssassin-tango-icon-20.png 00:38, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

<span style="font-color:colorgoeshere">text</span>. Calor Talk 00:39, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
The Raw Signatures box is checked and it's not working: Invalid Raw Signature, check HTML tags. --Assassin-tango-icon-20.pngMaster FastAssassin-tango-icon-20.png 00:51, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Hey there, could you make sure it follows Guild Wars Wiki:Sign your comments please - primarily the number of images you can have, and what the image should be named. --User Pling sig.png Brains12 \ Talk 00:57, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
OK I edited it a little bit is that better? BTW I'm still trying to figure out how to change the color of my name. I have the template in but it's not working. --Master FastFile:DoubleDagger-icon-gray-SMALL.png 01:15, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
The name of the image should be something like "User Master Fast sig.png" - see the image use policy for more info about that. As for the colour, use <span style="color:#000000">Master Fast</span> to get Master Fast. Although you're better off using a more distinct colour to make it stand out in comparison to the discussion text. --User Pling sig.png Brains12 \ Talk 01:24, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Customizing your signature[edit]

Would it help to put a useful step by step guide like this in the customizing your signature section? From what I have seen this question is asked alot and for wiki noobs such as myself it doesn't really tell you anywhere in this article or GWW:SIGN--User Zen Sig.png Zen 00:27, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Hmm? This article includes that information, albeit in paragraph form rather than just a bulleted list: "A registered user can customize his or her signature by going to Special:Preferences and changing the "Nickname" field. If you want to use a more complex signature [...] you can check the "Raw signatures (without automatic link)" checkbox in your preferences. Just fill the "Nickname" field with your desired signature, exactly as you want it to be substituted. " --Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 14:29, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

"Due to the above, the image you use must be uniquely yours and used by you alone. Upload it under the appropriate name (e.g. Image:User Example sig.png as the signature image of User:Example). See GWW:IMAGE for more details on user images. When uploading, also add user image to the image's description."
Yes. Yes, it should. Vili User talk:Vili 18:51, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

How do I get got font for my name? I see tons of people with unique letters and stuff.

Sig[edit]

I have a couple of questions with signatures. How do I make my sig appear with a talk box? How do I make my signature with colors and how do I post a pic in the sig? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Drug (talk).

I think that is all explained pretty well in the help article. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn/talk 23:10, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

I still dont quite understad it iv'e done what it says but when I sign the sigs the pic does'nt appear and I cant get the talk box to appear ether--DrugUser Drug Image-User Drug sig.png 23:35, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Hmm I think it works now--DrugUser Drug Image-User Drug sig.png 23:45, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

You've rather muddled the image name, making it much longer than it needs to be, but it is working. If you wish a specific link for your talk page just add <small>talk</small> though it's more common to just redirect the image to your talk page. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn/talk 23:50, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Add the following to your Signature Field in your Preferences and make sure to have the Raw Signature Option Checked. Code: <font color="black">Unending</font><font color="red">fear</font> . Then Save the Changes and it should work ;) --SilentStorm Talk to me 16:01, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

A little help[edit]

Im having trouble getting my Sig to work. I would like it to say "Flaming Hot Chilli" in red. Any help would be greatly apreciated ^.^ Flaming hot chilli 09:14, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Put this into your signature and check "Raw Signatures":
<font color = red>Flaming Hot Chili</font>
That should work. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 15:55, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
I copied that into the Signatures box and enabled raw signatures but it only comes up with "Invalid Raw Signature. Chech HTML tags". On the right is what it looks like. <font color = red>Flaming Hot Chili</font> 00:46, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Try <span style="color:red;">Flaming Hot Chilli</span> that should look like Flaming Hot Chilli --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 00:49, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks heaps! It looks great ^.^ Flaming Hot Chilli 01:08, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Coding Inept[edit]

I'm aware I'm terrible at coding, but I can get the same line of code to work elsewhere (like a talk page) but when I put it in my signature it just stays in the coding form. At first I thought "Maybe I need to set it to raw?" but it says that I can't so I'm assuming that's not the answer. I've been trying to get this "User Bathory Spirit to Flesh.jpgBathory talk " but it never works when I put it in the Signature box. I know I messed up somewhere, but I can't figure out where. >.< Bathory 04:12, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Did you tick the Raw signatures (without automatic link) box just below the signature box in your preferences? Nevermind I don't read too well at this time of night. --Kakarot Talk 04:15, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Yeah. I'm pretty sure I need to use it - but it's saying it's invalid. Any idea why? <font color=#C0C0C0>Bathory</font><small><font color=#808080> talk </font></small> 04:19, 12 May 2009 (UTC) See? xD That's what happens... Why is it all crazy? Bathory 04:22, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Use <span style="color:#C0C0C0;"> instead of font tags. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 04:26, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Like this? Still won't let me use Raw signatures... :( <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">Bathory</span><small><span style="color:#808080;"> talk </font></small> 04:41, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Alright. I copied Vili's signature so it would let me change it to raw. xP Once it was already in raw it let me use the coding I wanted. So. :D Thanks. Even though I'm still not really sure what was wrong and why it wouldn't let me change to raw... User Bathory Spirit to Flesh.jpg Bathory talk 18:25, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Help plz[edit]

I need some help here... i want my signature to be "Jrhsk8" and then a space and after that space a picture i drew up on paint, its 19x19 pixels, but idk where and how to save it onto the wiki or something if thats what i have to do. i also want the "Jrhsk8" text to be orange. plz tell me what to enter in the signature box under preferences. --Jrhsk8 06:22, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Need some help[edit]

Hi, I'm completely new to this. I've just been using the default signature for a while now, but I really want to have "Maskeus" in italic, dark blue letters, with the skill Icon for Illusionary Weaponry on the left and Vapor Blade on the right. Can anybody help me with this? Maskeus 17:13, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

I believe you are only allowed to have a single image in your signature, which you must first upload as a separate image (redirecting to either your user page or talk page). As for the color and italics, use <font color="darkblue">Maskeus</font>. -~=Sparky User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (talk) 18:32, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah you're only allowed one image. --User Oneshot O.JPGneshot 18:40, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
Thank you, Sparky. I could have sworn I've seen people with more than one, but thanks. I'd like the icon for Backfire At the right of my signature. Do you have any idea how to go about resizing/uploading one? Maskeus 16:10, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
Download the image, then upload it here: , then just put the code in your signature with |19px at the end (resulting in ). -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 16:18, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Thank you very much! I had some difficulty uploading, I had to change it to jpeg to get it to work, i figured out from another post how to make it bold. Thanks very much ^^ MaskeusUser Maskeus sig.jpeg 19:50, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
