The name of the image should be something like "User Master Fast sig.png" - see the image use policy for more info about that. As for the colour, use [[User:Master Fast|<span style="color:#000000">Master Fast</span>]] to get Master Fast. Although you're better off using a more distinct colour to make it stand out in comparison to the discussion text. -- Brains12 \ Talk 01:24, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Customizing your signature

Would it help to put a useful step by step guide like this in the customizing your signature section? From what I have seen this question is asked alot and for wiki noobs such as myself it doesn't really tell you anywhere in this article or GWW:SIGN-- Zen 00:27, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

This article includes that information, albeit in paragraph form rather than just a bulleted list: "A registered user can customize his or her signature by going to Special:Preferences and changing the "Nickname" field. If you want to use a more complex signature [...] you can check the "Raw signatures (without automatic link)" checkbox in your preferences. You've rather muddled the image name, making it much longer than it needs to be, but it is working. If you wish a specific link for your talk page just add <small>[[User talk:Drug|''talk'']]</small> though it's more common to just redirect the image to your talk page. -- Wyn/talk 23:50, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Add the following to your Signature Field in your Preferences and make sure to have the Raw Signature Option Checked. Code: [[User:Unendingfear|<font color="black">Unending</font>]][[User_talk:Unendingfear|<font color="red">fear</font>]] [[Image:User Unendingfear Crane.jpg|19px]]. Coding Inept

I'm aware I'm terrible at coding, but I can get the same line of code to work elsewhere (like a talk page) but when I put it in my signature it just stays in the coding form. At first I thought "Maybe I need to set it to raw?" but it says that I can't so I'm assuming that's not the answer. I've been trying to get this "Bathory talk " but it never works when I put it in the Signature box. I know I messed up somewhere, but I can't figure out where. >.< Bathory 04:12, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Need some help

Hi, I'm completely new to this. I've just been using the default signature for a while now, but I really want to have "Maskeus" in italic, dark blue letters, with the skill Icon for Illusionary Weaponry on the left and Vapor Blade on the right. I believe you are only allowed to have a single image in your signature, which you must first upload as a separate image (redirecting to either your user page or talk page). As for the color and italics, use [[User:Maskeus|''<font color="darkblue">Maskeus</font>'']]. -~=Sparky (talk) 18:32, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Very Frustrated

I have been working for hours now just trying to get my sig to work. Every time I try to put the code into my preference page, it says Invalid raw signature. Check HTML tags. I have tried so many different things from what I see on here and other websites.
