DWARVEN BOXING?! Huuzah. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:96.31.83.201 (talk).
the comments from both the npcs and the player character are so freaking funny, I really liked this quest --109.192.57.19 22:01, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
dear arenanet, you're doing it right. Love, Max. P.S. if this was a group quest... I think I would climax. Maximillian Greil 22:23, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Love this quest! Am Fah Brawler dropped me a sapphire during the fight where the guy said to get away from his shop! Love it! --Smithy-Star User Smithyben sig icon.png 22:45, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
I had my first black dye drop in six years on here. I cried. I really did. Thanks anet. 71.194.87.164 23:52, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

YO DAWG.[edit]

I HERD YOU LIKE DELIVERY BOYS....71.194.87.164 22:13, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

I've been looking at this page a bit now and it doesn't annoy me that someone wrote crap in allcaps or that it isn't usefull or even that funny, the only thing that really bothers me is that he fucked up a perfectly good meme by writing like instead of liek...--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 15:18, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Extremely baller HM version[edit]

The HM version gives an extra imperial commendation and has a few extra bosses along the way. One has a level 26 bear pet. I was too busy fighting to figure out what they were references to but I am sure their names had some meaning. Mango 23:02, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Not to mention the 847203 purple/gold salvageable drops. Luckily, Anet is super nice and includes a merch along the way for people who don't have enough inventory space or a merch stone.
I couldn't believe all of the gold and purple I was seeing on my first run.--Gungraave 05:05, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
lol this needs to have a repeatable option --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:99.94.172.228 (talk).
Boss names are win. (And you don't need the HM version of the quest, they also appear in the regular version if done in hard mode.) -- Hong 09:51, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

May I also say that this is an awesome place to max survivor? If you use scrolls of slayer's insight, you can maintain it all the way through to the end, using the bosses to recharge the exp bonus. If you get knocked out, button mash your three keys (left mouse button on skill 8 and number 8 and number 9 (which should have 8 binded to it)). You can get like 70k+ EXP per run with this method, not to mention the awesome drops. And when you get to the end, abandon, retake it and keep on going until you hit r3.174.115.128.216 06:16, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Lol, I did this quest in Hard Mode without realising it... I was like: Why is this quest so hard? Only when I finished it did I realise I did it on Hard Mode XD [[Xzabre]] 19:01, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Imperial Commendation bug?[edit]

Shouldn't it be a Ministriel Commendation? 68.238.192.55 01:08, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

No. All three of Lei Jeng's quests give Imperial Commendation. Konig/talk 01:27, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Locked skills?[edit]

Are all your skills (except for Falken Fire Punch) supposed to be locked if you do not have GW:EN? I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but it seems quite unfair. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.226.114.188 (talk).

Sounds like a bug. Konig/talk 01:43, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
I've had the same problem. I've posted it on the GW support forum. 174.0.63.227 03:18, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
They should be able to fix it easily enough I think; Chances are the brawling skills are denoted as EotN skills in the coding, but as you can't access any Dwarven Boxing stages where you would get the skills without being in EotN areas (or here), they'd probably be no harm in Anet switching their classification over to "Core" skills, so that characters from any campaign could use them (because they'd still need to be in an EotN area or here to get them equipped to their skillbar anyway). --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:96.31.83.201 (talk).

Requirement[edit]

I changed the "Preceded by" to Cleansing Bukdek Byway. That's the only task I've done so far, and both this as well as Light My Fire are available. -- Ralmon -- 04:34, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Stuck Courier[edit]

Falken goes down in a fight. I decided to run ahead and take out two guys about half way too Kaineng Center. After the fight, Falken gets up and doesn't move?.--Gungraave 05:20, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

he wont move till all groups are dead, guess a group that was meant to spawn didn't or u were out of ranger to trigger the spawn --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:99.94.172.228 (talk).

Brass Knuckles[edit]

First part of the walkthrough says "You must have done one of the Dwarven Brawling quests in Eye of the North to obtain a set of Brass Knuckles. " but I didn't have a set in my inventory and he gave me a pair when I first spoke with him so I think that note can be removed.

Going AFK[edit]

Anyone notice that you could almost let Falken finish the quest himself? He resurrects automatically after dying, even if there's still enemies around, and he does enough damage that it doesn't all get healed away. I let him fight a mob of 3 JBs while I was merching stuff, and he killed one of them before I was done. This was in the HM version of the quest too. -- Hong 14:52, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

It may be possible to go afk and let him finish, but why would you want to the quest is so fun :) Tallons 14:58, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Not it in HM it isn't, it just annoying. I enjoyed it in normal mode though. Ramei Arashi 03:13, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

Repeatable[edit]

This Quest ABSOLUTLY needs to be made repeatable. It's the best solo quest in ALL of GW and maybe one of the best quests in general. I had to abandon this quest (HM version) several times before getting the reward, just so I could do it over again and again! Note to NC, "You got this quest so right, its just the next level sh1t! I hope you have some more of this in line for us with the rest of WoC.". User Tytan Crow Crow.jpg Titan Crow 19:02, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

I got 6 golds from this one quest ._. -- Magamdy 13:21, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
7 here - was doing it in Hm to record some boss skills though :D --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 21:58, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

Trivia[edit]

Is it just me or is the special skill a refrence to captain falken's FALCO...PUNCH thing. even his name suggests that AboveAverageJoe 00:27, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

I was thinking the same thing. Also notice when you use the skill, your character says:"<Character name> ..... PUNCH!".
Exacly. plus, he has the pretty much the same name. best quest in the game in my opinion, so funny! AboveAverageJoe File:User AboveAverageJoe Dragon Slash.jpg 01:24, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

There's also an old PlayStation game called Courier Crisis, of which there are a few videos on YouTube... I'm not adding this to the article but I think it's entirely possible that the quest name is a reference. Of course, in case the phrase has seen wider use, it's more likely it's not a reference to the game. Frustraatio 19:05, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Survivor[edit]

Someone should add to the notes that this quest is extremely effective in gaining EXP. In one run (with two Lightbringer scrolls), I get just under 33,000 EXP. In one hour of repetition, ~135,000 EXP. And this is only in normal mode. Not to mention the black dye, three sapphires, and innumerable golds that dropped. Link_gorro 17:44, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

Non-repeatable :P Go back to Kilroy my friend! 12:09, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
Abandon and retake. :P Konig/talk 19:43, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Removing Hard Mode info about Foes and Bosses?[edit]

I just removed the info about the Hard Mode stuff as it's covered on the Cantha Courier Crisis (Hard mode) page but it was reverted back again. The revert note didn't make any sence to me and I can't understand why it was reverted. If someone can tell me why it should remain on the page then thats cool and I'll leave it well alone but otherwise im going to revert it back again. Or if you see this Mora, could you explain your revert note in a little more detail. Cheers ; ) User Tytan Crow Crow.jpg Titan Crow 14:33, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Cantha Courier Crisis (Hard mode) refers to the HM quest, meaning it requires completion in hard mode to receive the reward. Just the basic Cantha Courier Crisis (this page) can be done in both normal mode and hard mode and you will still receive the reward either way. But if you do this version in hard mode, the bosses do appear. Mora 14:43, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
Ahh ha! Ok, that make perfect sence. Sorry about the confusion. User Tytan Crow Crow.jpg Titan Crow 14:46, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Tai Soon[edit]

Am I the only one who thinks Tai Soon should have been a Ranger with a tiger pet? Seeing as how he's named after Tyson, it would have been hilarious. Ailina 22:40, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Possible reference?[edit]

In the line how hard can this city be to navigate anyway, could it be a reference to the fact that a lot (from my personal knowledge it at least seems a lot) of players seem to get lost in Kaineng City?--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 15:40, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

I would not be supprised if it did, that place is about as much as a maze as Diessa Lowlands. Then again people often get lost in about any big city even if they live in it so it can be a general reference to that as well. Da Mystic Reaper 16:03, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
That was actually my first thought for what it meant. There are other cities in GW which people don't get confused in, but a lot of players do in Kaineng. Konig/talk 17:32, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

Drops[edit]

I suspect the earlier comments about drops are a bit exaggerated or at least the height of sarcastic humour. I've just completed the quest for the first time, albeit in NM, and received zilch, nada, nothing, no drops, not even a single gold coin. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.141.158.161 (talk).

Do it in hard mode. (Either the normal mode quest in HM, or the HM quest.) You'll get quite a bit of stuff. -- Hong 15:17, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
If Falken gets credit for the kill, you won't get any drops (not even gold). Near as I can tell, even if Falken is dead (so not able to get credit), you might only find foes dropping something 50-60% of the time (I haven't done enough runs to be sure, so the rate might be much better or worse than 50%, but it's certainly much less than 100%). – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 17:09, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Nope, TEF is wrong (again). I just tested this (to see how aggravating it would be to let Falken do all the killing (in case you are a very risk-averse survivor-candidate) and... you can get drops as long as you are within the aggro bubble (that's also the requirement for gaining xp). As it turns out, it's very annoying, so I didn't try to finish. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:05, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Where's the skillbar?[edit]

Where's the skillbar the player will have during the quest? It should be documented. --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 12:56, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
