War in Kryta is sort of a "prelude" to this, leading up to some larger content during the event, so it needs to be mentioned. The timing of its release should have been enough of a DUH, of course they're connected. Rose Of Kali 12:04, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

"Guild Wars Beyond" and The War in Kryta are not exclusive pieces of the anniversary and birthday celebration. They started the viral campaign and insertion of some ingame changes as a lead-in and build-up for the anniversary as well though, and will most likely begin any player involvement during the event. However, we've been informed that the War/GWB will continue on now past the event with periodic content additions to tell the story of events and characters to help bridge the gap between GW and GW2. Mention of these things will probably be part of the official announcement for the event when they put it up. Make mini pet not "so" Random

Just a thought... maybe the 5th yr minis should include a higher percentage increase to those idividuals who have supported (spent money)on GW. Include a mathmatical chance increase in aquiring a Green mini for those who have all special codes on thier accounts (ie: wings, coll ed, costumes, storage panes, style changes, bonus preorder codes). I know its kinda of riduculos.. but in the 5 yrs I have supported GW... none of my minis have been green. In addition there are not many of us around that are still with GW since the BETA test weekend. Like I said just a thought. When you spent money, you got items, you bought the game, you got the game, you spent on costumes then you got the costumes, why do you think you should have the right to double dip? You can increase the percentage yourself by creating new characters. If you don't want to buy a new char slot, delete and reroll a character (mules are good choices). But really, just trade your spares with others. You're bound to miss some miniatures, which can be a pain, but unless you count power-trading, they will not effect your gameplay experience. That doesn't mean it's jackpot getting one of the coveted gold or green ones instead of cheap white ones ...

Since the game came out on April 28th, 2005, with pre-order customers getting in just one day early, and all the beta characters having been wiped, won't this actually be starting on the 27th? Yes, "free to play" means it's not like most other MMOs out there, which charge you $120-$180/year in monthly fees ON TOP of what you pay for the games and expansions and other upgrades. The War in Kryta is part of Guild Wars Beyond, not something independently for the anniversary event. Yes, players have been assuming involved content would/will start during this event because of the virals and ingame changes happening, but I don't believe it was specifically said to be, although that may be the intention. Even if it is, it's more of an overlap or 'beginning' anyway as GWB is an ongoing series that's going to lead up to GW2. What is expected? The anniversary event is what it has been. Ridiculous Lag

Anyone else getting hit with unbelievable lag this farming season?? Can't even farm raptors with the Warrior because of the lag, I go in the cave green dot at around 120 ping, round the raptors up and get spiked with 1080 pings and higher. I'm running on a 20m/b connection, so its not on my end. What is the deal? I know a lot of people are in Rata Sum and that can cause lag, but during St. Patty's event didn't have this problem.
