Despite the paragraphs this page is full of text.. any way to make this page look less cluttered & less wall-of-text like? --Jamie (Talk Page) 16:52, 21 March 2007 (EDT)

Wouldn't it be better to extract the Lore part into a separate sub-page like Ghostly Hero/Lore? Most people are going to be looking to the wiki for reference-type information not the Lore. Vladtheemailer 16:57, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
Hmm, I don't like subpages on mainspace pages... maybe we could move it into a seperate article about Palawa Joko and Turai Ossa or put TOCright in and condense the content a little bit. --Santax 16:59, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
Urmm, couldn't we just have a ===Lore=== section? Randomperson 17:49, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
I'd be ok with a ===Lore=== section as long as its towards the bottom. The main use case for these pages is someone looking up reference material like quests given and locations not reading the Lore...IMHO. Vladtheemailer 17:52, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
A lot of it should be on the Turai Ossa page imo. this page should be a general overview of ghostly heroes. --Lemming64 17:31, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Not all Ghostly Heroes are Turai Ossa, and Turai Ossa has not been always a Ghostly Hero. Many Ghostly Heroes have separate names and are separate Heroes of Tyrian History or Primeval Kings. MithranArkanere 15:05, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
I think most people asume Turai is the only Ghostly Hero. Normally, that'd be what we'd stick with. But if there is lore that says other Ghostly Heroes are different persons, then we should still split this article. Backsword 17:21, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
I don't think so. This article is about the present Ghostly Hero, what he does, what he tries to do, what he's involved in, etc. It should contain a small summary - one or two paragraphs - on who he is and how he came to be. The articles on Devonna, Cynn, Mhenlo etc. are like that while their entire stories are outlined elsewhere. --Talonz User Talonz sig.gif // 21:58, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
There's 2 or more Ghostly Heroes in each Heroes' Ascent match, and during Wintersday 2005 in the Tomb of the Primeval Kings there were four named NPCs using the Ghostly Hero model: King Elswyth, King Kole, King Milius and King Wenslauss, and Elswyth and Milius both explicitly stated that they're fighting in the tournament. -- Gordon Ecker 08:21, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Sword?[edit]

Anyone know what sword the ghostly hero uses? Image:User Scourge Ghostly Hero sword.jpg -- Scourge User Scourge Spade.gif 06:34, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

don't think the name for it was ever stated -FireFox File:Firefoxav.png 21:48, 27 April 2007 (EDT)
Nope, but the Zaishen Warrior in the Heroes' Ascent test carries one. It appears to be a weapon available only to NPC's. --Santax 10:36, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
It's actually an axe (not the chaos axe he may sometimes carry, no, I'm talking about the sword-looking greenish translucent weapon). Try using a weapon spell on him. MithranArkanere 15:04, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
The recently added Eternal Blade has the same skin. -- Gordon Ecker 00:50, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Split[edit]

OK, this definitly needs at least one split. Any opinions on what articles should exist? One or more creature articles? Seperate lore article(s)? A seperate one for the skill? Backsword 14:52, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

It seems pretty obvious. The Ghostly Hero from Halls is generic and stays here. Any reference to the PvE Ghostly can go in the Turai article. Anon
I'd suggest one article for each other with their respective Notes with links: "The Ghostly hero was Turai Ossa in life" and "Turai Ossa later becomes the Ghostly Hero".
The Ghostly Hero main page should be for the concept of 'Ghostly Hero' and for those NPCs named Ghostly Hero. Those NPCs with Ghostly Hero appearance but different names (even if the name is told by them and its not in their Health bar) should have separate pages. Examples of that are the 3 Ghostly Heroes you help in the Crystal Dessert missions. MithranArkanere 20:01, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

(Reset indent) The problem is that we have multiple entities to deal with. A list:

Game functions

  • the Turai Ossa skill.
  • The Ghostly Hero creature (Loc 1)
  • The Ghostly Hero creature (Loc 2)
  • The Ghostly Hero creature (Loc 3)
  • The Turai Ossa model.
  • The Ghostly Hero model.

Lore

  • Turai Ossa, alive
  • Turai Ossa, ghostly hero
  • Lord Victo, alive
  • Lord Victo, ghostly hero
  • Unsung hero, alive
  • Unsung hero, ghostly hero

This is a lot of things, and there are more than three locations with GHs, but an article for each seems too much. Backsword 11:22, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

It seems pretty obvious. Turai Ossa article about the BMP Turai Ossa and any other lore of him while he was alive. In a second section add info about the ghostly Turai. Any ghostly hero which is not specifically mentioned to be Turai or any other person can go here. All ghostly heroes which are named can have their own page and lore about them. SystemisFlawed
That sounds like the simplest solution, for sure. --202.78.149.227 16:54, 9 December 2007 (UTC)Ari User Ari sig.jpg (talk) 18:28, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Great, the only one to provide useful insight is Raptors. What does that say about this wiki? Backsword 10:16, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
i agree for the new split, but i don't know much about the pvp ghostly hero. it could be nice to create pages ghostly hero (turai ossa) and ghostly hero (pvp), and the main ghostly hero page would be a disembiguation (like Shrine if i'm not easy to understand ) lussh 18:41, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Hate to bring up a old topic, but this either needs to get done or remove the split notice. In my opinion, it should be split into Ghostly Hero (Lore) and Ghostly Hero (NPC). Info on Turai should go to Turai Ossa, info on NPC Ghostly Heroes in PvP and missions should go to Ghostly Hero (NPC) - this is stuff like builds, locations, basic dialogue, etc. Ghostly Hero (Lore) would hold things like "who has become a ghostly hero" and "which ghostly hero is who" - mostly would be notes like something stated above, that during the wintersday 2005 event, several NPCs appeared with their own names. This would remove the huuuge block of text on the Ghostly Hero pages, and allow those who wish just the Ghostly Hero for builds/locations - non lore stuff - would get Ghostly Hero (NPC). Just my opinion on an old but no action taken thing. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 03:43, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
I have to agree with you Azazel, this thing has been unresolved for to long. It needs to be taken care of. That split you said sounds like a good idea. Moo 00:00, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Since this article is still set for split due to clutter, I reduced the quote to just the part dealing with the Ghostly Hero since it's all on the Turai Ossa article. That reduced a large amount of the walls of text. For the Dialogue, since now that is considered the "block of text" if there is still people wanting to split the article, I suggest making it expandable/collapsable, which would prevent splitting and keep the article from bring very long. And for lore, anything pertaining to Turai Ossa alive goes to the Turai Ossa article, and anything pertaining to the Ghostly Heroes themselves, if Turai can go here, the others can go to their own page since there wouldn't be anything on them from when they were alive, per se. And if the split is not an issue anymore, then I call for a removal of the split desire. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 07:09, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Don't forget Lord Valodor, Commander Joziah and General Mendoza. We have absolutely no way to know who is the Ghostly Hero in each of the Crystal Desert outposts. So, it must be noted instead that although Turai Ossa became a ghostly hero, not all ghostly heroes are Turai Ossa. The only Ghostly Hero we know for sure is Turai Ossa is the one in The Amnoon Oasis. The rest may be any of the rest, there is no clues saying anything else. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 12:49, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
So, after morethantwo years, this isstill not resolved. At least we seem to agree on spliting ofPvP, so I'll do that.Backsword 15:12, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Actually, we know that the Ghostly Hero in Dunes of Despair is Turai Ossa. General Mendoza specifically says that the player will aid Turai Ossa in infiltrating the temple. The others might or might not be, but the Ghostly Hero / Turai Ossa in Amnoon Oasis says that he will be the guide, and the other two ghosts in Augury Rock both refer to him accompanying the player. Nom 11:14, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Firstly, regarding who is the Ghostly Hero, based on the Prophecies storybook, the Ghostly Hero in all Crystal Desert outposts is Turai Ossa (Amnoon, the three missions, and Tombs) - those seen in Augury Rock mission and that were present during Wintersday 2005 are, obviously, not. Those in HA are unknown for who they are.
Secondly, regarding the split. Is it necessary anymore with Backsword making this page? If I don't get a response in a week or so, I'll just remove the split tag, since it wouldn't be an issue and the issue was, mostly, taken care of. -- Konig/talk 02:53, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure the one in HA is Turai Ossa too. In Amnoon Oasis he explains that he will help you with all the Crystal Desert missions so that when you Ascend he will also gain access to the Hall of Heroes. Which made perfect sense back when HA started from the Tomb of the Primeval Kings. You'd go through the desert missions, then accompany him to the Hall. Now there's a bit of a lore contradition since HA was moved to the Battle Isles and TotPK was corrupted but I assume they didn't want to figure out a way to replace the Hero in HA (or maybe since he already had access he'd just stay there). But I'm certain that originally they were supposed to be the same character. 86.168.228.45 16:31, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Move[edit]

I've tagged the page for a move because "Ghostly Hero" can refer to a number of things. There's the PvE NPC, PvP NPC, the summon, the form and if you want to go further, the Enemy Ghostly Hero and Miniature. ~Celestia 10:38, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Dialogue[edit]

Has he always mentioned margonites and Palawa Joko? Or have his dialogues been adjusted to nightfall content? I don't remember any of these mentions, but maybe thats just me.--87.221.67.42 16:28, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Merge[edit]

Same character. if Gwen in EotN and Pre-Searing should be merged, these two articles should be merged. Relatively similar amounts of content in both cases. horrible | contribs 16:09, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
