Drop Rate

Do they (Hero's) decrease the drop rate? Dose it matter if you have less heros active?----Xtreme 11:59, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

I think they do the same thing henchmen do, but don't quote me on it. -- Tha Reckoning File:User Tha Reckoning Sig2.jpg 20:28, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Note

There are a few skills wont use at all, unless they moment calls for near death experience, and even then they wont use them. Make your Hero Build and Test them out in the Isle of the Nameless by Temple of Balthazar. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.109.112.157 (talk).

Unlocking skills for heroes

So basically on my second account I only have Proph and EotN right now, and when I get any non-core profession hero I am pretty much screwed for skills. Yes some can be unlocked via the Priest, but I will miss out on the majority of key skills. So why even allow us to get these professions if we can't access any of the skills? I have found ways around it by wracking my brain and making very off the wall builds. They work, but not the best. Any suggestions? Nay the One and Only User Nay the One and Only SIG.jpg 23:37, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Succumb to the will of Anet and buy the other campaigns? But seriously, there's really not much to do aside from sticking to the core proffs. --67.240.88.57 23:41, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Other then a rit why would you even use any of the non-core proffesions on heros? Yay Killing Charr talk 00:48, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
I'll pretend I didn't read that :S And yeah eventually I will get the other campaigns for that account, but my original question was, why even offer heroes you can't get skills for? I think they need to make a way to unlock the skills for them somehow. But until then I'll just continue limping by Nay the One and Only User Nay the One and Only SIG.jpg 07:43, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Can You Unlock All Heros?

I was wondering if it was possible to unlock every single hero in all three games and EotN add-on. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.251.107.87 (talk).

Yes. Once you complete the entire game in Nightfall, you can pick up quests to get the other heroes you missed (based on the forks you chose in the storyline). The EotN heroes are pretty straightforward, and there are no "either/or" choices there. There are no heroes in Prophecies or Factions. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 18:01, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Olias comes from a quest that takes place in Prophecies and Zenmail from a quest set in Factions. And there's going to be a new hero, that apparently has something to do with Gwen and Thackery. Ramei Arashi 17:48, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Hero Behavior

I've noticed often times when heroes kite they try to kite in a direction that would aggro more mobs. Was this put in the game on purpose to make the game harder?

I noticed heroes behavior changed since update of February 16, 2012. Many times i flagged heroes out of harm way and some of them just stayed there fighting even if I changed the setting to "avoid combat" so they would stop attacking. heroes didn't do that before that update. going to be a new hero

According to http://www.killtenrats.com/2010/09/20/guild-wars-live-team-interview/ there will be a new hero Ramei Arashi 17:48, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Must be the wrong link, I see nothing about heroes in that interview. Can you post the right one? -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 19:18, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
Fixed. Ramei Arashi 03:00, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
Interesting. "Not what [you] expect." In that case, I refuse to expect a new profession or GOX as a hero.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 05:19, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Maybe they finally figured out how to do the variable profession hero that Razah was originally intended to be. Or, it's some type of enemy/animal... -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 13:57, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
While I'm not holding my breath, I'm fervently hoping for a Sylvari Hero, one which gives us a taste of what the Sylvari will be like in GW2. I'd prefer them to be an Elementalist too, so I can make them an Earth Elementalist to round out my Ele squad (Sousuke = Fire, Zhed = Water, Vekk = Air). - Zaxares 07:52, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
Sylvari don't exist for another 225 years. -- Konig/talk 17:30, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
True, but there's nothing saying that there couldn't have been an 'early prodigy'; the very first Sylvari to be grown from the tree, but the rest of his/her race don't follow for another couple hundred years. Perhaps this first Sylvari was grown to safeguard and protect the tree until the rest of their race was ready to be born, but to protect the secret of their existence, doesn't reveal its presence except to a select few friends (Namely, Ventari and the PC). - Zaxares 04:08, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
The first, the very first, sylvari awoke 25 years prior to GW2. It's been point blank stated. Even if this sylvari didn't reveal itself to others, the developers would know and wouldn't have placed so much emphasis on them being only 25 years old. Ventari clearly would of known and it would of been known to other sylvari, by the time of GoA and GW2 such information would be unnecessary to keep secret. And those don't care much for spoilers to future GW:B content, seeing how GoA practically told Gwen's entire future. -- Konig/talk 05:26, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Not what we would expect..... Hmmmmmm not going to expect it to be professor Yakington. Cause that would be way to cool. And it isn't time for him to be more then decoration (and a pre-searing trader)82.170.196.12 16:25, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
It's got to be a tengu hero. Got to be. Arshay Duskbrow 03:05, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
It's obvious what the new hero is... A combination of Abaddon's fist, rurik's other hand, shiro's left leg, the lich's wings, togo's right leg, the body of a rain beetle, the horns of a gaki, the tail of a devourer, ghostly hero's head with kormir's (lack of) eyes, and will be every profession at the same time. Have fun on photoshop! --'Mai Yi' talk 21:20, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
Change of idea, serious this time. The new hero wil be the Mysterious Assassin. --'Mai Yi' talk 22:39, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

This is going to be awesome!!! With new 8-hero teams I can just leave the game on overnight and have my heroes farm for me! Thanks ANET <3!! Anyway, your new Ruriklichturtle should have bonuses to health and and energy regen...and ooh ooh! Make it use monster skills! Omg I'm so good at thinking of these ideas. Can I work at Anet too? I promise I'll buff heroes to the point you'll never need to turn on All Chat! :3 --SilvenUser Silven sig.jpg 10:11, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for actually making it! It looks amazing! I hope they put it in-game! --'Mai Yi' talk 17:01, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
I hope it's Kilroy. Or Nicholas, when he's done traveling. Or a tengu. Or even that Ruriklichturtle. Just... come on, something interesting. No more damned Elonians... Ifm2181 11:35, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
Two people have called it a "ruriklichturtle". In my description of it (above Neil's picture), I said nothing about turtles. ( Also, don't give Neil all the credit! I thought of it!) --'Mai Yi' talk 20:07, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

WiK points out that some characters on teh mantle side swich, a bit like dinas (if i named him right :P )so maybe the new heros will be one of those big fat peacekeepers Spark-TBa 13:43, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Dinas was a shining blade spy who you (when you first met) thought to be high-ranking white mantle... o_o --NeilUser Neil2250 sig icon6.png 11:31, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Frankly I want a demon as the new hero. The Apostate or Menzies (maybe you could unlock him by completing the fissure?) would be lovely but idk how you'd relate it to the GW-Beyond storyline. Also could someone link me to the bit where they say "its an npc you've been assisting + helping for a while"? Ruriklichturtle needs a seige cannon, tbh. THEN t'would be the greatest hero ever.Bloodstained Boots 13:58, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
But he isn't part turtle! --'Mai Yi' talk 15:35, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
That's not a very good reason to not have a cannon~ Reez 16:26, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Exactly, just add "Siege" to the start. Job done. Bloodstained Boots 16:31, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Just found the new hero... --'Mai Yi' talk 23:17, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

{ri} I'd just like to say: Called it! Can I put that on my CV? ~~000.00.00.00~~ 02:45, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

So the new hero's Keiran Thackeray, can't say I didn't see that coming! But he's a Paragon, that I didn't see! (Or maybe their on about "another" new hero). Now all we need is another three heroes to make a full set of three of a each. One Assasin (think we might get one in the form of Miku), one Ritualist and one Mesmer. User Tytan Crow Crow.jpg Titan Crow 00:44, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Actually, it's quite possible that there will be TWO ritualist heroes coming up, due to Razah's omni-profession status. Something to think about... Derikvyreflame 19:38, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
