Lol 400+ damage flame bursts. What does Anet want from us, to run from ToA for this crap? In 45 minutes I could do the bounty + mission and get a gold coin. Sure, no 10k, but no time wasted trying to get together a group and a runner for this thing. 174.108.82.105 05:04, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

I hurd monks were gud. -- Konig/talk 05:16, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
You're not clever. 174.108.82.105 05:27, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
Oh really? (And for good measure)-- Konig/talk 05:52, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
It's pretty clear you're just spouting nonsensical ways to do things. If you'd actually done the quest, you'd realize what the issue is. Recommending junk makes it obvious you haven't even tried it. 174.108.82.105 17:21, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
Soutl twist + shelter makes those flame bursts pretty manageable. I had an air ele, a healing monk, SoS rit, and ST rit. It was challenging, and Adelbern's allies seem to die in the first wave no matter what you do, but it's definitely doable with 3 heroes. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 17:34, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
I believe it's also possible to go around (easiest heading from Serenity Temple to catch that rez shrine to the south) and you'll be able to kill 3 Armageddon Lords without ever making Adelbern spawn - the 4th can be attacked as Adelbern spawns and heads to it, so if you're good you may kill most of its group before Adelbern's group aggros, and then you just have one group with Adelbern. -- Konig/talk 17:55, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
I appreciate the actual help now. Just finished it a bit before re-reading this discussion page, as we managed it with 3 real players and a smite hero. Much simpler with other players. No gimmicks or anything, just an SoS necro, a simple monk, a pious renewal derv, and a smite hero. Tryptophan does more good making charr hunters unable to nuke effectively than it does slowing the armageddon lords. 174.108.82.105 18:21, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Tips?[edit]

Any tips for a warrior? I've tried roughly 30 times over the space of 4 hours and each one fucks up at the moment... seems best success rate so far is with Technobabble on the player bar to daze the nuker charr/titan lords. According to a friend the npcs that aren't the king are going to die anyway (most initial spawns will have at least one Flame Wielder - resulting in a very quick wipe of the monk npc and two warriors). I tried going around the back but makes fuckall difference and wastes half an hour getting there -.- --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 16:57, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

Use a Paragon =P. User Anvil God AsuraSignature.jpgAnvi God zzz... 20:19, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
I'd suggest going /Me with a Mantra of Frost and bringing a rit/ranger SoS with Winter (Armor of Unfeeling will probably help the rit) - for the reasons stated on the page (cold damage from NPCs). Except for the Rt/R hero, have everyone else go /Me with Mantra of Frost (helps with energy and defense!). I'd also suggest leaving from Serenity Temple when heading around back (it's faster). I'd also suggest lots and lots of party-wide dp removal... @ the "perhaps too challenging" in the summary you had - these quests were made for the hard-core among hard-core folks, made to be non-walk-in-the-park even with a conset (unlike everything else). Also purely optional (shame Anet doesn't account for the fact that there's dozens of non-hardcore completionists). -- Konig/talk 20:10, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
Since when do "challenging HM quests" include quests that are impossible unless you are the most hard core of hard core? And for that kind of a reward? "Its for the challenge dur dur dur" no.... -- Magamdy 16:15, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm telling you, a pro emo bonder does the job, make sure to spread out so titan smash doesnt strip whole party
Use spirits. Managed to get them done with 3 Spirit Heroes (an SoS, a Soul Twisting, and a Signet of Ghostly Might), no cons, no summoning stones. It doesn't matter what profession you're playing if you're doing that, to be honest. Was almost frustrating having it go so smoothly after doing every other possible combination of things before that and wasting more than an hour failing repeatedly. 99.237.250.170 20:36, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

The long way...[edit]

As a warrior, I was having some success with 3x Rt Heroes (SoS/resto, SoGM/resto, ST) but kept failing on the 4th/5th group. After about six tried I though I'd just guarantee my success with long journey from ToA. It took 45 minutes to get to Yaks bend, and two hours to reach and finish the quest. As we came upwards, the back route was just as quick and the Titans dropped like flies. If you've already spent an hour failing, this might be the tactic to guarantee success (Ebon Standard of +armour also helps though) Summit Axe.png St Lucretia 16:57, 20 October 2011 (UTC)

I'm really impressed that you had the patience to go from ToA :D I'm going to try your technique now :) --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 17:16, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
LMAO. so easy with 7 heroes :D takes about 50 minutes to get upto yaks, and a further 40 to reach the eastern frontier.
However, a note of caution with the back route technique: after killing the closest boss group to the back route entrance, a group of titans will move towards the spot where adelbern goes to. Luckily adelbern doesn't move to that spot yet - so you can use a hero to get the aggro of the titan group(s) [I double aggroed titan groups and still won.. ] and pull them towards you. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 21:09, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
Seeing how much time I spended failing doing it with 4 man I decided to try it from ToA instead too, the running took less long then I expected. Only problem was that I was so stupid to have a wanted+other titan quests in my log so getting through kryta was a bit slow. But the quest itself was no problem. 8 man really makes this quest easy --Kilaa1000 21:10, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Tried doing this from ToA and King Adelbern died! >.<

The Last Day Dawns HM[edit]

Builds are caster oriented, human is heavy on PvE skills.

X/Me *Mantra of Frost Mantra of Frost *Arcane Echo Arcane Echo*Echo Echo *Pain Inverter Pain Inverter *Technobabble Technobabble *Ether Signet Ether Signet, the other two are optional but I'd recommend Tryptophan Signet Tryptophan Signet for one slot

  • Hero 1 UA Mo/Me; OwUUMsG/E4OmAGyd7icX9HSEEAA
  • Hero 2 Prot Mo/R; OwIT8Woi1BgMGnJrk6R3x5cdAA
  • Hero 3 SoS Rt/Me; OAWjAmiMZSOTXTlTnNdiYgIACAA
  • note: Attributes haven't been maximized

Make sure you have Rebel Yell activated (show the title to activate), one conset and HP/armor buffs for caster (DP removal is also recommended if a pull gets screwed up).

How To[edit]

  • 1. From Frontier Gate, head north then west to pick up the Holy Blessing, kill the two groups, don't head inside the yellow circle (map key).
  • 2. Clear the route all the way around up to the back of where the spawns are.
  • 3. View the map key carefully on the main page for the quest itself.
  • 4. Pull the right side Charr, kill off the closest Armageddon Lords (left to right) and continue doing so.
  • 5. If you fail killing an activated group it will head towards the Adelbern fight (the burnt ring) and wait there.
  • 6. Pull any missed Armageddon Lords from the bridge left of the position of the first of the back Armageddon lord, I recommend doing so with the SoS (make sure you have a longbow) and place spirits on route out - so that the group carry aggro from spirit to spirit to you and you don't risk the hero dying.
  • 7. Kill off any charr left to be a 100% safe if you want from the same position.
  • 8. Run in and meet Adelbern & Co. - claim the rewards.
