I have a map of this mission. But I couldn't decide whether it was particularly useful. I can put it up on request. --Aspectacle 04:44, 5 March 2007 (EST)

When I was in this mission some guy called the Great Zehtuka brutally murdered all the nobles during my drinking contest, and I had to attack him. Before he died he went friendly, and then talks to me as if nothing has happened and there isn't a huge pile of corpses around him... I thought it was a bit bizarre, possibly I took his drink but killing everyone at the party is a bit extreme.

The Great Zehtuka does go postal when you steal his drink, usually the guards and guests subdue him before he kills anyone though. - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 15:18, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Standard/Expert condition changed[edit]

3 of 5 festivities = Standard

The cutoff between Standard and Expert's Rewards has been changed: 3 festivities is now Standard Reward. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 22:01, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

What the hell? This stupid mime does an emote where he waves his hand beside his head and i dont know what it is, and theres one where it looks like hes agreeing, but its not /agree 24.141.45.72 15:24, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah I had problems with him too, but I made it somehow... Try looking in your guild wars manual.--Master of darkness 21:35, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

I just used the emote page, and a bit of trial and error. Calor (t) 21:37, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
I got kinda lucky on him...he uses Male Ranger Emotes, and well...I'm a male ranger >.< . So I guess it worked out for the better Wandering Traveler 15:49, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

sorta late on a response but that emote is probably /scare 72.183.210.160 06:59, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

"waves his hands beside his head" is actually the /taunt emote. Not quite sure what you're referring to with the other though. RandwulfX 16:44, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Hard mode[edit]

Does this mission actually get any harder in Hard mode? --Burning Freebies 17:08, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

considering how you'rea all alone with only a few level 20 gaurds to take on a bunch of much higher level skree, I'd assume yes. I'd assume the Pawala joko fight is also a bit tougher. --User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 17:10, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Negative. Replying to this on my Laptop while JUST doing this quest in both NM and HM in quick succession, on my actual computer. The fight with Palawa is no different. The screes are 4 levels higher, but for the most part, if you help the guards along the way, they are still just as easy.- VanguardUser-VanguardAvatar.PNG 00:40, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
I found that Hm mission is actually easier or at least just as easy when fighting the skrees. All nobles are lvl 20 and can tank out quite some damage together. All you need to do yourself is lead the guards and stay alive... 82.176.163.30 17:54, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Hard mode is indeed easier then normal mode. You can just wait till the guards take out the harpies. you only have to make them fight each other, since 1 group of harpies kill the guards. Just lure some guards to them, and they will take them out. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.121.213.138 (talk • contribs) at 14:05, 22 May 2008 (UTC).

Bug?[edit]

I am not sure whether or not it is a bug, or if it is just my computer. But the mime in the mission is not working properly for me. He will sometimes do several emotes then stop and do nothing, then after 3 to 4 seconds he gives the standard insult and you have to try again. Or he will sometimes not do anything at all after you speak to him. I have tried doing it repeatedly after rebooting, waiting a day, or starting the mission over and I get the same thing everytime. I heard tell that it may be that I have a corrupt dat file which I downloaded and used the image command, and it is still not working. Anyone know what this is? Or had the same problem? Because I won't be able to finish my Guardian title unless I can figure out what the problem is. --Bambeasties' Talk page Bambeastie 27 May 2008

I'm getting this problem too right now. And I just went and made a pvp Male Ranger to check the animations and it doesn't seem to be my .dat file since I can use all the animations with the pvp character, and they work fine there. Lumo still doesn't work right. The only explaination that seems to fit, is that Lumo has to load up the animations for some reason, since animations have started showing up for me after i've been trying for a while. So I'm hoping if I'm patient enough I'll get a set of 10 I can do. But this seems more like bugged behavior than a .dat file being corrupted. Yukiko User Yukiko Sig.png 04:11, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Same problem here. Silmarilen 21 april 2009
Im having a similar problem, he keeps doing an emote that i know what is, i do it, and then he says i fail C4K3 User C4K3 Signature.jpg Talk 20:15, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
You may have tried this before, but you could try using the -repair command line argument. It might help. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cerulean Seal (talk • contribs) at 22:46, 13 July 2009 (UTC).
The mime just stands there looking at me, not moving at all, then I get the standard fail message from him. sometimes he will do one or two emotes, then just stand there doing nothing, and it fails me again. Sonyareanne 00:25, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

shadow steps[edit]

should it be noted that for cartographer you can bring shadow steps like Return and Death's Retreat to get by the guards? I did this today; it was fun. =D Invincible RogueUser Invincible Rogue siggyiggywiggy.gif 06:26, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Don't forget ebon escape, for those who don't have access to assassins :P
Sry for the late post, but you don't actually need any skills for that, all you need is to wait for the skree to arrive, and then move close to the guards and they run to get the skree -> path to freedom Jeree95 17:33, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Moved from the article page[edit]

I found this on the bottom of the main page and it was unsigned. Here's copy and paste - "---- This vase remains in my inventory after the cinematic, after the skree attack, and after visiting the prince and his "split" from his palace after the attempt on my character's life during the actors play. Does the rare antique Elonian vase have value afterward at some point?" – User Barinthus Magical Compass.png Barinthus 15:28, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Trivia?[edit]

Lumo the Mime says: "I have lost?! Impossible! I feel like half the mime I used to be. Enjoy your success while it lasts, for it will never happen again." Maybe a reference to The Beatles classic entitled "Yesterday", part of the song: "I feel like half the man I used to be". Eh, just a thought. KΦΦbes talk 08:16, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Put that in, it could be worth something. Flaming Hot Chilli 06:19, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
The accept line "You're going down, silent clown." reminded me of Happy Gilmore when Happy said to the clown hole at the mini-golf course after it spits out his ball "You're gonna die, clown!" SardaukarUser Sardaukar sig.png 13:43, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Worth Mentioning?[edit]

Mission[edit]

One of my favorite missions or quest in Guild Wars, so funny and entertaining to do. Much better than fetch quests, it's just different and refreshing. Justgetmein 12:25, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Im glad Anet put this mission in. Each campaign should have a "Gimick" mission just like this to lighten up the story a bit more. Alot better than simply just step-kill-heal over and over again. Flaming Hot Chilli 06:18, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
I had a good laugh during the cinematics of this mission. "Okay..NOW panic!" But yeah, refreshing indeed. =) 174.73.102.163 02:00, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Cinematic[edit]

I noticed while completing this mission on my ranger that during the cinematic (while fighting harpies) my character actually built adrenaline. Is this normal? If so, it could be useful for warriors or paragons doing this mission (gained 9 strikes without skipping). 158.123.160.40 14:24, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Glitched Mime[edit]

Is anyone else having trouble getting the masters on this because the mime is glitched leaping forward, so you can't tell what emotes he's doing? 68.55.14.167 17:26, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I am too. Please leave your feedback at http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/ArenaNet_talk:Quest_bugs#Tihark_Orchard so the issue will be noticed and hopefully fixed. --SkyHiRider 22:18, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Strange... did you have texmod open or anything? Are you sure it was because of that? Spotina Talk 01:56, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Yet another bug[edit]

I could easily bypass the guards, without using any skills. Problem is that I could not get out, so I had to resign. Made some printscreens ofcourse haha. [1]

6/5[edit]

I once acidentally gave 5 plat to the minister and also gave the vase, and in the end I had completed 6/5 festivities... 82.95.65.117 12:17, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

This is an easy way to avoid the mime if he is giving you troubles. I tried the same approach, but without completing the mime task. 5/5 for Masters - just costs you the 5k...--PackerFanDoug 23:47, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
I have lot's of discussions out this, some people say it is cheating your way to the bonus. But I also heard people breaking a keyboard out of anger over the mime and not knowing bout the 5k bribe. Anet clearly designed it this way, so shouldn't this be listed in the bonus area as an alternative solution?82.170.196.12 04:23, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
It's not any more (or less) cheating than going the back way in Gyala, skipping the second shrine in Blood Washes Blood, or faking out the Doppelganger. If the method is reliable, go ahead and list it. (I'm not convinced ANet designed the mission to allow credit for 6 festivities, but we don't have to decide one way or the other.)  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 08:36, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
added this info to the master section and added a note bout the 6/5 activity's. I'm not very good at editing wiki's so if you can do better, pls be my guest82.170.196.12 15:10, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Summons[edit]

Trivia[edit]

If you talk to a Vabbi Guard during this mission, one of the responses is "Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking." Which is a reference to Airplane! the movie. I don't know how to put that into wiki speak but if someone else is interested maybe that could be added to the article. I'm 99% sure that is a reference since it is the same wording as in the movie. 66.66.155.13 01:40, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

I wonder if it may be more appropriate to add this to the dialogue section for the various Vabbi Guards, noting that it is unique to this mission (like the Dzagonur Bastion diagloue) --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 21:26, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

Possible [sic][edit]

Tahlkora: "I have made my own arrangements, Father." Prince Mehtu the Wise: "I see that you have. We will speak of this,[sic] later." Not 100% sure, because when he does say it he says it without a pause and does not even use the comma in any form or way. Unless I'm going crazy, that is a grammatical error.Menzies 20:44, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Are you saying that the subtitles don't match the speech in the cinematic? That's more of an anomaly than a [sic] (that's not unusual in the subtitle business). It's entirely reasonable, in typing speech, to put a comma in front of the later. As you note, it's a convention for indicating a pause that lasts in between We will speak of this later and We will speak of this. Later. (The purple version is also vaguely ambiguous, as it could mean cya later as opposed to following up later. The existing text seems easier to read.)Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:21, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Mime Dual[edit]

Just a suggestion... how about we get to strangle this SOB to death? Who likes mimes, anyway? Nobody? See; we need an option to murder him! Ten times we need to match him?
