There is a Duplicate character of the similar name "Matthias Rethan", my popular argonian character amoung the Elder Scrolls roleplaying games. This character was originally designed as my defense against nightmares as a child. While he's certainly evolved from that role, he continues that same function today. There is an entire Character concept based around him.
