Yay Killing Charr was born in a rural area of the Echovald Forest, where his closest friends were the Wallows, and tigers of the woods. He always knew he wanted to be a Monk, so that he could heal the sick animals, and take care of his parents when they became older. However, this entire plan changed when his family was attacked by a group of wardens, lead by the Warden of Saprophytes. Charr's parents instructed him to hide beside the Rejeka River, and said that they would be down with him soon; They never came. From that moment forward, Yay Killing Charr no longer wanted to heal: he wanted to destroy. He vowed vengence against the wardens, and spent the next three years living in solitude; all the while perfecting his Elementalist skills. Then he went on a journey across the Echolvald Forest, looking for the wardens that had killed his parents. When he found them hiding in Ferndale, he let out all his rage, unleasing storms of fire and ice upon them, until there were no wardens left standing. Then, he journeyed back to House Zu Heltzer to rest. However, now that he had extracted his revenge he was no longer blinded by rage, and decided to travel to Shing Jea Monastery to train with the great Master Togo and learn the ways of an elementalist.
