To have that nice box at the top is no problems, but we should not apply formatting to the comments. But why don't you use the standard wiki link syntax ([[User talk:Alien|a link]]) when you want to link internal pages. For example your handy link section looks a bit ugly because of this and some users may get in trouble because of absolute urls (some users use www.wiki.guildwars.com as the wiki address). For things where you need external urls (for example edit links) you can also use the following syntax: [{{fullurl:User talk:Alien|action=edit&section=new}} click here to add a new section] - so nobody gets a problem. poke | talk 13:23, 26 July 2007 (UTC) aaah I see, sorry about that, I didnt realise it could cause people problems because of the way I had done it. I was aware of the standard way of linking I just preferred to do links using a url on my userpage. hehe I know fussy. ^^ but yeah sure ill start changing them. So the question is how do i reply to someone mid page?Like on izzy's page underpowered/overpowered skills, how do i reply to a skill that is not at the bottom, do i just edit and add my post where that skill is being talked about? But remember to add your comment underneath all the other comments that have been said on that particular skill so that the page can be left in a readable order. hope I helped :) --Alien 16:44, 29 July 2007 (UTC) How can I get... How can I get one of those scrollbar boxes that you have on your Userpage? I would like to have one so I can add it to my page and place the titles I've achieved in the scroll, to save space and to keep it looking less-cluttered. I am asking here cause I saw it on your page, and saw the text at the bottom commenting upon contacting you if I was to want a portion or part of your page. Neithan Diniem 00:14, 1 August 2007 (UTC) Hi Neithan, I would love to help you implement a scrollbar to your page! :) Although as much as I know how to use various bits of code I am rubish at explaining it. ^^ I have always learnt my bits of code by looking at how other people did theirs. So what I would suggest is that either you take a look at my links section here and see if you can work it out yourself or alternitavly you could always make your titles section and I could try to do my best to implement the scroll bar for you. --Alien 14:10, 1 August 2007 (UTC) Well, I got the scrollbars to work the way I wanted em'. Im thinking I may want to place them in the middle of each of my character profiles, to fill the gap in, as it were. Heres a list of them: Warrior, Monk, Ranger, Necromancer, Elemantalist, Mesmer, Ritualist, Assassin, Paragon and Dervish Is there a way to place them in the center of my character profiles without it pushing the text or other pictures around? Like maybe setting it as a background image of some sort? You said some of my Images were incorrectly named and were violating one of the rules. Could you please tell me which Images those specifically are? I would like to fix them as soon as possible. The policy is that all user images must be uploaded under the correct naming, which is <User Username Imagename> so for example if I was to upload an image called "My Monk" I would upload it under the name of "User Alien My Monk". If you still have any problems on the subject either just contact me back or have a read of Guild Wars Wiki:Image use. :) --Alien 22:10, 2 August 2007 (UTC) Ill get right on it. But I've encountered an oddity... I tried to update an image with a new one under the same name, and the darned thing said it uploaded the new one, but showed the old one. Tried it again 3 times to no avail. I had to remove the image code completely and upload it again under a different name for it to work. What did I do wrong on that part? It seems I either didnt know what I was doing or something else is goin buggy in the system. And thanks for the Image code Lemming64, Ill try it out now. The smaller font size is harder for me and others to read, and while I don't mind your own content being in a font of your choosing, the talk page isn't really exclusively your content, and should be easily readable by everyone who needs to utilize it. As per GWW:USER, the contents of a user talk page should not have any special formatting applied. Thanks in advance.
