Updates[edit]

Things that have changed since GW:EN came out...let me see...

  • One biggie would be the introduction of the Bonus Mission Pack just a few days ago, which has caused quite an uproar from the people wo weren't able to acquire it.
  • The introduction of the PvE-only skills in GW:EN made PvE even more easy. Skills like Pain Inverter and Ursan Blessing enables people to trash through the Elite area's {Domain Of Anguish and so) without many problems. You just need some coordination, thats all.
  • GW:EN introduced consumables, which makes your party even more resilient for the next 30 minutes. Essence of Celerity is really helpful on HM.
  • Check the information about the Hall of Monuments for a link between GW1 and GW2.
  • After completing the Underworld and FoW a chest appears. Eternal Blades are very much in demand.
  • Some nerf and buffs down the Monking line... Light of Deliverance, Word of Healing comes to mind. I'm not that into PvP so I'm not bothered with the balancing of skills, as long as my skillbar remains unaffected.

Hope this gives you some information, best would be to just play the game (buy GW:EN) and enjoy it. You really aren't fallen behind PvE-wise. Browse abit through the Game updates and visit some fora (Guildwarsguru for example) and ask the same questions there. Good luck.

By the way, would you care to sign your comments on my userpage with 4 tildes (~), It's nice to know who I'm talking to ^^ Arduinna talk 12:04, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Suggestion List[edit]

Hello Mr. Cartwright (chances are your much older than me)! I came here because I mainly wanted a redo on some PvP skills. I cry and mourn for the days that the skill entirely was changed. Then suddenly, Nightfall came out and PvE/PvP skills were starting to split up. :( This makes me a sad Bunny (Thumper). I'm hoping we can just stick with one version of the skill.

  • "Brace Yourself!" is fine with the PvP version, and I'd think it would be fine if we used that for PvE too.
  • "Can't Touch This!". I like the PvP version just fine. But perhaps, it could affect target ally?
  • "Fall Back!". Let's just go with the PvP version. Heroes/Henchmen cast skills like "Charge!" even with Fall Back on anyways.
  • "Find Their Weakness!" PvP version is fine, maybe we can make the increased damage something like 5...17...20?
  • "Go for the Eyes!" The skill isn't too different in either form. I would keep this skill in it's PvP-version. Or, get rid of the recharge, make it cost more adrenaline and let it affect the next 0...2...3 attack skills (that's 0, 12, and 15 respectively).
  • "Help Me!" PvP version is probably the best in my opinion anyways.
  • "Incoming!" Same as the Fall Back note. The 10 energy cost is relatively cheap considering Paragons have a good skill for energy management (IMO).
  • "Never Give Up!" PvP version seems better to use here.
  • "Never Surrender!" Same as Never Give Up.
  • "Stand Your Ground!" PvP version again, for some reason the PvP versions seem better for balancing. Plus, we already have good PvE skills to help us through.
  • "We Shall Return!" -_- PvP version please. The foes in the Desolation use this as a last resort. The Awakened Cavaliers attempt Signet of Return and if they're like 2 seconds from dieing. Boom, they shout and do an instant LoD (Light of Dwayna) but better (than Dwayna? *Gasp*).
  • Aegis is one of the few skills that I think should be left in it's separate forms [after all, even if you make it 25 energy and go with the PvE version, we'll find a way to Aegis chain once again (evil maniacal laugh)].
  • Spirits, I'm not even going to bother with these *** **** **** *****es. Just revert them to their original PvP forms (I'll explain later)
  • Ancestor's Rage. Could this become a maintained enchantment? When this enchantment ends foes adjacent to target ally are struck for X lightning damage. Yeah, no? Let me know!
  • Armor of Unfeeling I'm just going to go by the picture. I would put something like, "Sacrifice target allied spirit. Negate 5...41...50% of sacrificed spirit's health from you." I would target caster, otherwise it would be the good ol' Life Sheath back. Plus, it encourages points in Spawning Power AND Communing, yay.
  • Assassin's Remedy PvP version.
  • Avatar of Grenth PvP version. I've never seen common use of the PvE version anywhere too often for farming, or other sources.
  • Ballad of Restoration 25 second recharge acceptable? It's like a Reversal of Fortune with a long cool down. Plus 25 seconds is just an average from 20 and 30 seconds.
  • Bladeturn Refrain I'm thinking about doing a Shield Bash like skill here. Perhaps something like "Target ally blocks the next melee attack skill. The attacker is struck for 0...120...150% of that damage (damage type going with it). With a good eye, it could prevent a spike requiring Deep Wound.
  • Blazing Finale I'm all for the PvP verison on this one.
  • Chilling Victory I believe this skill belongs back in the Scythe Mastery zone, but it deals the extra damage it states if target foe is below 50% health or something. Perhaps not the best idea, I just want this back in Scythe Mastery.
  • Death Pact Signet PvP version. ^^
  • Defensive Anthem PvP version here again.
  • Discord is probably better with a 5 second recharge, or maybe even up to 10. But keep the one second casting time if you could, or make it 5/4 with a 3 second recharge to make it even longer. Then, we just hope the Spirit Bonders are good, or Peace and Harmony and Draw Conditions disables it.

I have more coming, but at this point I'm tired. So please watch for more possible/debatable skill changes recommended by Than 08:53, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi there![edit]

I know you have a lot of ideas for suggested changes you'd like to see. I would like to ask you to refrain from posting them on mainspace pages, or on staff talk pages. We are going to be opening the Feedback namespace very soon, and then you can create your own suggestion pages that can be read and commented on by the ArenaNet developers, as well as by other members of the community. Until this new space is open, if you feel you must post your suggestions somewhere, I would recommend you confine them to your userspace. Thanks! -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 05:35, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

I did, they're uploaded above your message. Than 10:07, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
I know, but you were also adding your ideas to the skill talk pages in mainspace. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 10:41, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, Expert's Dexterity got rid of it! ^^ Than 15:15, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

You[edit]

Should start signing with "Then". ---Chaos- (talk) -- 09:47, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

The name is based off of Thanatos. He was the Greek Judge of Death. Basically, determined whether you would live a happy life, or a sad life in the Underworld. Fits my Necromancer. Than 09:49, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
Then sign with either Thanatos or Then. Thanatos is a neat thing to name your necro after, but on the internet, it's just another random ass nickname.
You do understand the joke in signing with Then, right? ---Chaos- (talk) -- 09:56, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
Yeah I do get it. I don't really care about how I sign my name to be honest. Than 22:38, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
