Advice

Wyn, you're pretty clued up on wiki policies. Is calling an entire alliance a bunch of...and lets see if i get this completely right... "Dishonorable, disrespectful, cheating, scamming, lying, sleazy scumbags who take advantage of newbies and scam them", a breach of NPA or not? As I don't know myself. I respect your opinion and viewpoints on things like this as you seem to always be a calming voice in any argument, so just wanted to check with you before I go to the Admin noticeboard with it. It seems you have just created duplicate pages. I would suggest that your main user page User:Tesla be used for general information about you, with links to your various character pages User:Tesla/Dj Tesla and User:Tesla/Karina Ling. Thanks so much. I just figured out how to move page's today. XD So I am putting everything after the User:Tesla. Sorry it took me a bit to figure it out. Well, normally it's bad wiki etiquette to edit other's userspace. But if they have asked you to create their pages, that's cool. I just noticed you editing a couple of them. I wouldn't have edited it for any other reason. I'll admit I've had to look at how some other people set up their pages to be able to set mine up, but I never saved. I only helped Barbie cause she asked me and we are co-workers. For the email about the buyout thing. I didn't know you had to actually click on the little "buy out!" thingamajig. I did it before by just entering my bid price, albeit for a 2,000gp item. Hey hey Wyn, As you know I'm working on the mask pages at the mo and have started on the ranger ones and noticed that you're a primary ranger. I was talking about that:

old- Y0_ich_halt → new - Y0_ich_halt

The sig includes a link to the "shoepuppet" rather than the actual user account. (those secondary accounts are shorter forms of the actual accounts, Seru's sig actually doesn't include it, but he uses a longer signature than his actual user name, hence it has a similar structure.)

As i noticed you also created a "shoepuppet", i proposed to change your sig to this:

old -- Wynthyst → new -- Wynthyst

Well, but you already changed your sig...the other way round:

-- Wynthyst → -- Wyn

(Edit conflict) The colon means it doesn't take the template from the Template namespace -- however, when a namespace is defined (e.g. User:), the colon isn't needed. For example, if you did {{hello}} it would use Template:Hello. Yep, to be precise:

Pages in namespaces other than the "Template" namespace can also be used as templates, except for pages in namespaces specified in $wgNonincludableNamespaces. To use a page in the main namespace as a template, add a colon before the page name. Also it provides an alternative way of calling a template, which can be used in the case of a name conflict with a variable, e.g. Template:Ns:3 and Template:PAGENAME; while {{Ns:3}} and User talk:Wynthyst/Archive/July 08 give User_talk and Template, {{:Template:Ns:3}} and {{:Template:PAGENAME}} give Template:Ns:3 and Template:PAGENAME.

Hero armor images

Information can't be copyrighted, only its expression. Percentage chances can't be rewritten in any sensible way (pace expressing as a fraction) and are in any event too short to be a literary work in themselves. Therefore adding this info from GuildWiki is not a copyvio. It's arguably better for us to do our own research, but I don't see anything wrong with referencing Guildwiki's data if we have none of our own.Cassie 19:09, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Guild page cleanup

You mean cropping? Find the file in your Guild Wars Screenshots folder, edit it with an image editor like MS Paint, and use the dotted square (Or whatever other symbol/name they have) over your cape, then copy-paste it to a blank image file. I suppose I might as well. Admins and capable users aren't always going to be bored enough to help others, though, so try to get in some practice with other things. Play around with a sandbox, yours or the general one, experiment with the tools of your best image editor, things like that. It's fun, too. If you need anything else that's not admin-worthy material while I'm still on, just go to my talk page so Wyn doesn't get a bunch of pings in her watchlist. I don't mind helping clean up, but I do agree Volken that you could easily do it yourself. The template codes are all on the formatting guideline page. Question about my user talk archive

Hey. I noticed that you returned the archived discussions on my talk page back. I was wondering if the way I archived them was incorrect. I didnt just deleat the discussions, I moved them to User_talk:Neithan Diniem/archive. I left a Link to this archive at the top right side of the talk page. Is there a specific way that I should Move these discussions? I checked the User Talk Policy, and I cant seem to find what I did wrong with it. Could you perhaps tell me how I can archive my old discussions similar to the way that I did previously, without going agenst the rules? Thanks.Neithan Diniem
