Xien is attempting to steal the secrets from Oola's Lab. You will face him several times on the first level. Bringing him to low health will cause him to disappear, except when you are near the dungeon gate, where he will die and give you the dungeon key.

- Xien: "I suppose you're here for the treasure, too. Let me be clear: I'm looting the workshop of that floppy-eared nuisance and you're not. If you've got a problem with that you'll have to argue the point with these "Improved" security Golems, so why don't you make it easy on yourself and just go back the way you came?"
- Xien: "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a workshop to raid."
- Xien: "Didn't you hear me the first time? Buzz off!"
- Xien: "Can't you try harder? Make it a bit more...challenging?"
- Xien: "Didn't you hear me the first time? Buzz off!"
- Xien: "I shouldn't have eaten beans with breakfast this morning..."
- Xien: "Didn't you hear me the first time? Buzz off!"
- Xien: "You've got to be kidding me."

- Xien: "You just don't know when to quit, do you?"
- Xien: "Beaten by amateurs. How embarrassing..."

- It is not possible to obtain reputation points for killing Xien. On your final encounter with him once he gets to 10 percent health he will become an ally, initiate dialogue and then die. As a result, he does not contribute to the Dwarven Raider blessing and does not trigger Boss Bounty.
