- The name of this skill is a reference from the movie, The Princess Bride. Inigo Montoya notices the hero Westley, disguised as the Dread Pirate Roberts, using Bonetti's Defense against him in their duel at the top of the cliff - Westley says he "thought it fitting, given the rocky terrain."
- There is a boss in Old Ascalon named Bonetti whom this skill is named after.
