"Your Guild wars account has been terminated for payment fraud. This action is permanent." Today I get kicked out of my account, thinking it was my internet connection I attempt to log back in, but instead get this message. I recently bought additional storage, so this could've posed the problem. The thing is I have bought Nightfall and an extra storage slot before. So I called my bank to make sure everything was okay and they said the transaction went through and their was no problem with transferring money. Could anyone tell me what in the world is going on?

This is usually if there is some issue with your credit card. Contact support. -- Wyn talk 17:43, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Reply : The thing is , there is no issue I have used it before... and even called (my bank) to make sure everything was okay with the transaction :(. Thank you for the help though, but it would be greatly appreciated if someone could insight me a little further on this issue as I have already contacted support.

We're just players. We know less then you about what happened. Contact support, explain the situation, wait for a reply. Roar! Poki#3 (talk) 18:27, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

You can purchase a new access key through the online store or by buying a new copy of the game from any retailer. --Dragon Nataku talk to me 20:54, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Account hacked

My question is addressed to accounts being hacked. About a year ago my account was hacked and everything was stolen. But not only was everything stolen my main character was also deleted along with all 26 titlesI was offered very little help and the support team seemed cold when addressing my problem. All my hours of game play were lost and it felt like crap not being able to get back what was lost and having support telling me it was my fault. Has Anet made an upgrade yet to help players get back hacked account titles?--76.121.81.60 01:36, 8 November 2009 (UTC) And if not will there be better support in GW2?--76.121.81.60 01:36, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Please don't post the same question on multiple "Ask" pages. Sorry to hear about the hack. ArenaNet has not implemented any deletion-delay feature that can be found in a few (just a very few) online games. Most games don't have it. When someone figures out your password and logs in, the system has no way of telling that it's not you. So when a delete is requested, the delete will proceed. And if there's any possibility of restoring a backup, it would be right after a delete, not a year after. -- ab.er.rant 04:36, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Actually, it's extremely easy for the system to tell if a person isn't you. If the IP is different, the computer is probably different. It would be very simple to implement a deletion-delay feature that prevented a new IP address from deleting characters before 72 hours have passed. That's usually enough time to sort out an account hack issue without losing any characters. But hey, what do I know. –Jette 05:00, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
That's a ridiculous restriction for people who travel, or even who play at friend's houses, or for that matter have Dynamic IP addresses. I play at several locations from various IP addresses, and if I were restricted from having full access to my account (whether it was deleting a character or liquidating my inventory) I would be really unhappy. A little common sense please Jette. -- Wyn talk 05:06, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
It would only be inconvenient to people with dynamic IP addresses and people who are constantly using different new computers, if it remembered which IPs have used the account before. And I imagine there would be an option to turn it off for such people. It's not necessarily a perfect solution, but it might help. I would rather people simply not be capable of giving out their password for some reason, but I can't think of how that would work... –Jette 08:14, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Dynamic IPs are very common in Europe. Your ISP generally forces you to reconnect after 24 hours, which gives you a new IP, so having a 72 hour limitation would be impossible. poke | talk 14:39, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
I did not mean to post the question multiple times sorry. I also didn't wait until now to bring the issue of my account being hacked up. At the time I asked all support areas and they were unable to do anything and were unwilling to help me in any manner (this was within a 3-5 hour time period after my account was hacked). I would just like a friendly support team and maybe an e-mail notice/confirmation before a character is deleted on an account. If you had to confirm a deletion with e-mail that makes it so no IP address check is required. I feel this is a very real problem for the GW community and it needs to be addressed and fixed if possible. What if some type of insurance could be bought for an account, like a game save that is stored on Anets servers?--76.121.81.60 20:32, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
The game is already backed up on external servers, but no one will roll back millions of characters because someone got "hacked". Roar! Poki#3 (talk) 21:29, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
