Gaile Gray Talk Sunday July 8, 2007
Note: Gaile's appearance in the Great Temple of Balthazar was a result of a stoppage initialized by three german elite fan sites against the price policy of the upcoming mission pack and the lack of alternate paying methods for European customers. This event caused (the maximum of) 50 international and several german districts for about four hours.
Summary
- Network teams are working full-time to resolve the latency problem. Many players helped them by sending -diag and traceroute protocols to the support team.
- They are aware of the lack of alternate paying methods in the in-game store, Gaile asked if SMS will resolve this problem.
- SMS payment under way and coming soon.
- NCsoft's experience with PayPal was not a success, and they are not eager to do another test at this time, especially when there were a greater number of negative incidents and higher costs.
- It's possible they will test again.
- They know many like to have a boxed version in the online shop, but it's currently not possible
- Bonus packs won't ever be available for free.
- There are no plans to release them as a separate product in the online store in the near future.
- ArenaNet will release more exclusive content such as mission packs in the future.
