The Mentalists was a well established guild, formed in February 2006. With many years experience in the game, we have a core backbone to the guild, many members and officers have been here within the first few years of the guild's history. Although there are some aspects of the guild that have changed, we still hold our original roots and ethos.
We have many experienced players that have good knowledge of the game. We value teamwork, maturity and loyalty and enthusiasm.
With most members having completed most of the game, there was a general consensus to pause our Guild Wars lives and take some time out of the game and as such there is little activity in the final months of this game. However, members still retain their guild status and most members have cited the release of Guild Wars 2 for their return to the game - refreshed and ready to start an new chapter of our guild's adventures!
History
The Mentalists formed in February 2006, back then we were generally just a social/role-playing guild, ploughing through Propecies.
After the hype of the factions campaign was released, we decided to swift more to the Faction Farming side of the game. So gradually we built up, gained in factions and joined the [any] and we continued to grow and gain Cavalon (which we held for around 18 months with the alliance).
In the Summer of 2007, we decided it was time to move on (well, there was more to it than just that!) and spend a bit of time as PvE, doing Dungeons, title-hunting, etc. Many of us rapidly maxed many titles in-game, working up the Kind of a Big Deal ranks, as well as having much fun!
Eventually we decided to give the Kurzick side a shot so we changed allegiance and again, we got into the Faction Farming business. We held HzH for numerous months with [EFG] and [GdA] alliances, and in the latter stages, our own alliance.
From January 2008, [THPK] went PvE again: lots of Hard Mode missions and vanquishing, and just general title hunting. We also teamed up to do the daily Z-Quests. We also ventured into PvP, doing HA and more!
With Guild Wars 2 fast approaching, in 2009, many members decided to take some time out of the game, to be refreshed and ready to return for the release of the much anticipated game!

We are no longer recruiting: although you can expect us returning for Guild Wars 2!
Achievements
[THPK] was once longest serving member of, what was at the time, the #1 Luxon Alliance, [any] - the "Cavalon Alliance", spending a whole 18 months in an alliance.
[THPK] set the all-time world record for a Luxon Guild with only a 5k/day req., the lowest from any of the guilds within that alliance. We set the record of 14.5Mill, prior to the "fast faction farming" methods.
[THPK] owned HzH for several months with the [GdA] alliance and again set a record prior to the release of DSC and other notable new methods of faction farming, with almost 27mill faction.
We have beaten pretty much everything in HM, with our guild teams, including DoA, UW and FoW.
[THPK] were also part of the prestige [ZoS] alliance, as a PvX guild, for a significant amount of time.
[THPK] have housed the making of over 50 Kurzick Saviours and over 50 Luxon Saviours and not to mention more than 30 God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals's!
All officers have earned their place through maturity and commitment - although here we have no hierarchy; everyone is of equal value. We house great experience, great teamwork and community spirit - something that doesn't just appear overnight.
Despite many of the members mutually agreeing to move away from playing Guild Wars, we still maintain those core backbone members in the guild, which will all no doubt play a significant role in reigniting what was an amazing guild (and family!) for Guild Wars 2!
