The Regalia of Wisdom [RoW] is a Guild Wars-based guild. We play on the American server, and are part of the [PLUR] Alliance. At the moment, The Regalia of Wisdom is a general PvX guild. With helpful members and officers we maintain a decent amount of faction.

Rhaiah Vantahilx is your leader. We have a current seven-member Officer group, and have an average 25 Member population at any given time; we strive to increase that average.

How We Work

At The Regalia of Wisdom, we are very laid back and like to have fun. Offering / Providing help is what we strive to do best.

  • Something to remember is that we won't tolerate obnoxious behavior. Keep in mind that if someone is busy, they might not be able to assist you in whatever your need was. We are willing to lend a hand when we are able to. We have come across people who have walked into the guild and begged for something. And if they don't get their way they generally leave. Things like that are what we strive to avoid.
  • It is vital that you respect our guild members and alliance members. Showing respect towards the people around you is what keeps us moving. This includes the use of offensive language. Please remember to not use any offensive language in guild or alliance chat, such as swearing, racial or discriminatory jokes, and bullying. These actions will not be tolerated.
  • There are no age restrictions in The Regalia of Wisdom, However we do expect maturity and self control from our members.

PvE or PvP?

A common question potential members ask us when considering joining [RoW] is whether or not we are strictly PvE or strictly PvP. The answer is: We’re not “strictly” anything, but rather, we are “primarily” PvE. The concept of PvP is by no means repudiated from our agenda, but we focus more on PvE activities because it offers a more personal experience in-game, and offers a wider range of goals and achievements for players. Examples of this include cooperative activites like vanquishing, missioning, and exploring. When it comes to PvP, we find most interest in Kurzick/Luxon Alliance Battles or The Jade Quarry.

[RoW] Ventrilo Server

As of January 26th, 2011, The Regalia of Wisdom are proud to announce the creation of their new private guild Ventrilo server. Please consult Rhaiah Vantahilx, Slayer Essence, or Mathias Cali for the server information.

History

The Guild [RoW] was founded by Rhaiah Vantahilx and co-founder Dawn of Bloodshed. It was founded on June 25th, 2008 so it is a fairly young guild. We joined the Elite Lords of Chaos Alliance because several long-time friends were in it. [RoW] Officers [RoW]-Zeph Asile, [RoW]-Demon Rampage I I, [RoW]-Morrock Bloodaxe, and [RoW]-Dawn of Bloodshed have been four of [RoW]‘s earliest and most loyal members. Members from then on have been invited and only a handful have kept us going.

Within the first month or two we had great times, and a lot of fun. We recruited one of our most helpful members [RoW]- Zeph Asile who recruits a few members occasionally. [RoW] Zeph Asile is also the most active PvP player in the guild. He has managed to keep our faction up to above 300k faction at all times.

[RoW]-Demon Rampage I I has been a very trustworthy member and due to his activeness and helpfulness, he has been promoted to an officer and is still with us today.

On February 26th, 2009, we joined the GEAR Trick Alliance. Being a part of this alliance is a privilage. After doing skill-capping events and maybe a get-together here and there, we earned a spot on their guild list. Officer-Slayer Essence [RoW], officer-Mathias Cali [RoW], officer-I See No Tomorrow [RoW], and leader-Rhaiah Vantahilx [RoW] used to be a part of the GEAR Trick Alliance, so we had some friendly past times with [GEAR].

After the downfall of [GEAR] and the fall-apart of the entire alliance, [RoW] left the alliance to fly solo. An alliance is a to-be-determined issue. We decided to take out an old [GEAR] member’s suggestion to switch to a Kurzick Alliance. We followed through with this idea on August 8th, 2009, and switched over to a Kurzick Alliance. It seemed to be in favor of many guild members, and it wasn’t intended to be permanent by any means.

Soon after the kurzick switch, we came across an alliance know as Peace Love and Unity Respect Credo [PLUR]. Co-leader of [RoW] Dawn of Bloodshed informed them of our kurzick switch and had a chat with their leader. I was not comfortable making a commitment to a kurzick alliance when I knew we’d be returning to luxon soon. Their leader told me that they would soon be switching to luxon, so I reluctantly agreed to joining them. They came through to their word and we were soon luxon. Shortly afterward, [PLUR] disbanded due to inactivity and [RoW] was once again left without an alliance. We press on nonetheless to more alliances and more challenges today.

It didn’t take long after [PLUR] disbanded for [RoW] to slip into a guild recession. Persistent inactivity and the guild quickly decreasing in size led to a seemingly dead, alliance-less guild. In April of 2010, we decided it was time to take action and start a renovation for [RoW]. The guild is still in this renovation today, and through our efforts, we’re inviting new players to the guild every day.

After a couple months without an alliance, most of the guild began to realize that alliances aren’t always that important, but a nice thing to have when they work out. While recruiting in Kaineng Center one day, we were contacted by Dead Mans Nation [Dmn] with an alliance invitation. We discussed terms and we decided to leave our highly inactive sister guild [Derp] and join the [Dmn] alliance. So far, this alliance has proven to be the most friendly alliance we’ve seen thus far.

However, we were soon deceived by our [Dmn] alliance. Logging on one morning to find our alliance faction unusually low was a bit puzzling. It was soon discovered that the reason for our low faction was that we had been kicked from the [Dmn] alliance. The speculation behind this action was, and still is, unknown. Maybe [Dmn] wanted to rid themselves of superfluous guilds, or maybe they simply created some sort of fallacy about [RoW]‘s reputation. Whatever the reason, The Regalia of Wisdom is once again without an alliance, and we will move forward without one until further notice.

On October 26th, 2010, The Regalia of Wisdom held its first organized event in history: a new-member orientation. The Second [RoW] Renovation had been enacted, and many new members had been invited to join us in the guild, and to recognize them, this "party" was thrown and all were invited. Casual conversation, scrimmages, drinks, sweets, fireworks, and more took place at this event. We plan to hold more events such as this in the future to recognize all our members as they come and go, as well as different events for different reasons. We hope to see you there!

On January 26th, 2011, The Regalia of Wisdom obtained its first Ventrilo guild server. With this tool, we can join up with fellow guild members to chat instead of type for easier gameplay. If you’re interested in using this (a mic/headset is required for this), please visit our “[RoW] Ventrilo (New!)” page under “Resources.”

I have many people to thank for getting [RoW] this far, and many of them are still encouraging me today. We are striving to eventually participate in Guild Battles and gain a reputation outside the realm of Luxon Faction. Once we get more active members who are into both PvE and PvP, we can start forming teams and get more involved.

Recruitment

The Regalia of Wisdom accepts all levels and ages into the guild. We recruit in many places in all the campaigns. We recruit in places like Shing Jea Monastery, Kaineng Center, Ascalon City, Kamadan, and occasionally in places like the Eye of the North. Pre-Searing Ascalon has also become a popular recruiting site.

Contact Rhaiah Vantahilx, Zeph Asile, Slayer Essence, Mathias Cali, or I See No Tomorrow if you're interested in joining the Regalia of Wisdom [RoW]. From our main page, you can also use the "Contact Us" link under "Resources" to drop us a line.

Current Goals

Our current goal here in [RoW] is the 2nd [RoW] Renovation. Our first attempt worked for a month or two until most of our members slowly slipped into inactivity again. To achieve our goal, it's imperative that we make sure our guild members enjoy being in the guild, and give them a reason to log on more than once every couple months.
