Forgot about Purge Signet? --24.179.151.252 05:17, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Facing that bar makes me want to punt my cat off my roof. Pluto 04:17, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

No, this is what I saw [FFs] run (Me/N). I guess the last one was a sig, not sure. -- CoRrRan

(CoRrRan / talk) 08:56, 15 October 2007 (UTC) What if the last sig is sig of Res? will it be recharged too? ShoGunTheOne 13:09, 18 October 2007 (UTC) Probably not, rez sigs are disabled when used, not recharging.84.27.170.207 13:38, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

optional put bane sig. even at no ranks it can disrupt a spike chain or just keep a melee off you--Justice 00:51, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

That skill bar would be good with Symbolic Strike maxing out the +70 damage. Teranda Whisperwind 22:21, 22 May 2009

Relying too much on signets will make easy prey for skills like Rust, admittedly interruptable but still... Mortsu 15:02, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Does any more than 1% of the community even use rust? Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә & ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 20:30, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
Maybe not, but what about Ignorance? MUCH more common these days, and if an enemy mesmer is fast casting it... 99.241.34.49 00:09, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Symbiosis with Mantra of Signets[edit]

? —ZerphatalkThe Improver 12:57, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

ye, you could replace Mantra of Inscriptions with Mantra of Signets for a slight improvement...--Son of Batman 09:18, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Absolutely. If you use all of your sigs (or enough of them) then you can use Mantra of Signets to make Keystone recharge immediately. That way you don't have to worry about the recharge time of any other sigs. All you've got to do is keep in mind what order to activate your skills in. You would be able to use all of your signets three times in a small period of time, and then just wait a few more seconds for Keystone or Mantra of Signets to recharge.- Ara

holy crap[edit]

Wait wait wait, this doesnt recharge res sig or sunspear rebirth sig does it?--Raph User Raph Sig.png 00:31, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

See the Notes section - "This skill will not recharge Resurrection Signet." :P Talk br12(talk) • 00:34, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Um did not see that notes before ><--Raph User Raph Sig.png 00:36, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
This Signet only recharges when you gain a morale boost., if you take this literally it makes perfect sense. Dark Morphon 09:23, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Signet of Stamina[edit]

If you added signet of stamina in the blank spot, it seems like it would help out with high enough strength (assuming a primary warrior) since signets don't count as attacks. Or do they?75.166.158.50 09:20, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

They do not. But that would be bad, because you lose out on Fast Casting. Vili User talk:Vili 09:32, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Once again, symbolic celerity. And if you really want, add dolyak sig/healing sig. 99.189.121.185 01:23, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Mantra of Signets[edit]

Surely not... User A F K When Needed Signature Icon.jpg A F K When Needed 20:35, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Oh yes indeedy. Use up your signets -> Mantra of Signets -> Keystone Signet -> Use up your signets

Hero Usage[edit]

Anyone know if heroes will use this properly, or just randomly activate it? Nay the One and Only User Nay the One and Only SIG.png 01:50, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Heroes seem to be using this pretty much correctly, on a signet bar. Equipped a hero with this the other day, with Symbolic Celerity and a variety of signets including SoLS and Gwen kept this one up most of the time... Twam Valandil 94.209.65.245 09:12, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
I disagree. Gwen doesn't keep up Symbolic Celerity outside of battle. During battle, she sometimes activates non-FC signets before recharging it. She only maintains Keystone Signet during battle, however, she does reliably recharge it. More importantly, though, her AI isn't clever enough to strategically target the right adjacent foe to take advantage of Keystone's damage/interrupt effects.
As one of 6 or 8 party members, a mesmer hero will still be very effective using this skill in PvE areas when you can ball up foes. However, in elite areas (e.g. Slavers), the player will have to micro her to ensure she's effective enough to compete with more traditional Me hero builds.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:16, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

back to sig meta[edit]

didnt miss it last time won't miss it when anet finally nerfs it 3 months from now 68.93.109.105 02:57, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Added. Taka Ragranok 23:06, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
It's noted in the skill infobox, and it's not standard formatting. You may want to look at the formatting guidelines and argue that it should be changed, if you feel strongly about this. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 23:08, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
Alright, I'll run through it again. I've seen that on other Elite Skill pages, hence why I thought it standard protocol. Sorry for the confusion. Taka Ragranok 18:21, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Signets that target allies[edit]

Does this affect them? I know, the description is usually right enough, but can't hurt to be sure. :) User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 18:28, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Would certainly be fun if it did. Can't test it myself currently. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 19:42, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Not always, but most of the time, yes. Spotina Talk 22:46, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Tested. Signets that target allies or do not target do not trigger Keystone Signet's secondary effect, just like the original description implies. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 23:33, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
But would they use up a "charge" of keystone's secondary effect?
I'd like to know this too. Not sure how I'd go about testing it though. Pjwned 03:01, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

Dumb Question[edit]

If you are a secondary Mesmer (no Fast Casting attribute), How does the damage work (since the skill is activated on the next "0" signets)?? The description "seems" to imply that Secondary Mesmer's "need not bother' equipping this!! 68.59.41.150 19:38, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

The only thing that Keystone will do for non-mesmers is to recharge all signets every 15s.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:03, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Only Fast Cast Phroph Skill?[edit]

Is it?--Nurrdllles 01:37, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, but that's not saying much, cuz there are so few FC skills at all... | 72 User 72 Truly Random.jpg | 03:28, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
i know its been a while since this was last mentioned, but i only just spotted this without a definate answer, what about Mantra Of Recovery? Spark-TBa 16:46, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

Scatter[edit]

Does this cause scatter if e.g. a hero spams signets triggering this skill's AoE damage? Jeree95 15:23, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

Area_damage_over_time causes scatter. Keystone doesn`t. A hero with this skill can handle pretty well example: http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build%3ATeam_-_UW_Heroway. If playing Hard Mode and with a tank holding the aggro on him, it works nicely. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji (talk) 16:37, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

Order of actions[edit]

Which one happens first, the interrupt or the effect of the signet you're using to trigger KS? For example, as Bane Signet requires your target to be attacking, does the KD ever happen since KS would interrupt the attack just before Bane knocks the target down? Jeree95 (talk) 08:00, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Finally decided to test this myself, and it appears Bane Signet's KD takes place before Keystone's interrupt. I'd assume other signets work the same, and add it to the article. Jeree95 (talk) 14:34, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Keystone doesn't interrupt the target, only those adjacent. Justice (talk) 20:28, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
