Now you know who gives the new quests oO DemonicFahrirDesecrate Enchantments.jpg 15:19, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
"Everything here..." + She have her position locked (she turns back after interacting with her)as if she is looking at the ship... or is she looking in the same direction as something else in Droknar's forge? ;) --Orgeron 16:38, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Glint is evil unless you steal her eggs!!!!!--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 16:55, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Maybe she's staring toward where Orr used to be? 66.170.212.17 03:58, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
No, too far west. Staring right at the ghost ship - which would be closer to the Tarnished Coast/Ring of Fire Islands. I doubt that. My personal theory is that she's part of a faction that'll be opposing the Lunatic Court - main reasoning being that all previous costumes have been of two rival sides (Grenth vs Dwayna, Shining Blade vs White Mantle, Liches vs Lunatic Court?). The trust thing could be for the players not to trust the Lunatic Court (and I do say we shouldn't trust insane people), and "Everything here is not what it appears to be." could be referencing the Halloween decorations - meaning that what we see isn't what it actually is (which is the case, more or less - perhaps confirming that the holiday decorations here are merely (powerful) illusions). Furthermore, with the reward dialogue of The Killing Joke and An Ingenious Plan, I think that the Nameless Lich (and the Lunatic Court) are intended to be expanded upon in the future (next year). -- Konig/talk 04:41, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Boy. I sure don't wanna wait that long. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 06:48, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
I hardly think so. It seems obvious there's more content coming within the next few days. Especially when you consider that, with any luck, GW2 will be out by this time next year... Arshay Duskbrow 11:22, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
I am sooooooo disappointed in Anet if they don't do anything but give these 6 quests and add 3 people, one which doesn't do anything...--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 16:00, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Six entertaining, lore-filled, highly-rewarding quests is quite more than I hoped for. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 16:03, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
6 of which 4 are "Kill enemy X, kill enemy Y, kill enemy Z, get your reward". Dialogues and texts are awesome, but the quest content doesn't really excite me. Waar Kijk Je Naar 16:33, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
"with any luck, GW2 will be out by this time next year..." What does that got to do with this? GW1 servers will still be running, new content will still be coming, and so forth when GW2 comes out. I wouldn't be surprised if the Live Team get more resources due to less being needed for GW2 once the initial release is out due to the core foundation of the game being made. -- Konig/talk 17:05, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Except, if Anet is good at business at all, the opposite will happen. A viable plan would be to have all GW:B content done with a reasonable amount of time before GW2. Considering that they're doing GW:B to keep people interested until GW2 comes out, Anet is probably going to follow this plan. No need to waste additional resources on a past project, they and the playerbase will be better off if they put everything they've got into GW2. 24.118.99.65 02:23, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
Hey who knows, maybe if this game runs for 25 more years, we'll see the fall of ascalon. and if it runs for 250 more years or so, guildwars 1 will be guildwars 2. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Nibelhim (talk).
(Edit conflict) Considering that they're going to be keeping GW1 up after GW2's release, it would be silly to rush - and in turn half-ass - the GW:B content. Especially when taking the amount of resources they have access to into account and the fact that they're not gaining money through GW:B except through the costumes. There isn't any "wasted" resources, and all that's being put into GW1 atm is a handful of designers and programmers (I think it totals to 3 designers, 2 or 3 QA, and their producer at this point in time) - any extra people that work on it (such as all art resources they get) is done on overtime of those people's time. To me, it would seem silly not to continue content after GW2's release, seeing how people won't be getting GW2 for various reasons, and people will be getting GW1 (and returning to GW1 for new content).
Edit: @Nibelhim: ... I do hope you're joking because the game's timeline clearly doesn't follow reality's timeline... After all, Nightfall was released a year after Factions, but takes place 3 years later (same goes for EN to NF). -- Konig/talk 02:41, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
How completely unrealistic, how could they implement something so wrong like an unrealistic timescale in a game, completely unlike that one thing, what's it called again... magic? It's just blasphemy!--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 14:55, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
I know right? well, even if they slowed down time somehow... following prescheduled holidays... they are forced somewhat to follow a certain timeline. and this is still assuming the servers are up and running 250 years from now when we are all dead. or... zombies... or living in jars.... or cyborgs.... lolNibelhim 15:02, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

I travelled to Orr and look what I got, more time with my grandchildren, and a good meal when they died^^--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 06:22, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Was hoping the Lich would take part in some new Halloween finale event =/ and now halloweens over... Frostnova 16:00, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
^My feelings exactly. I want to see a conclusion to our new halloween quests.  :( 67.149.248.3 00:37, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
There will be a conclusion. Don't be surprised if further developments pop up as time goes on, instead of it just strictly being the entirety of it happens next Halloween. I'm not that mean. Usually. XP John Stumme 23:16, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

She is missing this year :O 90.200.87.247 21:43, 20 October 2011 (UTC)

John Stumme[edit]

John Stumme mentioned this NPC in his most recent edit of his user page ("Random Thoughts: Surely, that Lich must do SOMETHING!") and his talk page. --Silver Edge 04:03, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Didn't bother mentioning here due to the wtfhating comments above, but Stumme has allowed the TK to say that the Nameless Lich during Halloween was merely foreshadowing. -- Konig/talk 07:20, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Or is it... ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 07:21, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN!!!!!!! King Neoterikos 07:24, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Meh, if this is one of those "oh, but you were helping the wrong guy" kind of things I'll be a little disappointed. 203.109.218.36 20:03, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Too bad they fucking stopped with the updates, I bet the Bloody Prince is not exactly somethign new but it was recycled into gw2, there was planned content whihc is now gone.

Goal ?[edit]

Maybe Nameless Lich is just here to promote the costume. Joeyw 19:31, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

I know I would advertise my product in a remote corner of a town nobody visits. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 01:46, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
So, to be continued ? Joeyw 11:03, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, you didn't see John Stumme's comment above? You should read it. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 06:56, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Livia[edit]

'nuff said. --talk Large 14:32, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

I never understood why everyone says that Livia turned into a Lich after taking the Scepter. --Santax (talk · contribs) 15:37, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Since Livia was mentioned, I must say a comment which I find humorous: People have been wanting Livia to be a "sexy lich" for a long time (always seemed weird to me). People get a "sexy lich" (female lich outfit), and people complain that it's slutty. xD -- Konig/talk 19:04, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Well, yeah, maybe it's not Livia. We don't really know how the Vizier turned out to be the Lich, but of course the Scepter of Orr had nothing to do with it, since he is already a Lich when we see the Scepter for the first time. However, it is a female lich right there, and it could be foreshadowing. Additionally, the WiK did not shed any light as to when Livia finds the Scepter. Bottom line: I'm purely speculating, but I enjoy that a lot. --talk Large 05:25, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
Khilbron's turning into a lich is highly implied to be caused by the Cataclysm - though the Shards of Orr hints at him being older (that, or Orr has had multiple corrupt necromantic viziers). -- Konig/talk 05:30, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
If anything it could be Evennia, she did vanish under mysterious circumstances.Veldara 04:38, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
Evenia fits in perfectly. Can't wait to find out, good guess Veldara. 95.180.84.110 00:10, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Other speculation[edit]

During the Halloween event, it appeared this creature was staring at the ghost ship. Outside of the event that ship is different. Canthan perhaps? Could the lich have been an omen related to the upcoming Winds of Change? 76.164.71.104 17:31, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

that's far sought and the Lich occured in mroe locations than just LA. --you like that don't you..The Holy Dragons 21:47, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
I think the person was referring to the NPC relevant to this discussion, the Nameless Lich -- Ralmon -- 09:45, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
still too far sought, that lich could be staring at the ocean maybe she used to be a mermaid... --you like that don't you..The Holy Dragons 15:04, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
It might as well be staring the the sunken remains of Orr...or just some fish swimming in the ocean. Truthfully i don't think she is staring at anything and that speculations about it are nothing more that some far sought ideas. People like to see connections and also like to make them if there are none, no matter how ridiculously stupid those connections are. In this case i would say that people want to see a connection between the location of the Nameless Lich and the role it plays in the future even if there is none at all. I'm not excluding it but it's highly unlikely and nothing more than baseless speculations that hold no ground. Da Mystic Reaper 15:25, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Didn't Stumme said that the Nameless Lich was foreshadowing? However, since the Halloween stuff is unrelated to Beyond, it's probably foreshadowing to either Joko (lich to lich) or something further along. Perhaps that "someone who seeks to re-enter Tyria" (or w/e it was) whose attention is gained by the Lunatic Court's actions. Konig/talk 15:48, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
That Stumme did indeed mention and it's obvious that the Nameless Lich is foreshadowing it. But this speculations is about it's location and what it's staring at and i commented at those speculations, i did not mention it isn't involved in anything just that the speculations made about the Nameless Lich are all baseless and far sought. Da Mystic Reaper 15:57, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
"In this case i would say that people want to see a connection between the location of the Nameless Lich and the role it plays in the future even if there is none at all." Must have misread that as you saying that it wasn't foreshadowing. Konig/talk 16:04, 24 October :If 2011 (UTC)
As i have misread the 10 minute KD of yours :). What i meant with even if is none at all is the connection to the location of the Nameless Lich (what it's looking at) and it's future role. I didn't mean to say it does not play a roll. I hope that clears up the misunderstandings of my post. Da Mystic Reaper 16:48, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
If you go near her and look at her same direction and open the map, you'll notice she's looki g towards Kryta and towards Lion's Arch. --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 22:15, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Glint[edit]

Maybe this is a way to canonize what Glint says in the novel that we come back to kill her. the lich says "Be careful who you trust, mortal. Everything here is not what it appears to be." the lich is in droks so is glints avatar. Maybe the lich plays double agent like Glint, telling us half truths and whole lies, that Glint is a dragon champion that used us for her own profit to help her master. (a half truth) and if we kill her that ED will go to sleep like primodious did. ( a lie) since glints death did nothing affect her masters sleep since hes awake in GW2 but out chars dont know that. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.238.166.198 (talk) at 22:54, 10 January 2012 (UTC).

Entirely incorrect. All of it. 38.108.151.202 21:53, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

2012[edit]

Now that gw2 is released and updates for gw1 are going to diminish if this char was going to do anything I think it would be active by now. Anyone notice anything different about the lich?--Vesmir 17:33, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

Expect her to be involved with the new Lunatic Court quests when they are released. Chieftain Alex 17:47, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
What was the Lich's involvement? I seem to have missed it :( 76.164.65.219 08:15, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
