From the Journals of Darrin Trailsong, M.Bd.
Where this statuesque young necromancer came from is anybody's guess. She appeared, it's been said, rising from the ashes of the Searing with an army of the dead at her back, the very ground trembling beneath the weight of those old bones brought back to serve her. It was as though each and every man, woman, and child whose bones had been buried in the Catacombs had been freed of the bonds of death and had come back at her whim to take back Ascalon from the Charr armies... only to be utterly wiped out when she lost control of them under the weight of her own hubris. Palawa Joko she most certainly is not. This maiden of death, however, seems to have found a new calling in her de facto second life; she appears to be concentrating her focus now on those effects that weaken the bodies of others rather than those that raise an army to serve-- almost as if she discovered an epiphany in discovering her own all-too-human frailties. Lyssa Zzniral is a woman to steer clear of, in my not so humble opinion. And I say this not simply out of healthy respect for those darkling abilities, but because I've learned she tends to desire revenge upon all ex-lovers and those who might happen to read their work... |
