Missing the default and gray color[edit]
Actually, they are not needed. I have yet to see them in any armor dye chart, and it was even listed on the project guidelines, since the default color is usually gray as it is, and there are separate gray images above the dye chart. I edited some of the project guidelines before you tagged that though to make this more clear. For weapons they are needed, but not usually for armor. Previously Unsigned 12:08, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
I see. Very well ^^- But i think the default should be there.
Andi've seen armor dye charts with both default and gray. Take grenth's regalia for example. And ofcourse in cases where the default isn't gray. - J.P.Talk 12:16, 19 April 2010 (UTC)- So far only the EOTN are dyed red, but then you have red in the list already. Do you know of any more? That's just why I don't do it. There was an update that made all new armors default to gray somewhere. Previously Unsigned 12:32, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the redirect[edit]
I'm noticing that all images attached to signatures go to the user's talk page, though the URL is still that of the image. I'm confused as to the procedure; does one have to manually convert the image page into a talk page? I'm new to the whole concept of wiki use and would love some tips. Sponge 17:44, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
- You just click edit when you're at the file page (that would be File:User Damp Sponge Signature.png for you). Then you type (on top of everything, so it will work)
#redirect [[<Page>]]
. Replace <Page> with the page you want the file to redirect to. If you want your signature image redirect to your talk page add:#redirect User talk:Damp Sponge
- Remember, our signature policy only allows signature images to redirect to your main page (here, in this wiki) or your talk page. - J.P.Talk 18:06, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Trophy dropped by bosses[edit]
Hello! You have undone my note about 2 cobalt bosses who drop the Cobalt Talon here:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/index.php?title=Cobalt_Talon&diff=2066060&oldid=2066057
Your argument is: "Same creatures as ones listed"
I need to note this:
1) There were no direct link (or mention) in the article about all cobalt species who drop this trophy. With a reference like "Cobalt talon is dropped by all Cobalt", yes, mention about specific bosses could be excessive (however, no cobalt bosses are currently listed on the Cobalt page).
2) I added the note in the same way as it's already done on lot of other pages, for example: Sapphire Djinn Essence, Skelk Claw, Skull Juju, Water Djinn Essence and some other articles contain the ordinary species as well as bosses who drop the particular trophy.
3) I checked again the formatting guide Guild_Wars_Wiki:Formatting/Items, there are no specific requirements for list of monsters in "Acquisition" section. Litterally "List all places or monsters where the item can be obtained." doesn't contain a requirement to make a reference to species and doesn't restrict the mention of specific bosses.
So, I can conclude that my addition didn't violate any existing rules and traditions.
If you think that your edition made the information more consistent that I attempted to do, OK, but would it be better to begin from the formatting guide and make the appropriate changes/recommendations there instead of revert the particular pages which you have randomly noticed?
What can you say? --85.141.67.56 10:21, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

- I'm always subject to changing shit around. There's two names for every song. MINE, and what we'll call it in game. For example, we wouldn't put Enter WTF man as a main menu song, it would have to be called theme song, etc. So anyway. I'll look into what I did wrong on a couple of parts because I'm still learning how to master guitar xD. (I'm pretty crappy)
- Also, what you're saying for the 30-44, it's supposed to be like that, it's called making an entrance. But if people don't really like it, then I'll have to fix that. (I was high when I wrote that song, don't blame me.) →[ »Halogod (talk)« ]← 07:06, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Copyright[edit]
Yo dude this was released for all non-commerical use; as I'm quite sure people can't use the material of GWW contributor to turn a profit I don't see how the license is incompatible, and if not then it was certainly a wayward tagging. I'm not here to argue with you as I won't be using it afterall, but I find your tag a little perplexing.
In the same way the pages here on GWW have contributors, the images on that website have creators. Images I upload are not released for commercial use so I honestly don't understand how there was a problem here. A F K When Needed 20:01, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Question;[edit]
Ive been thinking about this for a while and was wondering, When we get pictures of weapons, why dont we keep the entire model in? it give more of a "what he'll look like when hes wielding this" feel, ive already done it with File:Mursaat Hammer.jpg,File:Fire Staff (Canthan).jpg and File:Zoldark's Staff.jpg, i first got this idea when i was looking at the model on the page. it looks, more normal. instead of just showing a part of the thigh and the hands. So im asking,How about we re-do every screenshot using Salomes dye backround whitener and take the picture of the weapon with the entire model? ... --Neil2250 12:07, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- I can't remember where I saw it at, GWWiki or GW2Wiki, but someone came up with the bright idea to have the render image and then use a show/hide toggle for the char+weapon image. The best of both worlds and with the toggle, the info box stays clean and not cluttered. — Gares 12:14, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Image Files[edit]
Good afternoon. I just created my account today, and I'm mildly confused because I uploaded a few image files that have been moved/deleted. I like being able to add image files if I deem they are appropriate and add something to the article (there are other websites to go to if one is simply looking for attention or posting random images, clearly), but if I'm going to take the time to do so, I want to be sure I'm following the proper parameters and not, well, cluttering. Is there a chance you could give me some pointers on linking/uploading image files?

Mobile editing sucks![edit]
Do you guys know any good mobile browsers?
I could use my default, but it has a single, ridicilous flaw. It can only show a certain ammount of text in the edit box. If i edit a big page, a portion of the page is removed from the box and from the page when i save the changes, like in one case just today.
I've tried Opera 10, but it crashes too often (three times in less than an hour). The Mini is unable to load pages -.-
