Exciting week

Hey all,

Last week I promised you’d get your first glimpse of Guild Wars 2 “very soon now”. That day is almost here.

I want to thank all our fans for their patience as we developed the game to the point where we can start talking about it publically. I know you’ve all been anxiously awaiting this moment. You’ll soon understand how ambitious we’ve been and what we’ve accomplished during these past two years of development. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but from here on out we’ll be able to provide you with more regular updates.

Guild Wars 2 is going to be a huge leap beyond the original. We have the best team in the industry executing at the top of their game, and I’m very proud of what our team has accomplished so far. As I said last week, I’m confident that when you get your first look at what we’ve been working on, you’re going to love what you see. Stay tuned for an exciting week ahead.

Yes, the GamesCom is this week, but only Martin Kerstein will be there. NCSoft will have a stand about Aion there, but there were rumors about a Guild Wars 2 Trailer for GamesCom before, so I guess they will show it in between. poke | talk 21:30, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

They can always make "guildwars.com" into their main site with "guildwarsX.com" being just a promotion thing then it doesn't matter if some one does register guildwars4,5,6,7 and 42, still, if gw2 will live for at least as long as gw1 and if gw3 will do the same, then the "gold digger" that did register "guildwars4.com" will have to wait some 10+ years for a payout maybe more, paying something of 300$ upfront and not knowing if ANet just wont take over the .com domain on grounds of a copyright violation. It was the Undead Dragon (nicknamed "Malchor" by the player community) which rose Orr from underwater. Also, Primordus (again, to our knowledge) woke up on his own. If we didn't kill the Great Destroyer, then he would have woken up during the time of Eye of the North, or just after.
