Hammer Mastery is a warrior secondary attribute.
“Hammer Mastery increases the damage you do with hammers and your chance to inflict a critical hit when using a hammer. Many skills, especially hammer attack skills become more effective with higher Hammer Mastery.

Each point in hammer mastery increases the damage you deal with a hammer and the chance to score a critical hit while using a hammer.

[edit] Knock downs
- The four Hammer Mastery elites like Devastating Hammer, Backbreaker, Earth Shaker and Magehunter's Smash provide a knock down that does not also cause you to lose all adrenaline like non-elite options such as Hammer Bash and Yeti Smash. The elite Enraged Smash also provides an easily achieved conditional knock down.
- Forceful Blow is the only Hammer Mastery elite that does not cause knock down. Counter Blow is the only non-elite adrenaline skill to cause conditional knock down without draining all adrenaline. Irresistible Blow is the only non-elite energy skill to cause conditional knock down without draining all adrenaline.

- Knock down features as a conditional in many Hammer Mastery skills; providing the Blind conditions like Belly Smash, the Weakness conditions Pulverizing Smash, the Dazed conditions like Overbearing Smash, the Deep Wound conditions like Crushing Blow, and instant skill recharge like Renewing Smash.
- Weakness also features as a conditional in many Hammer Mastery skills; dealing extra damage, being unblockable like Auspicious Blow, providing conditional knock downs like Yeti Smash or causing a knock down like Heavy Blow. It can be applied using either Devastating Hammer, Forceful Blow, Pulverizing Smash or Staggering Blow.
- Crushing Blow, Fierce Blow and Pulverizing Smash are the only skills able to apply Deep Wound in Hammer Mastery and require the target to be knocked down or suffer from Weakness.
- Enraged Smash provides an unconditional method of generating adrenaline to fuel other non-elite Hammer Mastery skills; while Auspicious Blow and Mokele Smash are the only non-elite skills providing adrenaline and Energy gain.
- Along with melee attack skills, Dwarven Battle Stance also affects Hammer Mastery attack skills.
