- Chained Souls have an innate health degeneration: left on their own, they die in approximately 70 seconds and respawn in 120 seconds.
- Similar to most other PvE foes, they only drop items the first time they die, making it nearly impossible for players to obtain loot from them in the Underworld. In contrast, they are easier to kill in the Ruins of the Tomb of the Primeval Kings, particularly in the first room.
- Some players believe these foes were introduced to reduce farming.
