Dao Weng is a dishonest merchant and a member of the Crimson Skull. He embarrassed himself by arguing with an Angchu Tengu, Swift Honorclaw, over grain in front of his associates. To save face, he hired Panaku to assassinate the Tengu, claiming to the Assassin that a crime was committed. When his lie was found out, he was assassinated in order to regain the trust of the Angchu.
