Ebon Vanguard Scouts are NPCs that provides the Vanguard Patrol blessing. When first talked to, with at least 25 kills, you receive a bonus. When awarded bonus reputation points, the bonus is greater with more kills.

In Grothmar, near exit to Sacnoth Valley

"Hail, and well met! You're one of those adventurers, aren't you? Well, Captain Langmar has ordered us to eradicate creatures in the area. Would you like to assist?"

 Accept: "I'm always happy to help out the Vanguard"

 Decline: "I need to see a Norn about an ooze"

 Ask: "There's no time to argue. Just get out there and do what you can. That's all any of us can do, in the end."

South of Molotov Rocktail

"Before we can even be assigned to any real duty, we have to prove ourselves by killing all these creatures. Might you be interested in killing a few for us? We'll never forget your service, and we'll share Captain Langmar's orders to give you a head start!"

 Accept: "Anything for the sons and daughters of Ascalon."

 Decline: ""Prove yourself" generally means "do it yourself.""

 Ask: "I just want to leave this place and get back to the front. They need every sword they can get..."

Northeast of Molotov Rocktail

"They say you're a miracle worker, born from Dwayna's breath. If so, we could use one...a miracle. The creatures roaming these lands are becoming too much for our reserves to fight, and we can't afford to take any men off the front line. Captain Langmar's asked us to clear them out. Grab a set of orders and get cracking."

 Accept: "Ask and ye shall receive."

 Decline: "I don't trade in miracles."

 Ask: "There's no reason to yell at anyone. We're all doing our best to survive and get home again."

In Sacnoth Valley

Outside Catacombs of Kathandrax and Rragar's Menagerie

"At last, a friendly face! These lands are perilous, and we cannot return home until they are clear. Would you be willing to lend a hand while you're out here, adventurer? I'll even give you my conscription orders from Captain Langmar...they'll help you!

 Ask: "The sooner the creatures die, the sooner we can get back to retaking Ascalon."
