No he can't. To clarify things more: The access key you get as part of your purchase is used to register the product once and only once. Once an access key has been used once, it is useless and forevermore tied to the account you activated it on. Your account is created and secured only with your login and password. I see a used copy of Guild Wars for sale on ebay. Is this a scam? Or is it possible to use an old access code?

My charecter wont work

I cant play as a certain charecter i have made.When i try to logg on as him the screen goes black and stays black. Then when i exit out, on the screen it sais " Guild Wars has encountered an unrecoverable graphics drive error and must terminate." Then it shows a link. What do i do ti fix this problem. I need to play as my charecter Tiger Forester. Can you guys please fix the problem for me so i can continue to play on this cartain charecter?

Purchase of an another account

Is there anyway to purchase account codes without having to buy the disks? Aside from the manual, box, and other goodies, yes, only the access key is needed. You can buy them via the game client from Guild Wars In-Game Store or direct from plaync.com. -- ab.er.rant 06:17, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

From the sounds of it, you're thinking of buying account codes for additional accounts, not to add to your current account. The only store I know that only sell codes for new accounts is the PlayNC store. — Galil 15:15, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

I was doing "Old Mac" quest. When I was walking, I was disconnected and I cannot relogin. It said "suspended, excessive manner,71 hours". What have I done wrong? Once I have seen a sentence, it looks like excessive, I think that's the warning, but at that time, I was writing "I got 500G want to buy powerful sword", I wrote it again by press "enter" and "up arrow", so I can type the latest message without retyping. And excessive senences has came. I don' understand, I've never said rought word or anything illegal. Were you writing that in a town, using the "All" chat? If so, you were breaking the rules, because you are not allowed to trade in the All chat, you must use the Trade chat. You are also not allowed to repeat the same thing many times in a short space of time (spamming). You probably got reported by another player who didn't like it. Unfortunately you'll just have to wait the 3 days, and be more careful how you use the chat next time. :) Also, we are not ArenaNet here, we are just fans, so we cannot unblock you. hi, i scratched my access key to hard and i lost one letter/number. what can i do now? i did guessed all 36 characters. and it didnt work.... man this is gay tho.. i bought this for my friend and and so i scratched the access code for him, and... man now what am i gonna do? can't yall please look up the access code since i have almost all the characters only missing like 1 or 2. please, bc this is so gay, and he really wanted to play it too... and thanks...

Well, if you're only missing 1 character, then you're going to just have to guess. There are 36 possible characters, so it shouldn't take too long. You are able to guess; you are simply misreading the error message. The message is saying that your access code is wrong, and to watch out for things like l and I, 8 and B. Just what did you do to it? :S There's a plastic tape protecting the account key, and I just tried scratching away a character on mine with a screwdriver and even a knife, and couldn't scratch it away. My guess is that the card either wasn't printed with the character to begin with (printing errors do occur, albeit not often) or that there's something else that's wrong. Go to your respective language's support, click "My Stuff", at the bottom click "Create a New Account". Fill in all the boxes, click "Create Account". Can't remember if you're supposed to get an email after that, but if you are, check your mail and follow instructions. 2 same games on 1 account

What happens if I have an Factions game on 1 account and i add Factions Collects Edition on that account, what effects would that have?

You would gain the extra benefits of the collector's edition, and that's it. So that effectively wastes the standard Factions game. This isn't really an account question, but then it's not really a game question either so I won't move it there. You're much better off asking for prices for graphics cards on PC, Hardware, and Gaming websites, or buying a good PC magazine (in the UK, PC Format is great). An excellent (and free) website is Tom's Hardware. Keep in mind though, that Guild Wars is quite easy on the Graphics Card, so unless you are going to play a lot of new games, you don't need to get the latest and greatest. I have an ATI Radeon X1950XT, and it plays Guild Wars excellently on full settings with no problems, as well as playing most games just fine too. 2. If you didn't get a key when you bought it, contact that store

• Make sure you check all the content of the package. The access key may be inside a black envelope that you need to open (printed inside of the envelope), or in a card that you need to scratch.
• If the game did not had the key code card, you will need to return it to wherever you bought it and ask for a product exchange.
• If you bought the game already used (an account from ebay by example), you are out of luck.

well it has a 4 digit number on the front that i type in and it does not work. where i think the number is, is on the back right after the creit card number on the white part. but it wont let me hit purchase if i dont have a 4 digit number

The credit card number should be 16 digits (usually made up of 4 chunks of 4 digits), and that's what's found on the front of the card. Then you need the expiration date of the card in the format; MMYY (M = month, Y = year). I guess that's the 4 digit number as it's usually listed on the front of the card. The CVV code is a 3 digit number found on the back, usually to the right of your credit card number (sometimes only the last 4 digits of the credit card number). — Galil 01:46, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

If that is your only campaign key that you own, then, technically, yes. I'm not for sure but i belive even though your key runs out, your account still exists. Therefore, if you buy the full version of Prophecies, you will get all your characters back--Raph Talky 19:26, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

I think your account will still be there(you can still log in and such), but you will get some sort of error message if you try to play on a character. How do I move the game to a different computer?

How do I uninstall Guild Wars Nightfalland install it to a different computer and still keep the account levels and items? I tried going to Guild Wars under start but it didn't have an option to unintall it.

I assume you still have all the disks, CD keys, etc, so just install the Game Client on another Computer and log on normally. You don't have to uninstall on the other one, it is not a violation of the EULA. If you really want to uninstall, then go to Start Menu, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and uninstall from there. Most online games like Guild Wars do not retain account information on your computer. That would make it prone to hacking and abuse. Account information (including all your character data) are stored on ArenaNet servers. getting guildwars to another computer

OK...downloading it is right. What you get off the disk gets replaced by that selfsame download the first time you run the client anyway. Deleting my previous account

I made the mistake a long time ago when I first got the game Guild Wars Faction to start a different account other than adding it to my previous account with the first game. Now that I got all four of the games I found out I cant play Eye of the North without all the games on one account. My father wont let me buy any more games till after August 6th, thinking I would spoil my 16th birthday by buying the games I’m aiming for. Long answer: you could try opening a Support ticket via http://support.guildwars.com and see if they could help you (you'd probably have to be able to provide them with the keys used to create both accounts to prove ownership). yes i have a warrior in eye of the north at doomlore shrine.everytime i try to do the mission that takes u into the cathedral of flames it kicks me . i had to delete a warrior because my nightfall froze and deadlocked him. i messaged u about this several times and never got a response. i would really apperciate some help with these matters. i understand u r really busy but what fun is a game that u can't seem to get to play that far into?

I can't read this

Every time I try to read my access code I can't do it. Its all blurry and stuff it's like impossible to read it. Is it possible i get a new one or something?

RE: ok I know what it says but It said code = 103 now ugh it's horrible. It's wasn't open when I got it I check 3 times to see and yup someone used it what should I do?

If you are sure the game was brand new, contact support. They will more than likely ask you for proof of purchase between other things. Also, make sure you didn't accidentaly create a new account with the code instead of adding it to your current account.--Fighterdoken 07:03, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
